Just a couple of years ago luxury Mercedes, BMW suvs cost 50k, now pretty much any car brand sells cars for that money. That is just crazy.

Everything has gone up. I was looking at Mercedes GLE but to get same options as my Sorento top spec I needed the V8 S63!! Over £100k. Adds some real world context doesn’t it!

I'm literally getting better economy out of a 3 tonne van. I'm not convinced that hybrids save any fuel at all unless you're just using them as a plug in EV.

Yes I totally agree, the whole fashion for low profile tyres has been silly, giving harsh unforgiving rides and damaged wheels. The vast majority of people are not racing drivers, we don't need them. And don't start me on touchscreens, just no, get rid of them. 😂

I'd argue that the servicing costs would be cheaper for the Kia, but with how much bloat they cram into so called economy cars nowadays you probably won't be saving much in the long run

That looks fantastic! I now really, really want one. I'm a big fan of Kia & Hyundai - great, reliable, comfortable, enjoyable cars that are made to a very high standard. The styling is superb and when I'm back to needing a fleet car, that'll be right at the top of my list. The only drawback is only being available in automatic.

Just another indistinguishable lump of hatcback metal of which has non distinguished features of all competitors venhicle on the market. What has happened to easily racognised true branded identification of car manufacturer's. Modern cars design bore the the life out of what car idenity and design used to be but now is totally lacking.

I have a Kia Sportage PHEV as a company car, and it is really good. My "better" cars haven't moved for ages because it is such a chilled drive with all the tech and the fact that I can do my usual pootling around in EV mode. I would recommend giving a Kia a go before you judge it for being uninspiring.

Ive just bought myself a kia e niro and im really impressed with the build quality and seats. Kia have really upped their game. This looks quite nice, not at 55k but in 3 years at 18k...

If you buy for long term ownership i can tell you that my Mk1 Kia Sorento at 10 years old was far rustier than my current Octavia is at 10 years old. I did however have a 300 mile run in the previous to this model Sorento a few weeks back and it was very comfortable and surprisingly refined.

I understand you need to push the boundaries a bit, but it's not what I came to see so bailed after a few mins. The Mike Brewer chat was initially a bit jarring but I warmed to it, so I'm not totally averse to change 😉. I was enjoying your property stuff, so perhaps real risk renovation of cars and houses and??? is your sweet spot?

I was going to say, I got a PHEV with about the same EV only range. But I also got a wall box and the way I use it, after about 8500 miles in am getting 75mpg average and the trend is only getting better the longer I own it. For reference it is a Mazda CX60 with 2.5ltr inline four.

My friend has an 18 month old hybrid lawn ornament (sportage) has sat gathering dust since April - kia not interested cars dash board resembled a christmas tree and the car wouldnt turn off or lock hybrid battery finally died. Shocking aftercare and customer service from KIA.

I'm always afraid of things like coins snagging an electrically adjustable seat . You'll never know there is a problem until the motor is burnt out or the drive mechanism wrecked. With manual adjust one will know there is something stopping free movement

The logo is nice, but I can't emphasise how much I hate that car, and all who sail in it. Who needs to take up that much public space? And why are they always bought by people who live in urban areas, don't need seven seats, and whose abilities would be more suited to something a metre shorter?

Love the way you have added some variety to the channel. The Mike Brewer video the other day Kia reviews now and again. But you are a bit chained to Car vertical, aren't you? It's not criticism, more an observation. Fifty grand for a not fully spected Kia. You might consider one but you wouldn't buy one. That poor 1.6 engine is pulling what must be at least a 1.5 ton car! Mutton dressed very badly like lamb! 🚗💨

I used to have an LPG car, and although it always started on petrol, the injectors required frequent cleaning by using an additive, and eventually ultrasonic cleaning. This was due to lack of use casuing a buid up of laquer. I am almost certain hybrids have the same issue if used as yiou described, mainy on electricity whilst commuting.

Not sure about RR, but i definitely could see an Audi Q7 in there. I felt the wheels were a bit small for the size of the car and it would have looked a whole lot better with bigger wheels and a thinner profile tyre. Overall though it's a lovely looking car. Kia are doing a cracking job at the moment.

I have a tesla model 3. I dont suffer range concerns. However, my next car wont be a Tesla and wont be EV. Cause if you have an EV you need to charge it and other EVs in ireland suffer from slow, expensive and sparce charging. PHEV for me come March. Currently thinking the RAV4 or waiting to see the new RAV4. It will be full electric for my in and out of town trips and local runs. It will be built much better than any Tesla. I'll be able to use Android Auto or the incar system. I'll have comfortable seats and a lot less rattles and matching paint!

I like the utility of a big car, and being an old man the value proposition wins out over anything else, that is i dont love it, or even like it that much, but these days I ride the bus and my bike where I can and for fun the car is just a tool for moving ones connected humans, stuff to the allotment and waste to the tip (recycling centre) when nowt else will do the Job. This would be fine, but a bit dull
