Watching the Broncos make me want to cry and I'm not even a Broncos fan. I just want the refs to end the game and our collective misery.

as a seahawk fan i look forward to two games, the seattle game, and the denver game. i'm not anti-broncos. but russ made subtle disses towards the seattle fanbase and broncos fans have been shitting on seattle for making the russ trade. so i'm not gonna lie, i do enjoy seeing russ struggle. at least for this year so we can get that early draft pick then idc if he goes and has 3 mvp seasons

On most punt returns you can see the kicking team pushing the blockers into the returner to cause a muffed punt. Its a common tactic but it doesnt work most of the time because the blockers usually are able to avoid there returner

It happened to Seattle in week 2 ,Tyler lockett had a blocker pushed into him causing the exact same outcome.

@@ernestogastelum9123 yeah, and looking at it even more, the blocker doesn’t even engage until after the fair catch is signaled, which looking at his angle, he should have been able to see. It’s a really bad play by the Broncos player there.

Either the blocker or returner fucked up. Possibly both. Honestly, in that scenario he should wave and yell his teammate off. And the teammate should know not to stand that close. Or engage in a block.

@@Cooz. It doesn't matter. The rule of the game is if a player of the same team touches the returner, then it is legal contact, if it happens to cause of muffed punt, then the ball is live. This has been the rule for decades, happened in that Seattle game this year.

This has been the story ever since Peyton Manning left. A lights out defense, an anemic offense, and a non impressive special teams. It’s been downright infuriating and now it’s escalated to straight up embarrassing. The level of incompetence displayed by the offense and special teams isn’t supposed to happen on an NFL caliber team. Yea you’ll always have that one team who loses more often than others but that’s because there are more dominant teams to compete with overall. But this…. This is like watching a high school football team go up against a College level team every week. That muffed punt perfectly sums up everything that’s been wrong with their execution. There’s no sense of urgency explosiveness, or finesse. I also agree with Perna that it does appear that there is a “red zone curse” as it literally seems like we cannot get in without a major fight. The opposing team could have a wide open lane and we’d still be unable to get an easy touchdown. And the ones we do get are always after a hard fought drive of like 30 passes or 30 run plays (each under 10 yards) with a lucky 3rd down conversion sprinkled throughout. And that’s on a good drive because we almost never convert 3rd and longs not to mention the easy 3rd and shorts most other teams can handle with their eyes closed! The level of incompetence is so infuriating to witness week in and week out. The more I watch this team the more I reminisce about how good we had it with Manning at the helm. It really is a testament to his leadership and call to perfection. You would never see even a third of the mistakes in an entire Manning lead game that you see in these current games in just a single quarter alone! I was excited to get Russel Wilson but…it‘s all for not. He got his big contract and now he’s checked out for the rest of the season. I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt but he literally appears to have folded in on himself and doesn’t seem to care what happens. There was a lot of pressure on him coming into Denver and it seems to be too much for him to handle at this point. Tbh that offense needs to be completely gutted and we’ve got to start over. The front office needs to do something quick because Denver isn’t going to be blessed with a championship caliber defense forever. We’ve been lucky to have those boys willing to fight every week even with this atrocious offense not doing anything to help them out. This is non sustainable and the offense needs to be dismantled and rebuilt.

Vikings had that problem for ages a few years ago. So fucking frustrating.

Definitely the Broncos...4th best QB in the West.
