as a day 1 zelda fan, i will continue to reiterate - there is nothing I care to do less with this series than to play as Zelda, and I am positive that all the people saying they want this will play it, finish it, and never ask for it again

I could definitely see Nintendo making a Hyrule Warriors game where TOTK Zelda is back in time with Rauru and Sonia, and Zelda is the main character. It seems the most realistic to me

Perhaps a Hyrule Warriors set where Calamity Ganon was first created so you can battle as Zelda, Rauru, Sonia and the original Champions.

I never played twilight or windwaker. So would be new to me either way.

I would love a Zelda-centric Zelda game. It seems like a good time for the franchise to stretch its legs a bit in the spirit of improving the series.

For the switch to I think they do 2 things... I think they offer a cheap upgrade ($10 to $20), or they repackage it as a nintendo select type of thing for $30 that includes the dlc and enhancements, etc and they do this for all their first party switch games. Many people will double dip / upgrade and this will fill in the gaps while while we wait for switch 2 new releases

if they are gonna make a game where zelda is the main character it should be set in the oot game because Zelda is also a Shiek warrior, and it would be more interesting to see what she's gone through in her time fleeing the castle and fighting as a warrior

I really hope to see The Legend of Zelda The Windwaker and Twilight Princess HD Ports finally comes to Nintendo Switch and about of the New Zelda Game Sitsuation with an Update i'm worried after of Botw and Totk 2 masterpieces, it's really hard to believe there is coming something huge for the Next New Mainline Zelda game, but I would love to see these like things about of the New Zelda game, not remasters or remakes: Cadense of Hyrule 2, The Legend of Zelda where you play as Zelda herself or the 3DS Gem Tri Force Heroes-like game for Nintendo Switch. Imagine Hyrule Warriors: Tears of the Kingdom. Where we also get to travel to the past with Zelda and therefor play as her. A battle I would love to play is the one in the cutscene where we see Ganon and the other Gerudo in the valley as they call on Moldugas. There's zero chance of Nintendo making a Zelda game that's akin to the mainline franchise. They're not that dumb. It will be something more linear and much smaller in scope.

I want Zelda II remastered with updated combat that is slightly easier than the Soulsborne games so it's still enjoyable. They could also remake the oracle games with extra content. If not, a sandbox 3d Zelda or brand new top down Zelda in a totally different world with new gameplay mechanics (please get rid of weapon durability!).

Surely there’ must be a Zelda that hasn’t been ported to the switch yet?

What I expect? Under the current leadership… A port that I don’t really need or a top down game with a cartoony graphic style that I don’t care for and some kind of control gimmick. What I want? Games like the Oracle games, link’s awakening, link to the past, ocarina of time, and Majora’s mask. As for playable Zelda? The only suggestion I’ve heard that is of any interest to me is the one where be playing as her disguised as sheik during link’s seven year slumber. It would either need to keep the original play style of ocarina time or go full blown stealth game. No hyrule warriors hack and slash or anything.

If Zelda came out for Switch i would be upset! Save it for the next gen console. I don’t mind waiting for a OoT or BOTW remaster for the new console and i would buy it. Nintendo already announced new hardware is coming so i can hold off until then and make the purchase then

NO 2D game that would be stupid that’s not saying I don’t like the 2D games cuz I love all Zelda games but I feel a full on 3D game is the way to go especially for a full game as Zelda for the first time but regardless I’d be happy with any game as Zelda. Also knowing Nintendo they will make us pay $70 for the BOTW switch 2 game I mean come on now it’s Nintendo who is still selling BOTW at $60 all these years later!
