So I've been seeing a bit of map inaccuracies in this video, so when Britain colonized Palestine after the Ottomans fell, it was called "The British Mandate of Palestine" which includes of Israel (minus Golan Heights), Palestine, and Jordan. And in 25:09, when it shows Vichy France over Syria and Lebanon it also shows Turkey there too, which is inaccurate. Turkey stayed out of the conflict entirely. I don't want to send hate, I just want to point out some inaccurate stuff mapping.

October, as I refused to speak on the topic until I fully understood the nuance. It is not easy finding unbiased information on this subject, even websites and books. I hate that the extremist channels spreading false history and religious narratives are the channels getting millions of views and subscribers. I love this channel as much as I love Oversimplified. The creator of this video told histories from both sides of the conflict and did not even sugarcoat any war crime or attrocities commited by both sides (such as attrocities commited by US and South Koreans during Korean War) , which helped me listening to the other side of the story and helped with my history research. None of my western friends know this specially my right wing partners. You see before 1914 muslims, christians and jews lived together in Palestine under ottomans from centuries. Upon watching this video a couple times and noting several historical inaccuracies and fallacies. I took it upon myself to write this small timestamp corrections list thingamajig. If it is not so hilariously obvious by the list of ‘historical’ sources cited in the making of this video: Ilan Pappe - The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine, Rashid Khalidi - The Hundred Years War on Palestine, Benny Morris - The Birth of the Palestinian Refugee Problem Revisited, Sami Adwan, Dan Bar-On, Eyal Naveh - Side by Side, Parallel Histories of Israel-Palestine, Nur Masalha - Expulsion of the Palestinians, The Concept of "Transfer" in Zionist Political Thought,1882-1948. This video and its sources lean heavily and advocate a pro palestinian side to the story while not using any sources of the opposite or really any other view (I will link some at the end) and therefore not just simplifying but GROSSly oversimplifying this subject, its causes and consequences and building a inaccurate incomplete and concerningly dangerous narrative for easy consumption of the youtube masses, who mistakenly think they left this video with a semi-complete understanding of the inception of this conflict. Although this may be of no concern to Things I care about, or anyone else for that matter. History is not black and white but a palette of grays, in order to get a complete picture and fully understand a subject, you must look at all sides, even the ones you don't want to for sake of convenience or laziness. I want to express my disappointment with how little thought and research went into putting together this video and I am highly concerned for the motives behind it, be it personal gain or something a little more sinister like trying to spoon feed your audience a specific perspective. If being biased was never the intention, I highly recommend you do more research into topics like the Israel-Palestine conflict before uploading anything including part 2. It will take a little longer, but trust me it'll be worth it. You will likely get attacked by both sides, but that's a sign you've made improvement. There are a bunch of statements that are not sourced because they are opinions, unfortunately. These opinions are stated as truths. A neutral analysis does not work this way. I will show below the timestams when opinions or false information is stated as truths. It is ridiculously biased and based on one source of information that has already been proven to be completely unreliable. You minimize the involvement of the Palestinians in the atrocities, and especially that of Haj Amin al-Husseini, there is a reason he is called the Supreme Mufti of Jerusalem. Almost all Arabs at that time were devoutly religious. But the grades at that time were completely secular. The Mufti was openly anti-Semitic and his partnership with Hitler was enormous. He called Hitler: "the defender of Islam" and encouraged their horrible works. The Lahi (which was the most extreme of the Jewish underground), on the other hand, never met with the Nazis. It was an idea that failed to materialize, and was dismissed very quickly. Peace does not come from mutual recognition of what has been done to you, it comes from mutual recognition of what you have done to others. If so, everything is fine.
