I had a hard time doing this with video games for a bit. I'd show people Rivals of Aether and no matter how little I tried I would just dust them, even if they were pretty experienced in platform fighters. I deigned to just make other people play while I watched. Even being a little good at games like that is too much, cuz I know I'd go 0-2 in any tourney.

doesn't apply when the market is this concentrated. All the S&P gains came from a very few hyper concentrated megacap tech stocks that you are now dependent on. You are less diversified than the "500" implies. If you were able to get ~25% and DIDNT put all your eggs in that basket (maybe you diversified into mix of gold / emerging markets / blue chips / energy / tech, etc) then it could be quite preferable to feel more covered on downside risk for a few less % of gain.

He never said it's crazy to get it one year, just that it's crazy to AVERAGE it. People made 10000% with Bitcoin, that doesn't make it a good investment.

That's _heavily_ skewing the data. I mean, that time frame includes the bounce back of several recessions and several US war economies. You cannot compare only numbers, data needs to have context to give any real meaning.

@@lVideoWatcherl it’s not heavily skewed , that’s just the reality of the market. It’s a cycle of recessions and recoveries. yeah the market actually never averages 10%. It’s always red or flat year then like 20-30% then red rhen 15%.. etc. that’s why it’s not impressive to get 25% gains in a bull year where the market did 34% lol you can throw the dart on most tech stocks and it would be green. 25% would be impressive in a flat or red year for the market though, like 2022
