Scented candle is popular worldwide. I agree with her about Bornu and scents. My wife was born in Maiduguri and still always asked for scents to be sent to her from Nigeria. I almost dabbled into scented candle business a while ago to be sold on Amazon but decided on a different product. I also like the 'Made in Nigeria' label. A lot of business lessons learned here. thanks. Tayo, I love the way you are evolving and that is one of the secrets of longevity in any endeavor. Kudos to you and Bukky for bringing us this video. If Scentify ever consider putting their brand on Amazon, I have knowledge about building brand on Amazon marketplace especially the EU markeplace including UK.
@@ComfortCommunity I think the most important step is to be sure whether the type of product you are selling is a product people are searching for. Is it African hair product or generic? If you use scented candle as an example, anyone regardless of race can buy scented candle. If you are selling african air product on Amazon, there might be an argument that majority of African who want to buy the product can just buy from their local african shop. please don't get me wrong, there are people who sell african products online on amazon/ebay/etsy etc and still succeeding. But, the type of product need to be products that have a lot of people going online to search for. basically, research on volume of search before sourcing for a product to sell.
@@akebullanrising3308 This is why many Nigerians are weary of this Pan Africanism concept. Whenever something negative happens even remotely involving Nigeria or Nigerians wether it's true or not Africans are quick to jump on the bandwagon even teaming up with the "enemy" in trying to destroy Nigeria/Nigerians. But the second Nigerians excel or accomplish something; which is usually more than the others, they start shouting the whole "One Africa", "Black excellence" stuff trying to get a piece of the cake sometimes claiming the entire thing. Pan Africanism is not here not even close knock it off.
When an advertising practitioner decides to become an entrepreneur, the outcome is great marketing for the product or service they want to sell. Great video production Tayo ✌
I have realised that most Nigerian after schools goes back to the passion of their parents or should I say memories of their childhood and make great business out of it. This was truly interesting Tayo. Well done.
@@bukolaakinmboni7863 I wasn’t really listening until I heard you say my dad’s from Ondo and my mom is from Borno! My ears perked up and I looked up because I was sure that must be my Yacilla’s Baby girl! Lol. Hey Bukky. I am so proud of you.
Tayo I refuse to let you shock me in many levels!!!!!!!!!!!! Just a brilliant inspirational story with the brilliance of all your signatures. I watched the USA Gymnast Simone Biles over the weekend, the commentator said that at her level of skill and technical perfection, she can only compete against herself. And that's just You! Boy you're something! I had to watch this video twice! Love you Tayo. More Blessings.
Nothing more beautiful than seeing "Made in Nigeria" products. This is an amazing and beautiful video Tayo!! Thanks for going to Abj to share Bukky's story!! 🙌
What a beautiful segment please make this your main segment of telling the stories of both big and small businesses. When it comes to telling authentic African stories this is where you win. I love the way you do not overhype the story or overwhelm the person telling their story. Your personality, video and editing skills are just amazing.
Interesting! my dad had a candle factory as far back as 1981, the first in old Oyo state and later relocated to ondo state as the first candle factory in ondo state around 1983. He did a few scented candles but found there wasn't much of a market for it. Lack of raw materials at the time forced a closure. Nigeria is more cosmopolitan and scented candles are more desirable. I wish the lady good luck and i hope she grows from strength to strength.
Keep going Tayo. Your depiction about the hardworking part of Nigerians gives us hope. Even with the bad and corrupt government that we have in Nigeria. People are still resilient.
Entrepreneurship need patience and consistency. You just have to preserve. Nowhere is Entrepreneurship easy. In America for instance, About 90% of startups fail. 10% of startups fail within the first year. Across all industries, startup failure rates seem to be close to the same. Failure is most common for startups during years two through five, with 70% falling into this category. So, entrepreneurship challenges are not peculiar to Nigeria. You just have to preserve. The challenges, failures, mistake is part of the stories that makes your history sweet once you made it as entrepreneur. Without it your story will be boring. Kudos to the lady. I love the name of the brand. Keep pushing, Nigeria roads was not build in a day.
@@godwinejiofor8064 This is not about bitterness, this is about circulating Africa wealth within Africa, Good luck with European brands exploiting your simple ass 😂😂😂
Chai! This series is absolutely lit, the creativity you have is like you are tapping from a incredible source within you...amazing content. You are literally like 007, you don't know what's coming at you..."We global now"
So interesting!! I am Ghanaian, always knew that a lot of spices etc. come from Nigeria. Didn’t know scents are from the north too! Very awesome she is great! God bless you Tayo & Scentify
Thank you Bukky, continue to build your business as God is always with you. You are building the country in your own way. Tayo you are always there for our country. I really admire and appreciate you. Keep growing guy 👦
@Tayo Aina, You are the type of youtuber nigeria need right now. You are the best so far. Thanks to your videos, we are seeing Nigerian owned busninesses that are doing pretty well in a country where people derive pleasure in showing the worst of nigeria and fake violence scene. You will blow this year bro.
Tayo is here again with amazing content. Great to know small business that so not require capital base worth multi millions of naira. This video pushes the narrative of starting from the scratch and steady growth.
I used to think that these scented candles and diffusers are only for Oyibo people, thanks lady for putting us in the production map, "Made in Nigeria" sounds so exciting. show us more of these videos Tayo, they are very inspirational.
Well done Sis for your courage and belief to start & Run a business in Nigeria.. Tayo, I'm pleased you bringing this small businesses to inspire people.. Small Businesses MATTER!
I love that so much of the GDP is based on small business. This gives more people the opportunity to be involved in the economy. This way people can control their own money and their lives without someone else telling them what to do. Personal control over your money is awesome! Great video!
Now I owe you $100. I've watched this over 6 times. We need more of this!!! Can you ask these entrepreneurs, how many members of their families are actively involved in the business? Family businesses are the most popular in the world, it would be interesting to hear the story of family businesses in Africa.
Great Job Tayo!...your platform is having alot of Impact on alot of people especially the youth!...keep doing the good works! We are here to support you.
Bro I have been a fan of your content eversince I accidentally bumped into your video with Steve Mululu. Such a great content bro. I love the differentiation in your channel
Nice one Mr Tayo, we need to change the channel name to Tayo Aina Tv because it has reached that level. From content, production, videography etc we see all the hard work 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Like I said, you are the best RU-vidr in Africa. Your subscribers number does not reflect the reality and the quality of the contents you are putting out. This is for the long whole. Ultimately , you will reach a critical mass and then you will surpass every body. This new product i.e. small business stories is on point …kudos.
Its always a great pleasure watching your videos man. I love the time and creativity you invest in your work. Keep up the good work you are doing in telling African stories through visuals.
