This is the least amount of pressure CP3 has had to be a team leader. This is the first time in his career he can just play. He’ll help with the development of young talent while still getting his.
I also liked how Garuba and TJD looked last night as well. They showed a huge amount of defensive potential which is exactly why we signed them. I got a good feeling about this squad. Everyone looks connected and willing to play defense which was the complete opposite last season.
This team is way better than all the haters realize. The reason is the system that they play. When the right pieces fall, it's a system of synergy that beats out any dominant duo or big 3 in the league cause all the players have a specific job/purpose. This year will be special
@@YoLo-mf3yv that's true. They were also playing the pistons but damn, lol, that first quarter, they scored 50 on 85% shooting. But you are right. And we will find out what's really up first game of the season. Warriors vs. Suns.
Ofc Kuminga and Moody delivered as expected but what I liked last night was How smooth Podziemsky operated , his ball handling, his passing, his ability to get to the basket. I also loved those Saric minutes
Is Podziemsky a point guard or shooting guard? If he has handles, maybe he’s more of a point guard than shooting guard who will eventually replace Klay once he retires.
@@leonardo_da_g9168I think he was officially drafted as a SG but I mean he’s a combo guard overall so they’ll be able to use him in various ways. What an opportunity tho to learn from two of the best modern PGs in their own right in Curry and Paul, and one of the best off ball SGs in the modern era in Klay.
This is going to be a fun season. It sucks that we couldn’t be 100% because of Dray’s ankle but as far as everything else I love what I’m seeing. JK and Moody are about to shine this season 😈
Better depth than we've seen since Iguodala and Livingston arrived years ago. Steph gonna Steph. But resting him might not be good news for opponents this time around.
Brandin Podziemski is an excellent addition. Dude is a good defender and rebounder as a guard, which is perfect for their small ball game plan. And he is lethal from three. So him, Curry, and Thompson all potentially shooting .40+ from three, with Chris Paul and Draymond Green assisting. Oh boy... this team is going to be good.
Draymond green is going to be more useless with Chris Paul on the floor. They can’t play cp3/curry/green at the same time in half court imo. Unless green improves his 3s he’s gonna be useless in these scenarios and itd be much better to have someone athletic that will cut or a big man that can shoot (saric would be good). Hopefully this team stays healthy. Will be interesting how they go against Denver, the true powerhouse team.
What about Milwaukee. Now that Portland traded Lillard to them. Look at the height they have plus Openings and Bobby Portis. They will be scoring 100 from their starters at least twice I bet.
A lot to like, but I think people are forgetting about GP II being back and healthy and the effect he has on defense and as a dunker. He made a huge difference season before last.
The third season is always supposed to be a breakout year for a young player like Moody and Kuminga. We shall see and it’s just one preseason game but I believe the sky is the limit for him this season.
Where are the CP3 Haters?🤦🤦🙆♀️🙆♀️🙆♀️🤷🤷 I belive in the Warriors Organization 💯💯💯. Myers , Poole left we are pushing through. It's call life. Let's go Warriors!!!✌️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Glad you mentioned Sarich. I've watched a lot of videos on this new look Warriors new team and no one seems to be mentioning Sarich's performance. The man is seamlessly fitting into the offense, throwing great passes, setting nice screens and the scoring looked nice too.
I can’t think of a reason why we didn’t sign Dwight for a vet minimum just to come in and be a defensive option , cuz that’s exactly what we’re missing, he seemed perfect
Sadly he's washed, slow, old and expensive for GSW to sign. That windows is 4-5yrs too late tbh, heck McGee returning would have been a better choice than Howard.
Love your sarcasm!!!! I don't think this indicates anything at the moment. The Suns shooting 85% in the first quarter at Detroit doesn't indicate anything. When the regular season starts, then we'll know.
@@Fighterfan69Oh for sure lol. I think the CP3 signing is a bit sus but it's always going to look best on the honeymoon. They could really have found something and CP3 finally foudn the team he can win a ring on. I'm nto going to be shocked if they do well but I do think the dubs had bigger problems than things CP3 can fix.
