Very good breakdown on buddy. He has a game like Klay. I didn’t know he could pass like that (Buddy that is). I think he will thrive in the Dubs system. He should get some really good looks, especially when he is on the floor with Steph and Waters.
Good players wasn't our big problem, but the new small ball strategy where we have just one way of play: move the ball fast over 3pt line until open a good slot to play. Result: teams had no problem to understand what we were doing, start to defend our ball moving and the result of new small ball strategy was: move the ball fast over 3pt line until a turnover or a contested shot with no one to grab offensive rebound. Markkanem will solve this problem? No way! Only Kerr can do it, bring back our pick and roll as strategy to balance the small ball, giving to defenders the option to double on Curry and let one of our players, like Hield to do one uncontested shot, or TJD to pick and roll and attack the basket free. The same old problem they had in 2014-2015-2016: if we keep an eye on pick and roll, Curry will fire us from any place of the court with single guard. If we double up over Curry, they will have 4 good players against our 3 left one to create an uncontested shoot or pick and roll. And we can do this with our actual roster, even if we move Wiggins out to lower luxury taxes.
I’m trading Kuminga for Lauri Markkanen, I love Kuminga but Lauri is more refined, Kuminga still has a lot to learn but he will absolutely become a superstar. Think about it, If both players were not in our team and we had to bring one of them in, who would you choose? Are you choosing the athletic 7 footer who shoots well and has more experienced, or are you choosing a 6’7 player with potential but is still in his raw phase? I think we’re just attached to Kuminga because he’s homegrown but Lauri is our best bet if we want to give Steph a championship ASAP.
if the warriors can get markennen without giving up kuminga podz or tjd, they damn well are a title contender markennen is doing so well without a true pg in utah imagine him on the warriors with the best pg of all time, one of the best point forwards of all time and good spacing
