I wrote this at 1 am and spent 2 days editing. Probbaly the longest I´ve ever worked on a video aside from some animation commissions last year. But thats animating. So its a whole other thing.
Came to an interesting conclusion about what pure light and dark are while going through the final shape campaign. . They're both two colors each, Darkness - Orange/Black Light - White/Blue . The rest are just tertiaries from those directions on, split apart and/or added upon. . Thus suggests none of our abilities are anything but split lines from a prism, for either side, and proves why the next subclass won't be resonance.
Oh, and the pyramids aren't designed all anguiarly because of fashion or anything, they're literally made of darkness enfused material so they manifest its shape language.
After some comments I've been getting on this video, I think I wanna expand on the Electro-Magnetic spectrum part which I only expressed in some text in the video. Becuase Yellow Aligns with high radiation levels at a cosmic level.
I will say tho-- /IF/ we ever do get resonance, it'll only be in turn with pure light, which we now know if fused together are the ability to create objects from memory or imagination. (Likely how ahamkara work)
@@suruxstrawde8322 No denying the similarity to ahamakara. However the Ahamkara rely on different process. Because its almost a meta ability and relies on the Anthem to feed on that difference between reality as is and reality as it isn't
@@melvinjenkins7360 thats part of resonance. I failed to mention the Witness’ power set and abilities. But honestly, theres so much at this point Witness kinda warrants a whole video on his own
I feel like resonance should be the final subclass based on the mural still in Rhulk’s Pyramid. I don’t think we can wield the nightmares because that is a power created by Nezarec out of the resonance he wielded and with his own powers prior to meeting the witness. I feel like since the witness abused the power of 6:39 resonance, we will get to use it (I pray). Also I think taking is the purest form a darkness since darkness is “black” lol. I think bungie intended to give us resonance but they hit a wall trying to implement it for us. (Which is why we got prismatic early) Who knows. Egregor is also is seen in the final shape with how it is made with pure darkness “black”. Idk it’s strange how all this links together. I just resonance is the next one, being that it’s not a power like stasis and strand used maliciously like the others it’s just power spawned from the darkness.
Nightmare and Taken powers are related, remember Duality dungeon when we delved into Calus's memory? We were also able to hit the Machine, inside the memory, to go beyond what we saw and peel back the layer into the Nightmare realm similar to the Taken power to move between the Ascendent planes. Is it coincidence that Bungie said in the Heresy episode that we would "peel back the layers" on the Dreadnaught? I think not..they are all tied to memory..thats why Nezerac can't die cause part of his body acts like a back up..also prolly a long shot but if the two dark subclasses we currently have start with "st" then "Strange" or "State" (Store would be a big weird) could be an option. I'm betting the Echoes have something do to with each part of the power, this episode is the Echo that "compels and commands."
@@josh60088 i can see what you mean, but in Duality were delving into Calus’ mindscape. Im aware Taking also dives into the mind, but thats more because it is also a power derived from the dark. I think its safe to safe that perhaps every element has its on layer in related. Weve heard of even Void having its own space, strand and its weave, and the Taken entering its own space in the Ascendant Realm
@@TACKO3D Which is fair but consider also that Resonance is only shape given form based on memory, consider the egregore and pyramid tech lore which the Drifter says "makes a funny noise" like communication or will given form.
Lore wise the darkness is about the power of the mind and consciousness. Taken and Stasis are the elements of will and control while Strand is the element of psychic connection according to Osiris. An element of the mind would make sense for the next Darkness subclass. Maybe dream/nightmare powers could be one or emotions/rage could also be a thing
@@PhoenixDragon86 yeah, thats the one thing every power ive mentioned here. Every power of the darkness is connected to the mind. ESPECIALLY those connected to will power.
More specifically, I think the third subclass will focus on the Unconscious and Emotions. It's the chaos in the Darkness that the Witness wanted to get rid of.
Oh ye uh, the symbol used with that pure light beam, is a physically inverted sphere geometrically. Seen it in videos explaining turning a sphere inside out before. . Similarly, Savathuns' symbol that looks so much like a W, is a circular plot of the 6/9/3 light physics thing. Which only changed to that after she'd gained the light, suggesting insight into its functionality and it becoming a part of her identity.
I've said since D1 we should get Siva powers, think about it if they would've kept rasputin alive that could have been the perfect segway into getting siva abilities. I'll come back and update my comment with a scenario in how we get the powers but I seriously think we should get Siva abilities. But also man the video was peak!!
i know it’s not a type of energy of darkness or light, but i’m really hoping we get a siva subclass. it’s one of the coolest parts of d1 that they’ve barely touched upon in d2 (besides outbreak perfected). plus they’ve brought back every single d1 raid other than wrath of the machine, and ada-1 alludes to siva in the lore tab of a weapon that came out relatively recently (i don’t remember which). i reallly hope they do something siva related at least!!!
Its not Paracausal but it did pose a threat the Iron Lords in their peak! Theres tons of people that want a Siva Subclass. I think it was Sierra that made a concept animation for a Siva subclass. It would be awesome. If D3 is coming soon, it looks like Bungie is set on letting the powers go crazy with rumors of the elimination of Classes. It could open the door to taking the guardian's power set somewhere previously thought impossible. Since The Sacred Splicers of old were able to "weave" technology in many ways as Mithrax has stated multiple times with in game dialouge. So there may be more connection between the light and all forms of matter.

thanks for the reccomendation. I've actually been avoiding other videos for now. Cuase I wanna be able to take in the new material before hearing other's opinion on it. I haven't gotten started on this week's Echoes update.