I’m so hyped to see the new warriors secondary unit and bench in action again. Kuminga and Sargic is such a perfect pairing. Kuminga can play center and sargic power forward or they switch. Sargic can shoot and defend the center while Kuminga defends the power forward and roams around to block anyone going to the rim he can do the same thing jarren Jackson does. And on offense sargic spaces the floor and takes the center out off the paint that way Kuminga can abuse the paint and dunk on anyone. This sounds good but with a back court off gp2 who spaces the floor with elite defense and podzemski who is a stable backup point guard who is a good defender and spaces the floor too. Add in moody who can create his own shot space the floor and defend this way there are five shooters in a lineup who can all defend. Add Cris Paul and this second unit is better than some nba first units. Also now we got a backup looney in trace Jackson Davis and a backup draymond in Garuba and some veteran and young players to fill in when someone gets injured. This team is so deep out off nowhere I didn’t expect this. I thought that when they traded pool the team lost dept.
you highlighted on it at the end of the video but man im salivating at what those 20-25 minutes with saric on the floor are going to be like this season.
I said it before and ill say it again. If the warriors can limit turnovers they are scary. Cp3 was exsctly what they need in the second team and that non starter curry line up
I thought that also(CP3 running the second unit), but I think it's more important to keep CP3 happy and functioning well. He will decide when(he seems the type that won't be able to stand for bad play when he sees it.).
I like what I'm seeing so far. I thought at least one more long athletic player may help complete the roster. But perhaps the Warriors management sees a vision most of us don't with CP3 in that lineup. I can somewhat now understand why Dwight Howard was not signed. He's a great player, but he may have slowed down the motion of the team chemistry despite being well liked by the team during his brief tryout.
Defense will be the warriors biggest problem. I'm not worried about them on offense...CP3 can't guard anyone... I JK and the rest of the bench can keep this up we got a chance!!
I’ve been highly critical of how the warriors have handled their business throughout last year, how they handled Jordan Poole, and even a bit of the off-season. But it’s nice to see all of the clicking have it here in the preseason game.
CP3 was silky smooth and seamless with the Warriors! I think this is the easiest team he ever played with considering his skill set and strong points actually matches with the Warriors system
i'm not knowledgeable enough about basketball to understand the veracity of analysing 1 pre-season game, but i'm a GSW fan so it was still good to watch XD
Man the warriors right now are a complete package. They have midrange, pick and roll, pick and pop, everybody can iso and shoot this team by far is the best right now.
Not sure this level of hype is deserved after a preseason game, but CP3’s brain is his biggest weapon. He just has to stay healthy which is a lot to ask
Great job from the front office, Kerr's gonna be like a kid in a candy store with all the possible lineups since there's so many very capable players. But it's good that he gets to practice for the real candy store visit next summer in Paris.
Not really they’ve been Denver in the playoffs plenty of times if we can get jokic to have a bad series then we automatically winning it without a doubt and Denver never played against a team that has experience like the warriors this is really gonna test them I got warriors winning against nuggets in 6
There’s no need for that. We just need to make sure Murray doesn’t get going. Jokic tends to get passive in the 2nd half of games. Murray is the guy we have to keep an eye on
What gave GS success is that 4 or sometimes 5 players on the floor can play point at anytime even for a short time, while Steph can run around and get open. Now with CP3 as a true PG, I don't know if that would make ball movement stagnant. I'm still putting Denver and Phoenix over them.
Honestly I didnt think Kerr tasking Klay to start guarding the 4 was a good idea. But he stood his ground pretty well hustling for rebounds and poking the ball away from them.
Cp3 is a all time passer and playmaker, and he has a mid-range bag....and now he has the greatest shooter who has ever lived on the court with him thier spacing is going to be nuts and then they got the young guys bringing energy......all in all Warriors are not done yet
Curry, Thompson, Wiggins, green, looney as the starters & Paul, kuminga, moody, gay, saric for the 2nd team healthy all year with their rotation players would be deadly
I'm a hardcore Dubs fan but I'm nowhere as optimistic as you. We still need major size and I'm not betting on the core to stay healthy enough to seriously contend.
and don't sleep on Usman Garuba, who can be a much needed defender in the mold of Draymond Green... he had a great showing in his first game despite only 6 min
That’s why they traded Poole instead of Kuminga. People keep forgetting he was projected to go number #1 & fell. I hear a lot say he’s a bust & turns the ball over a lot. In the regular season he gets 18-20 min but when it reaches playoff time he barely gets used & that number drops by 10. He’s only 21 years old give him some time!
