Sakura meant that she was at the level of naruto and sasuke, not in the sense of power, but in the sense of fighting to protect and equal them (at that moment).

She, Sakura, has finally caught up with them. As in she has reached her full potential. Sasuke and Naruto are literal reincarnation of the Sage of Six Paths sons. They will always be more powerful than her, but she is on par with them in personal full power. That's the only way it makes sense.
@@tannerdorsett9288 (this is a bit of a long rant but fuck it) i'll never forgive kishimoto for doing her dirty like this. he could've at least expanded sakura's jutsu and skill repertoire, like using earth and water jutsu (which are canonically her main chakra natures) instead of only iryo-ninjutsu and chakra-enhanced taijutsu. they also mentioned that sakura was considered a "genjutsu type" at the academy and yet they've never explored it ???? kishimoto could've made her learn some things from kurenai or something i've also seen headcanons of her being able to use the mokuton, since it's a mix of water and earth and i found it really interesting. if she had somehow "figured out" how to perfectly recreate the mokuton, given her above-average chakra control, i think it'd be awesome and it'd make her at least on par with naruto and sasuke, even as a civilian-born kunoichi, all with hard work and tsunade's tutelage. (btw, to me it doesn't really make sense that mokuton is considered a kekkei genkai, since only asura, hashirama and yamato have been able to use it so far... it seems more like an extremely specific skill, if it were a bloodline limit more people would've been born with it along the years) i just wish he had actually given her character development instead of the usual "women can only be medics" trope mixed with the "look at the violent woman she has a temper haha" anime trope. he had a lot of opportunities to make her stronger, but instead he focused on the main male characters smh
Are you guys really stupid? Sakura meant that she's strong enough to handle herself (against the enemy), which means she doesn't need to be protected like before, because she blossomed and became incredibly strong.
For anyone still discrediting Sakura, first you must stop comparing her to her teammates. Those two are the Hero and Lancer archetypes of the series, the two absolute main characters in a Shonen anime, they will be the most overpowered, even stacking up to Hashirama and Madara respectively. They look down upon everyone, Sakura isn't the only one in their shadow. Now take Sakura's feats at an unbiased level. She can summon like 80% of Lady Katsuyu with her Hundred Healings Seal, which also auto-regenerates herself. Using her Summons she can let a full fledged army of all 5 villages tank the battle, then heal them all to go back in 2 or 3 more times over. Her raw strength is even stated to be pretty much equal to Tsunade's by Hashirama himself. Not to mention she has grown over her fears of being abandoned and hurt, while also losing her mental reliance on her teammates. She depends on them in this fight, but it doesn't mean she's emotionally depended on them. She can now face the same threats as them, with no fear, not meaning she's their power level, but saying she's now their pier. Imagine a bunch of other people facing Sakura right here. Her strength and auto-healing make her a fucking bulldozer against a lot of opponents in the series. She's become wayyy smarter than she was, actually being a full tactitian during combat to make up for any weaknesses or confusion she might have with opponent's. And btw Lady Katsuyu is no fucking joke. She's massive af, can heal Sakura when she doesn't want to use 100 Healings, and also has an acid attack that can disintegrate small mountains. She could solo a huge number of people with her Summons alone. Mixed with everything else, she demands respect. She grew powerful in her own ways, ways that she was good at, pushed herself, and became the best in the Fields she studied. You all can now at least give the meme of her being useless a break. She has caught up to them as a teammate, all of the Shinobi Alliance and all of the Living and Revived Hokage have acknowledged her growth and respect her

When Sakura said she finally caught up with Naruto and Sasuke, she wasn't wrong. In that moment, the three of them were in the maximum level of the Shinobi world: Sannin/Kage level. Tsunade, Jiraiya and Orochimaru are all in this level, but that doesn't mean the three of them being equally strong, but they are in the same category. She is finally able to take care of herself, the byakugou makes her pretty much immortal, Katsuyu can help her healing thousands of people at the same time, and she doesn't need to be focusing on the seal in her forehead anymore.

