Thousands of years in the future, archeologists will study the phenomenon of why the ancients chose to build a Unicorn Park, Statue of Life and Death, and a Meteor park in a straight line, and in perfect alignment with their government building. What did it signify? Did Unicorns exist? Did they come with the Meteor. Did it give us our current understanding of life and death? Unlocking the mystery could solve so many of the questions they have!? Meanwhile, 2,000 years ago: Egg, the Ancient Architect: "Well, if it fits, it sits". 🤣

The history of the three plazas. Said to have happened before even the first Orchid grew in the bay, an asteroid fell from space. Bizarrely it was the home of a Magic Space Unicorn who had been exploring the cosmos. When the asteroid crashed into Earth, the unicorn was injured. The unicorn was then helped by the friendly deer of the area to recover its health over many months. The alien unicorn, then wanted to help the deer in return. It witnessed how the deer was prey to the wolves and the cougars. It gave the deer the power of becoming predator rather than prey. The oppression of the wolf and big cats was over. It was now the era of the deer.

I love the way this town turned out! Love it built up in levels with the houses and such. Great combination of parks in the city center!! Will be sad when this one hit it's node limit! It's such a great build 🤩

Orchid Bay is the rarest series of egg because it's bluish instead of the grayish theme you usually go for. Makes the city very lively and bright.

With builds on the outskirts I like to use the pet ban and recycling policies. They both reduce garbage accumulation and if Karen and her friends don’t like it they can always speak to the (city) manager. One thing you’re missing in OB is biofuel busses. The new models they added are actually pretty nice.

Another great build OE! I wouldnt mind seeing some piers over the river and viewing decks over some areas of rhe housing for the residents to use. I had a spot that could be redone. It's your first industrial area early in the build by the transit center

Would like to see an out of town industrial estate where the recycling centre is, I feel that would not be too node intensive. And in another universe the Sparkly Unicorn Plaza would have made it into Few’s theme park

The OB Regional - Steel Hills/DeVille bus route should serve the golf course and the CUGA World Headquarters in both directions as well as have a a stop near the junction with the other road that’s coming down from the hillside at 16:31 (The one closest to DeVille)

Egg, with cities skylines 2 being a mess at the minute , can we expect a similar series like ILOS in tried and tested cities skylines 1 much like THESSIA? Also , a big fan of yours 🖤🖤🖤. Out of all your works ILOS is the best . Want to see another phenomenal desert build like ILOS. Love you mate..

If there is another new city its likely to be vanilla which is hard to do in desert theme. I would like to attempt another Mile Grid plans to do this on CS2 referencing Salt Lake City but this will be when/if CS2 finds its feet. Thessia still has a way to go too

CS1 is such a great game. It is one of my alltime favorites. That is why i also wonder how CO could CS2 srew up soo much. Unbelieveabe. I am still hoping they can turn the tide. But you should also give Manor Lords a try! It is a great game"!

Even when we're running out of nodes looking forward to redevelopments to expand the downtown and nearby areas outwards and upwards! Maybe the original starting town needs some density since it's the oldest area?

Man, I have to say at this point Orchid Bay has for me at least surpassed Verde Beach as thee must watch CS1 Vanilla Let's Play. The city is just incredible, and shows what one can do even without loads of mods or workshop assets.

Please, for the love of god add a path between the bus stop and the school! You can imagine that such an arrangement would have happend in real life. The bus comes 5min before class starts. But you need 10min to run around the block. You would constantly get in trouble, because you are late to class and sweating. And Teachers would patrol the tiny strip of grass and send anyone trying to cross it to detention. Any attempts from students to make this less horrible would be shut down by the school board with the words "Well, you just have to have better time management!" And they obviously would´t change the bus arrival time, because "the bus stop is just across the school, YOU need to have better time management!!"

You forgot to wrap the bushes completely around one of the open grass areas near the Oppression Office. Yes, I noticed. Cuz the lack of symmetry was driving me nuts. 😂

I forget the exact lore of the Hunting Grounds, maybe call the new park "HG 2 - The Deer/Cougar/Wolf Strikes Back"? Delete as applicable. Will be a shame when Orchid Bay is finally done with, if it ever truly will be. Could always sporadically redevelop it in future.

i... really do not like the plaza and park development. it feels simultaneously crowded and like its WAY too huge a big open space. i was expecting some buildings on the non-concrete areas. having the three different parks feels especially weird.

hey egg you can use financial districts to repurpose any distcrict as you have not used the ofiice style for it in any place of orchid bay except for the unique buildings in the downtow(stock exchange and the plazas). It is a really cool office distcrict speacialization and would look really cool in orchid bay. Also the brickland and quays area look way to low because of the new heights added in the fron portion of downtown. This could be an excuse to use the financial district with som greencities to redevelop that area. This also gives you an escuse to use the international trade center from the pack. 🖤🤍🥚🥚🍳
