You say he is terrible but in reality, outside of 2019, he has never been rated lower than 16th in terms of QBs. The problem is, and it sounds like you may fall into this category, more people watch stats than they do games. Crap, even in 2019, the Bucs defense and special teams cost them the Giants, Saints, Seahawks, and Falcons game. Again, those small details that comes with watching the games.

He gets the Saints to Wild Card if he doesn’t tear his ACL. He loved NOLA, but Dennis Allen just wanted him to rot away on the bench, because for whatever reason, he hated him.

I love how Brees isn't mentioned here once again despite being on that tier AND BEING a starter over this man. Wild.

The reason he isnt mentioned is because the topic is about talented Quarterbacks, and because Brees was certainly hardworking, but wasnt talented (like Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Joe Montana). 1. *There is a reason the Chargers kicked Brees out, got rid of him and then replaced him with Philipp Rivers* (the same way the Bucs kicked out Winston). 2. There is a reason Drew Brees got his Superbowl win (and his only good year) the same year, his team was involved in the illegal "Bounty gate scandal". 3. As the NFL are cowards as always, they didnt have the balls to ban the completely illegal Saints team that entire year, and thats how they won the Superbowl. Dont pretend you forgot that part of history.

Completely agree. Being an NFL QB is a vocation, a divine, spiritual calling and a blessing from God. Unfortunately he didnt take it seriously. He simply didnt understand that there are currently 53 Million men between the ages of 11 and 31 in America, who would dream to have his talent and he decided to waste it. Whenever I see Jamais, I see a player laughin, jumping, clowning, smiling, gooding and running around like a fool, everything except taking Football seriously. He is CLEARLY talented. Throughout the history of the NFL there have been only 5 players who have thrown more than 5000 yards and more than 30 touchdowns in a season (Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes, Peyton Manning, Dan Marino and Jamais Winston). So the talent is clearly there. He simply didnt take is seriously.

The one position I'll give you is Wirfs and that was a lucky homerun that never happens. If you look at the roster the Bucs were starting 19 of 22 starters that played with Winston...

@mckickz665 : Well, Jameis Winston wasn't thinking too bright when he got picked up from the New Orleans Saints that season, thinking that he was going to be the starter over Drew Brees. He basically double down and join the Saints, thinking that he can win a SuperBowl with them as a starter. If he was smart, he should've asked Tampa for a One Year deal even if that meant he would've been a backup QB to Tom Brady for pennies. Then, once that contract is up, if everything goes the same with the Bucs winning the Superbowl that season, then Jameis can go to the Saints since Drew would've been retired and the organization need a QB. (Plus, Jameis' resume would've been somewhat better since he got an SB ring with the Bucs that season)

Interceptions wasn't the reason the Bucs weren't winning. And he didn't throw "too many ints" until 2019.

Turnover machine? So tell me about the other 12 games in a standard Jameis Winston season, because outside of 2019, majority of his seasons would consist of games with 1 or no interceptions. Crap, you still got some people that think fumbles instead of fumble lost are turnovers..lol. Truth is, his interceptions were exaggerated, for reasons. He would give you multiple about 3-4 games but more often than not, he had mostly clean games.

Yes that’s what I said when I read his stats for that season. No quarterback has thrown 30 TDS and 30Ints in a season before him…which is what he did.

But yet, everyone raves about his football IQ...lol

I followed that story. There was no there there. The eventual undisclosed settlement was basically nothing. The girl's aunt attorney pushed her to pursue rape charges and came up empty handed which led to the Uber driver sexual assault alagations. That was a setup, but at least the attorney got something out of it that time.