Nobody saved her on the war, she was the one who saved everybody with Katsuyu. And against Shin in Boruto she didn't even went towards him with full force. With only her taijustu she was able to keep up with his inumerous sharingans
Sakura said caught up to and she meant it. In English caught up to means to reach the same standard or level and in Japanese, oitsuku which is the verb Sakura used means to reach the same level as one who had superior skills prior/to line up with one who was ahead i.e. to CATCH UP. The databooks repeat it and they are paralleled to the sannin and called a new DEADLOCK here and in the manga which literally means EQUAL forces. The weird coping to discredit Sakura here is hilarious. When Sakura got her seal she reached the same skill/power level as Naruto and Sasuke and was beyond the sannin. That's why Sasuke teased Naruto about holding him and Sakura back.

Sakura didn't really needed to be saved in that scene I think it was supposed to showcase that no matter what naruto and sasuke will always have her back and highlight them as a team since it was kinda the whole theme of the episode of team 7 being together again and besides what do you think that one juubi clone was going to do to sakura especially since at that point she has surpassed tsunade I'll tell you *juubi hits her sakura barely reacts to the attack and she proceeds to punch a gaping hole through its chest* the end

The mangaka should have showed her off when she fully released the byakugou like make her just as strong as naruto kyubi clocke (before becoming a demi god lmao) or sasuke's susano. we know Tsunade is strong enough to break madara's susaso and it was said that sakura is stronger than her so that was really the moment to make her shine. And it would make more sense since that power is all her own AND it's not an eternal thing, she can have that power all the time bc she runs out of power and need to re charge it again.
To me in the moment that sakura said she caught up with sasuke and Naruto I thought damn kishimoto and to the translators that made the dialogue of Sakura at that moment I really wished you changed it to something closer to: Sakura: Lady Tsunade...It looks like I can now fight beside these two now. Because Sakura always wanted to fight beside Naruto and Sasuke and she actually did And what Ino said abt Sakura in the war that she held her ground while fighting beside Naruto and Sasuke was true and because of that "she caught up to them" thing that she said the fandom just laughed. Ngl, I was upset when I saw this for the first time. Like, how much Kishimoto made team 7 OP as hell while the other teams were like people who Just graduated from academy.
Well that's kishimotos biggest weakness as a writer. He had too many characters and not enough time to focus on each one. So like 90% of the cast is underdeveloped and might as well not exist. That's the problem when you have so many characters. Oda who writes one piece is what happens when you know how to write for hundreds of characters and you dont neglect half of the people you created
idk why, sakura is a great candidate for hokage and its even said in the boruto novel that if something were to happen to naruto sakura would be fully capable of taking his place
@@firstname5132 because they only thought that being hokage means just being the most powerful and nothing else when in fact you also needed a great mind for paperworks, bureaucracy, politics and know how to work under pressure. After the war arc, I could actually see Sakura as the 7th one after Kakashi because she had the ethics for it as she was one of the person helping to write paperwork when tsunade was still in office. I think Tsunade also taught her one or two about politics.

While the endless filler definitely killed the vibe in some parts I will say the long wait in the original naruto coming out til this part was crazy with how long we waited to get here.
Gaijins are really weird. Simple strength is not the only good thing about a character. For example, Sakura is the best when it comes to healing. Why don't you talk about the weakness of the other two's healing skills? Characters aren't just about their strength. If we consider strength, healing, and other skills, Sakura is in the top class because she can fight and heal. This can be said for all anime works, but strength is not the only status. Kindness and uniqueness are also part of a character's charm. For some reason, foreigners only talk about characters based on their strength. For example, characters like Sakura are not just attractive because of their strength. I often see Gaijin complaining that certain characters are not strong. Each character has their own role to play, and Sakura is one of the most important characters in the series.
Tbh sakura is much more impressive than sasuke and naruto bc she literally born on a normal family and her dream is to become a medical ninja, unlike naruto, sasuke, ino, shikamaru, neji, Hinata or any other character bc theyre already from a powerful clan who got their own special ninjutsu while sakura works her own ass to become that powerful

So I just started watching Naruto during approximately a year ago and just got to finish it now. Sakura - hmmm she literally had nothing. She was annoying if we are being honest but there were huge changes and that's what we call character development. Naruto and Sasuke had power boosts right from the start so it's not good to compare her to them. Her being able to be a great medic ninja is fitting. A perfect support for these 2 reckless boys Lmao
