Thanks for doing a version without the music. The original version was very difficult to follow because the music was so very distracting.

This sounds brilliant! I only deal with 'some endogamy', aka a small area in West Virginia for a few hundred years, , where I am related to most matches 4, 5, 6, 7 ways. I look forward to trying this out!!

same! My dad's side of the family all came from an endogamous area in northwestern Tennessee on the kentucky border. This may definitely help me figure out my matches a bit better.

Yay! As a Puerto Rican, I saw match auto clusters tools as useless. Sadly many of my closer relatives do not have their DNA autosomal results in Gedmatch.

My gut feeling is that the secret to sorting out (as far as that is possible) endogamous relationships is to take its very weakness, that of so very many matches between individuals, and utilise the power of statistics in the patterns of those many matches within small selected groups of people - perhaps as low as groups of three. So this would necessitate using segment lengths of matches down to a fairly low number, I have used down to 2cM for non-endogamous so perhaps 4cM may still be useful for endogamous matches. The shape of the curve between one-to-one matches within the group should provide an estimate of the proximity of each match, in say generations, that when pooled with other overlapping sub-groups can lead to the most likely sequence of relationships. I think something to this is done in paleogenetics to estimate dates of separation between species.
