So it has finally arrived! The new Kubota l4060le has made the journey to its new home. (although it will have to go back to the shop for the front end loader) Riley and I do a walk around and talk about what we like and see how it handles the fdr1672 finish mower.
A little about us, we are a small christmas tree farm located in western Ky. We planted our first tree in the spring of 2018 and have been learning ever since. Come along with us as we continue to grow!

Nice tractor. So far I have had good luck with kubota since 1994. I also like the brakes on the left. It is a plus when you need to brake steer

You have to do some fancy foot work on the l2501 for sure. The left side brakes makes it much easier.

Very nice tractor and a really nice job on the video. I bought a L3301 last fall and I'm liking it a lot. The particulate filters really help keep the engine noise down. Noise reduction was one of the reasons I went with the L3301 instead of the L2501. Hopefully they don't turn into a maintenance issue down the road. Thanks for the video.

Thank you, I am working on getting better at the videos but still have a way to go. I was honestly surprised the first time I heard one run at the dealers.

@@therichisonstreefarm6085 I tested out both a 2501 and a 3301 and was surprised as well with the difference in the noise levels. It's something that doesn't get brought up very much.

I'm very pleased with the new tractor. I couldn't believe how much louder the 2501 was. That doesn't make it a bad tractor by any means but sometimes it's those small things that make a difference.

New subscriber here. I know the feeling about the caps. I once bought a Kubota stocking cap and a steering wheel spinner and the dealer threw in a L2501 tractor with the f.e.l. and box blade. Good job on the review.

Yes sir, I've recently purchased an L4060 as well. Used it first time to bushhog yesterday and hit that pto switch about 3 times with my elbow. I'm like you and really not a fan of where it is. However, I love the tractor.

The tractor is awesome for sure. They could've put it in an area like the dash. I have to make a conscious effort to not hit it and still do just not as often.

If you run a stationary PTO implement, get the flip-up seat safety switch when you order the cruise switch. What loader are you getting, my 3560LE came with the LA805.

I have thought about that and probably will but as of right now I don't have any stationary implements. I have plans for a generator but that's probably next year. It will be the la805 as well. That was one of the reasons for this model over the l4701.

I have an L3901 with the fuel filler in the middle… but I have 500gallon tanks on 8’ stands so the location is fine with me. But I imagine if I was using jerry cans to fill it I would be annoyed by it.

Nice tractor. I like the improvements. Nice sound. One suggestion. You should wear your seat belt when you have your ROPS up. ROPS down, the dealership said no seat belt. Problem of not wearing the seat belt with the ROPS up is in a roll over you get thrown out of the seat and the ROPS pins ya. Check your manual and see what it says. Only reason I mention it is the owner of the business I got it from made a special point of going over the ROPS with me and he emphasized this. The L4060 is really substantially less noisy L3800 three cylinder diesel. When I blow snow with the RPM set to deliver 540 RPM at the PTO I use a gallon per hour. Mine is a 2013 model and it doesn't have the DEP addition to clean the exhaust. That was required on the 2014 models and since. I really like the pivot steering column. For short guys like me that is a bonus. I purchased my tractor in Feb, 2014, a 2013 model and really like how it handles everything. I also got a set of forks for it. They are really handy. I have a crate with a 4' x 6' piece of 3/4" plywood attached to the crate top. I use this as a portable work bench whenever I have work to do outside. One stopped up and easy clean up after the job is done. When the tractor is shut down the hydraulic pressure has a tendency to slowly drain off so I carry a 36" leg I can slip under the forks to hold the front up. That alone has saved me countless hours of extra work running around and looking for my tools. Ya. I am very pleased with my my new later model tractor, the L3800.
