There is an Icon on each army division where you can tell them what level of supply infrastructure they should use. Alot easier than changing every single node to trucks.

The reason that the Germans didn't declare war on you is because their AI works in a way so it would declare the war on the Poland (tag POL). But your country tag is LIT. Same thing happeneds if you restore Austria-Hungary as Hungary. As the tag AUS doesnt exist, the focus would just bypass.

Cool supply tips: 1) Use transport planes, they’re broken. 40 planes can supply an entire army group which is hilarious. 2) Under the army tab (I think) you can set supply to motorized focus which automatically sets you railways to motorized that way you don’t have to update each individual supply hub. 3) You can upgrade an entire rail system from the hub closest to the front line. Hope these tips help!

I have noticed when experimenting with the Soviet Union that the AI will now consistently dday successfully if the soviets are projected to win. Even with a half buffed Germany and no matter the date, if the Soviet Union starts making considerable gains the AI has become very good at recognizing that they need a dedicated dday. I have yet to be be able to conquer the Benelux or France on my way through Germany, which absolutely was a thing in the past. Also super fun to watch every German tank starve as you death stack supply hubs and railways, a lot more refreshing then Germany being over powered and having optimal supply all the way to the Urals because German AI over powered for a while now. If anything I think they need to revisit how the AI handles railways, in the case of the Germans, they seem to cobweb very hard from Berlin out. Which would be ‘fine’ if their construction queue wasn’t full to the brim railways that aren’t even half way through Poland with no supply in Ukraine.

I'm really enjoying the DLC. The only small frustrations are entirely my fault, since I'm playing as Royalist Russia right now and you basically have zero high command. Some of the Soviet generals defect of course, but the good ones (who didn't get Purged) don't.

This is one of my favorite dlcs to date. The supply system is extremely fun and strategic, the tank system adds so much depth and allows even small nations to build cheap tanks. The high command is super tactical too. Plus i gotta say the ai is so much better, with supply and ive seen all majors building tanks. 10/10

what's also really cool is if you're using tanks and want to swarm into an opening you should do it along the railway because the railways negate movement penalties for vehicles from terrane so what I did is I'd have the tanks break open a hole in the line an blitz along the rail line to the supply hubs and cities to screw over the supply for the AI.

I agree with ISP on this update. Played a French game recently (one of my favorite nations to play) and it was tons of fun. Trying out new strats and trying to game the supply system is so much more fun than making 40w tanks and clicking the arrow button

That focus tree for Lithuania was legit the most fun I've had in Hoi4. The greater Commonwealth is insanely strong only rivaled by perhaps Turan but the industry you steal from Germany and USSR is amazing.

Fun fact, if you go fascist while Lithuania, and don't have the dlc, you'll winde up with the new focus tree

The only game I've done with No Step Back was a Lithuania game with my brother. We died in 1940 because Britain guaranteed us.

The reason Danzig or war got bypassed is because you started as Lithuania, and Annexed Poland to become the Commonweatlh. In the code, your tag is still Lithuania, and Poland's tag is set to whatever "dead" is, and Danzig or war gets bypassed if Poland doesn't exist (AKA, their tag is set to whatever "dead" is). Edit to be precise: The following will bypass the focus: One of the following must be true: Is at War with Poland Is in Faction with Poland Danzig (85): Controller and Owner is not Poland

As lithuanian, as soon as i saw the shape of the country i instantly clicked because i know my shapes.

You can motorize your armies on the army selection screen - picking the field marshal and doing it there applies it to all armies currently under their command (and you'll have to do it again for any new armies added) and they'll only motorize the hubs they need.

The one issue I have with the DLC. Is how slow it is to get your first doctrine research. Especially if you are playing a nation like Russia. Where your goal is mainly the army. You might struggle to invest in navy.

Danzig or war only works for the Poland tag, but since you annexed Poland and still have the Lithuania tag the focus gets bypassed and German goes straight to around the maginot

As a lithuanian, i was rolling in laughter because of how you pronounced the words and how you imagined the language also the "angry lithuanian" at 2:03 said "pasiruošes, tamsta!" translated it roughly means "ready sir!". The iron wolf brigade reffers to the dream our i think King had about an iron wolf howling at the loudness of a 1000 or 100 (idk i learned abt this like 5yrs ago i can't remember everything) wolfs and then he built the city Vilnius there it's now lithuania's capital city.

Id like a mini-DLC which addresses Italy, Switzerland, Austria, and South America. It's like, the meme dlc. I also wish each Chinese warlord got its own individual focus tree, since they are all unique in their own right. Maybe even just some extra flavor for each so they aren't all the same.

Tip: Instead of manually changing the motorization of your hubs, you can change it in the army popup when you select a general or field marshal (as a small button in the top right of the window) which automatically changes the motorization of the hub as the armies pass through

Infrastructure does NOT assist in supply anymore, only rails. Also, if you don't want to manually update supply hubs, each army has a little button that sets what level of supply it's set to - horses, trucks, double trucks.

here's an even cooler tip that's prolly been said to you many times by now, you can change the motorization on your armies so they automatically motorize nearby supply hubs and they demotorize when youre army isn't nearby to save on trucks.

I like the supply system for sure, and most people complaining about it just seem unable to read or something, my main issue with this new DLC is the tank designer blows massive dong and they all get rekt by the newly buffed CAS (which totally needed a buff right lmao)

I love how a simple war with the Russians and a clicking simulator focus lets you basically triple your land.

Hey guys, if you don't want to manually change every supply hub to motorized, you can actually set your generals and field marshals to do it for you. Just click on the general/field marshal and click on the little horse near the top of his menu.

ISP you can click the motorization on the general or field marshal to automatically change the hubs to trucks as the army moves through. It's the horse icon

with the supply chains this makes hoi4 pretty good for any period from 1850-present

Just a tip on the motorization of your network. If you select your field marshal and look at the top right of them there is a tab to auto change your supply style so anywhere your troops go they will automatically use trucks if you change it to trucks. It makes it easy and you don't need to use trucks behind the lines where your troops aren't so it saves trucks and uses them only where your army is.

This actually really helped me learn the new features

7:52 Because Danzig or War gets bypassed if Poland doesn't control Danzig - which it doesn't because you aren't Poland, even though you are the PLC. You are Lithuania. So EVERYTHING that requires Poland to exist or do something does not work anymore.
