Don't even need the fitting....just heat the end of your ro tube a bit and slip it over the nipple and screw that nut down....I do this on all my dos and they all work flawlessly
Their website doesn't seem to have any information about them yet... I would really like to look and compare features to current day, and we'll as the new Hydros Maven.
The good news is that we can still use ABC reagents for the original Trident. I might just consider going back to Neptune now, unless the NP reagents will also cost 60€ per month in Europe.
I have 2 Dos and they work just fine. I will pick up the new Trident as I've been saying it should have been done years ago. The testing is dead simple just add hold time.
Interesting. I had my money bet on a new 'all in one' unit. Guess I'll wait a few more years for that one. I'm sure that'll be the next evolution of the Trident.
Will be a monster of a unit.. as i think u need 6 reagent bottles maybe even 7 depending on the reagent choice for no3 and po4.. and then u also need a massive waste collection container (1gallon+) if u want some life out of it..
@@aronjanssen5702Indeed. Perhaps they would need to consider a new design, as there are other multi-test units already on the market with reasonably sized proportions.
Meahh..., I was looking and hoping for an ALL-IN-ONE (5 ELEMENTS)...to replace my current TRIDENT that is already hard to fit in my current space... Not Really impressed and probably hold-out for now...but great suspense music and slick graphics...
Looks like they created a whole new trident that just does nitrate and phosphate. I hope not. Hopefully it's an all in one, but I dont know where they would put all the reagent, they should have just made 1 larger machine that does it all. As far as the dos, it looks the same. They should have made one that does 3, 4 and 5. This looks like the same 2, and the only change is the buttons that say left or right, a usless update.
Dos has new pcb and stepper drivers.. making it suitable for 24/7 continous operation, probably just a driver update (like from old 4988 to tmc2209 sort of deal).. The trident is just NO3 and po4.. those 2 parameters require the same or even more reagent/pinch valves than a normal kh/ca/mg trident.. I wonder how much the trident NP will be, and how the testing interval will be (and reagent cost/time before need to change)
@@billydanzz 1.5x quitter than old on slow 4x more quiet than old on fast mode.. 33 upto 49 db Large diameter tubing 6mm for dosing additive / water change / Liquid food and now suitable for calcium reactor use with 11.41 gallon per day max throughput on continuous mode. And now is rated for continuous duty (like the versa) Only works on apex a2/a3 (not classic) It has 6 speeds preset.. on high it should be 13db less noise.. thats significant, but i really dont mind noise as i personally just dosing modernreef rks supplements.. they are super concentrated, so dont have to dose TOO much
