i havent touched the mindspike build(s) and probably wont touch them. im super happy that we have a competetive dot/rot spec with nzoth+cthun with either deathspeaker against melees or mental decay for casters. i dont see myself dropping shadowcrash. tsg is going to rise, demo is going to stay, bm is still strong. even if not facing pet cleaves, having the instant dots on 2/3 targets instantly is so much value IMO. mindtrauma is just not worth it, it feels like a bait. 9 stacks to full is insane, not really worth it - as u said, u are probably dropping dots left and right trying to achieve 9 stacks of mindtrauma. as mentioned above, nzoth+cthun for the occasional turrent for either full insanity and pressure with dps or kill potential when enemies are ccd. thanks for your content, as always
True that’s why I started running bulwark + sporecloak to compensate for the nerfs. I think mercy still has value but it’s going to get reworked again apparently next patch. Could take crystalline reflection instead as well to get to bulwark if you don’t want the dp talents
Hey Stahp, this is what I'm seeing from Appartions and Envyion on the ladder right now - Do you think this is the new "basic cut/pase" shadow priest build? The major differences are going Mind Melt for the mindblast crits, and ancient madness (although that seems more like a filler point). Holy shit 130k mind blast lol idk I haven’t hit that hard. Apparitions and envyion are the same person he’s rly good and high rated so I’m sure this build is good too. Might also depend on ur comp. Imo ancient madness is trash. I’ll try the build and let u know how it goes
@@StahpSP full transparency most mind lasts were hitting between 60k-80k but yeah testing it out I had a few that chimped out with the instant + guaranteed crit! Definitely is a greedy build that requires lots of casting too
I've been messing around with this build lately in solos, death speaker does decent damage, hits around 40k noncrits / has the interaction with inescapable torment. playing around 2k-2100 ish with it. it just feels like higher value given that solo matches last like 1 or 2 minutes and id say im getting a proc with death speaker every 15 seconds or so. The only reason why I like void form is the instant casts. Try to spam void bolt and dp to stay in void form. I’ll get back to the lab and see if I can find a better build
Tbh all talents feel pretty garbage and SP is definitely far from meta right now. Single target is a complete joke compared to any other spec in the game. I would be shocked if any team is even considering playing SP in tournaments. Psychic Link nerfed from 40% to 15%. SP does joke damage even in m+ now, just because of double Power Infusion everyone was bringing in sps. Giving others power infusion needs to be removed from the game so they don't have to fuck us every time because of it.
