I don’t know if this is the best place to bring this up but, my friend and I could never find any objective material on why the Weimar Republic was targeted so strongly by AH. I know that it was blamed, in part, for its involvement with the unreasonable reparations placed upon Germany via the Versailles Treaty. I’m also aware that the Weimar Republic represented a lifestyle and morality that AH was convinced would only serve to corrupt German people. I think taking into consideration what hitler was trying to build ,assigning responsibility based on a necessity without clearly understanding what that is yet ,and hitler being somewhat new to the job he had to take it slow. Meanwhile, Rohm, who had clearly proven himself and the SA useful to hitler early on, felt somewhat slighted and probably neglected ,then of course there was the idea that Rohm thought more of himself in general almost eventually forced hitlers hand maybe not directly since rarely does the boss see the failings ,but Hitlers lieutenants who also thought more of themselves and we're also opportunists did.
Otto was a traitor, but Gregor reconciled with the party and proved his loyalty to Hitler. My belief is that Goring or Himmler was behind Gregor's demise.

This particular video is detailed and well researched and reasonable in it's arguments and conclusions except for one rather significant matter. That concerns the killing of Kurt von Schleicher and the loyalty of the high ranking army Generals etc to Hitler following Schleicher's death. As is well known, powerful army officers plotted to kill Hitler on many occasions. One article said that over 40 plots were discussed but only a small number came to fruition. Hitler took loyal SS soldiers with him to army bases when reviewing the troops to guarantee his safety. This is also well known. The old guard, including Hindenburg, were not at all happy about Hitler ordering the killing of Schleicher as he was one of their own, as the video mentions. The German military as a whole may well have supported Hitler in what happened on the Night of the Long Knives but some of the most powerful officers in the German army tried to kill him for killing one of "them".

Whatever you may say about Roosevelt or Churchill your detractors/debunkers have a point; theirs was never a state policy of murder even if individuals took it upon themselves to be particularly cruel to pow or civilians. In this example can you point to an analogous example where American or British politicians were straight up executing their political rivals?
If by "state policy of murder" the detractors are referring to the Night of the Long Knives, then they have an enormous problem. The people that Hitler and the SS killed in this event represented the most radical and violent elements of the National Socialist movement at a time when they represented a genuine security threat to the German nation. How many defeated Germans were hanged by the Allies after the war, upon the thinnest pretense of due process, at a time when they were no longer able to create such a threat? The loose rules of evidence used in the International Military Tribunal are instructive here.

I guess some folks are just naturally unfortunate in the honker genes department. Actually, I've been pretty lucky myself. I have a good deal of Polish ancestry(ACTUAL Poles), so I very easily could have inherited that same trait. It's fairly common among ethnic Poles. My mom has a substantial snoot, herself. I recall that my dad used to tease her with the nickname of "Snoopy" when they were kids. 😆

Agree that Rohm was completely out of his depth in his relations with Hitler and Hitlers group of cut throats. He trusted Hitler and he did not comprehend the hard ball that was being played by the others. It cost him his life. Once Rohm was sitting in a jail cell and he heard the first executions taking place, that moment was a big learning curve for him. He was totally outmanuevered. What they falseley accused Rohm of, they were actually doing against him.
Kurt von Schleicher was also one of the conservatives/reactionaries that were purged in the night of the long knives, the conservative/reactionary types often criticized the NSDAP because of the S A lawlessness and the fact that the S A became too revolutionary and left leaning, and some of them criticized the NSDAP as a whole for it's supposed paganism, which was kinda true, and the fact that they didn't want to return to a Kaiserreich Germany and some of them hated it, so it is kinda funny how some of them were also purged in the night of the long knives. And it wasn't just a purging of the leadership of the revolutionary beefsteak/marxian elements within the party, but also the reactionary elements who could've posed a threat. But despite that the NOTLK tends to be used as a cheap political point, even when you had conservative capitalist types like kurt von Schleicher and some other reactionary types who were also purged.
Rohm was so delusional to the extent that he underestimated the power of Hitler; and more so, the empowerment Hitler gave the SS. This delusion cost him his life in the worst way.

During the Nuremberg Trials, Göring admitted the telegram was never seen by Hindenburg, and was actually written by the Nazis. Göring would have had no reason to lie as you well know since you covered the trials in detail. I think you should put a caption to reflect this, it's quite important.
Interesting, though not that important in the grand scheme of things. The telegram may be fake, but the feelings and emotions were the same, everyone hated the SA at this point and was scared of them and Ernst's desire for revolution, so Hindenburg was very relieved to hear all of this affair being concluded in as peaceful a way as it could have been.
