First impression, and on-the-spot ride review of the latest touring motorcycle from Indian Motor Company, the New Indian Pursuit Dark Horse.
I wanted to start with a clean slate. I avoided any video or opinion of the new Indian Pursuit Dark Horse. This was the first time sitting on the bike that was tailored to fit my six-foot 6 inch frame as I quickly got acquainted with the new Pursuit for today's 130 mile ride making sure that I didn't need to make any last-minute adjustments before setting off to Tennessee for a 2,250 mile in 57 hours trip that included a 1000 mile Iron Butte and extreme heat crossing Death Valley and the scorching hot temperatures of South Texas.

Keep it real brother, I'm glad you will do an honest review (I've seen you do it with other Indians). You can still have your brand loyalty to Harley yet appreciate other brands. I'm not really sure why people don't get that. There are lots of good bikes out there, just because your brand is good does not mean other brands are bad. Keep rubber side down!

OK, I'm staying tuned as I'm interested to see how you like the higher rev ceiling on the Pursuit. And people have asked how a 108 ci bike can beat 121/131 in the bagger races ? Well, if you rode this bike to its fullest potential, you found out....

Great video. Either something weird with the camera refresh rate (most likely) made it look like I kept hitting my brakes, or there was something going on with my bike that made the brake lights keep engaging. 🤔. Probably lighting & refresh rate combo of the GoPros.

Great video Tall, enjoyed it, and looking forward to learning more about the Pursuit. I love my Street Glide, however there are tons of great motorcycles on the market today, and competition only brings better products to market, so I I’m glad you’re showcasing great motorcycles from Indian too! Wished I knew you were in our hood. I get to ride those roads year round and know I am blessed for it. Glad you got to experience them too. A lot of good (curvey) roads out east of San Diego. Ride safe and enjoy yourself. 👊

Nice vid! A “Victory” for Indian. (On steroids!) I knew Polaris wouldn’t scrap such a great platform! Yeah think I’m gonna buy one. Same leg room as mine… But right now I’m gonna saddle up on my ol 84K XC and ride to work . Ride on Tall !

Looking forward to more on this bike. I have been leaning toward a Challenger Dark Horse as the next bike in my collection (no Harleys yet). I agree with you on the lower farings, gotta have 'em. I feel like it's a catch-22 in that I know the accessories game at Indian needs a lot of work, but I don't want to be "just another Harley owner" either. I'm not mad at Harleys. They are undoubtedly the grand patriarch in the game and have earned their place of respect. Keep the great content coming! Now for the import stuff... a southern boy who doesn't at least eat sweet potato pie?!? Come on, Tall... no peach pie??! And then had the nerve to say you didn't even like ice cream. Dang, bro!

I’m an Indian guy and really like the new Pursuit. One of my grips is even though it has a removable trunk, if you take it off you don’t have an antenna for the radio. Looking forward to your other vids on it.

1700 Miles so far on my 2022 Indian Pursuit LTD. Excellent ride, plenty of power and all the tech you could need. Contrary to others beliefs, I think the tour pack fits the Pursuit better than the Roadmaster. The rounded lines are a perfect match to the faring.

I was able to demo one. I’m currently on a Springfield witch I love but the Pursuit is a amazing machine. Probably trade up next year if they put some colors I really dig. One thing I don’t get is the antenna is on the removable tour pack not the fender. What happens when you want to take it off as it’s a quick release 🤔

I wasnt a fan of the Challenger until Indian added the Tour Pack. I always thought that it looked a bit bulky in the front fairing, but the tour pak rounds it out. So much so that I am considering selling/trading my CVO Limited for one.

Tall have you tested the BMW 1600? I ride a 2020 Road Glide Special, love it but wish it had the 160hp stock on that BMW!!

I really like the Indian. I never cared for those style bikes and I hate HD. But, the Indian is just right, all around. I am in love with my GW DCT Tour, otherwise I would be at the Indian dealer by now. I can’t let mine go. It’s just too good right now. Maybe after I eat more miles, I will move on. BTW, good review!!!!

No knock against Indian, I’m just a Harley Dude. The bike looks nice, but the HD just commands respect, while the Indian doesn’t…in my opinion it’s kind of like Chevy vs Ford, 🤔some ppl say if it ain’t Chevy it ain’t….Good video btw, keep them coming!

I am thinking about a challenger. I rode a demo on a stock seat. I am 6'5 with 34 inseam. Couldn't hit rear brake comfortably. Did the extended reach seat make a difference for you?

Nice job man, looked like a beautiful day, certainly was beautiful scenery! I’m sure that the Indians have many great features, however apart from a small percentage of people, I believe that Harley people stay with Harley, and Indian people stay with Indian. I’ve never liked the Indian touring styling, the dash tends to look more like a car in my opinion. I’m not hating on them, just saying how I feel. ✌️

I have had 2 Harley's a 08 Lowrider and my current 14 Road King that has 92k miles on it. I am moving to a Pursuit because once you ride it you fall in love.

I happen to know a few different bros who ditched Harley for Indian. I've ridden both, Harley and Indian. Honestly, I kind of prefer the Indian. I still love HD, but IMO Indian has a slight edge. Victory had the potential to overtake HD as well, but dropped the ball. Hopefully, Indian will not.

Tall can’t wait for part ll glad you like Temecula CA. I live 40 minutes from there in Riverside that’s one of my favorite routes to go to Julian‘s to the Mom’s Pies house. 😋 But I feel you not liking the pie. In Mexico they have a cake called Pastel de tres leches. It’s like the pie in Mexico. I should like it, but I don’t! All my family thinks I’m weird because I don’t like it. Explain to me how you managed to get one before those of us who ordered them and have been waiting 13 weeks for it to show up. Yeah I am upset again, just like I have been when I saw a rider who ordered 12 days after I did got his on May 20th in Sydney Australia he ordered the same Spirit Blue DH Premium that I did.

Disappointed. You didn't really review the bike.. spoke more about the California weather and scenery than anything else. All I got was adjustable shock and you didn't like the frame of the tour pack! What about the torque/pickup as you rushed to catch up with the group.. it was a great oppty to chat about that strong 108 engine vs Harley's 114 or even the 117.. also braking, leaning, etc.. this bike has more ground clearance and better brakes than Harley Road Glide/Street Glide. Engine is also liquid cooled which helps in hotter weather. You left pretty much everything great about that bike out..

I brought a new Indian Chieftain Limited. And it was the worse bike I’ve ever owned. I was stranded in a state where I was unfamiliar on a brand new bike. I couldn’t find a Indian dealer no where nearby. I had to pay to get my bike back to the state I brought it and to the dealer. Two different Indian dealers told me that the bike couldn’t be fixed due to a software issue. I called customer support and they told me that Indian/Polaris had to build a new software to fix my bike. And they expected me to keep the bike. People beware of this brand. Customer service is terrible and when you break down, you’re on your own. Also, the bike was still under warranty. It only had 2,000 miles when it broke down. 💯💯💯👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿🎯🎯🎯
