With the Boston Celtics winning the 2024 NBA Championship, that now makes 6 different teams in the last 6 seasons coming out on top as champions, which is something that hasn't been done in a very long time. This era of parity in the 2020s has yet to produce a dynasty, which has led to many wondering: What team will be the next dynasty?

Talking about the injuries the celtics faced to discredit their run is a discredit to kristaps porzingis who missed pretty much most of bostons playoffs run. A legit 20 ppg top 3 defensive center in the league. KP>regular season jimmy KP>allen KP>hali The only player to have missed time (2 games) thats clearly better than KP is Spida. Him missing all those games offsets most if not all of the games other players faced. We all saw what a semi-healthy porzingis did to a healthy mavs in 1 game.

OKC has tons of draft picks stashed for a reason. I think they plan on maxing out J will, shai, and chet while cycling out guys with draft picks

NBA media has obsession with Superteams, NBA media dictates NBA casual which make a majority of the sport. And we all have been saying that NBA media sucks, the only good NBA media was TNT and now that is over.

I don’t disagree, but what we can’t deny is that ratings and popularity do lean more towards enjoying super teams than parity. And naturally that’s not ideal for the business

Ratings go down without a superteam. There needs to be a King of the Hill so that fans of the rest of the league know whose downfall they want to see. That part is crucial. It’s also just how the league has always been, besides in the 70s when the ABA diluted the talent pool for the NBA.
