Yep, that was a guess. I hunted everywhere trying to find a loadout count for tomahawks on the Astute and came up short. At some point I had to throw a dart. But as this thing grows, the more input I receive like this, the better I get.

@@flatcirclehistoryyou should always mention that this is in a decade’s time. They simply lengthened the Astute class and added more vertical launch tubes.

True, Ukraine has proven that except for its Nukes, Russia is a paper tiger. China will eventually be a more significant threat to NATO and the US.

This takes place a decade after the Russian invasion of Ukraine. A lot can happen in 10 years. The Soviet forces in 1945 were a whole different military in comparison to 1935. Intelligence agencies say Russia can attack NATO as early as 2026. The Russians operate different now then 2 years ago. War years count triple innovation and experience wise. They are restructuring how they fight. Look at the latest BND reports. And they know the Russians

There is the book The Third World War by Sir John Hackett that I read as a teenager and VERY much had an influence on what I am creating today. It was written as if non-fiction. It's a dry read, but as a kid of the cold war, that book fascinated and scared the hell out of me.

Well it's Russia so it will happen

its possible since tomahawks flow very low to the ground & hide using high terrain, and can also leverage airports\commercial to make it difficult to shoot them all down. Thats why a lot of Ukranian strikes are able to hit targets in Russia. Russia also has a vast area & cannot put air defense systems from every possible direction. Airports are a huge problem for air defense, as it can result in commerical planes getting shot down. Only way would be to ground all flights which isn't going to happen (atleast not yet).

If China is taking Taiwan, that takes the powers of Japan, Australia and most US forces out of the European theatre. Unlike the Second World War, China is prolifically more powerful than Japan.

I hear ya. I had several school me on my HMS mistake. Noted for the future. Unfortunately I only had access to a generic uniform through an ARMA3 mod. I wont even mention what I had to use for the Russian sub uniform! :)
