Mark, through my school days sir, the show was genuinally my cure at the time for depression, I thank you so much for it, being a part of it and making me cry with laughter like a drone every week. I do so hope if you know of anymore episodes you can somehow upload them.
I saw Roy Hudd back in the 60s in a variety show in Manchester, then again, in a farce in the 90s.,where I were lucky enough to meet him..a great comedian, steeped in old style comedy..this series was brill, Saturday lunchtime always looked forward to listening to it, I am sure I have a few off-air recordings too,no political correctness back then...I also saw Chris Emmet in a show in the West End..I think it may have been Sugar Babes a Burlesque, at the Savoy Theatre.where he was perfectly cast..he outshone the star, Mickey Rooney with his delivery of wit. I also saw June Whitfield playing in a special concert at the Royal Festival Hall (along with many other tv celebrities)..Avery witty, clever programme..June Whitfield`s character voices superb.. and Bobby and Maxwell quick-fire sketch brill..
I used to love it.it was topical and extremely funny.i used to have amstrad radio cassette player in the 70s and could set it up to record the programmes.
