How have I not seen this before? I love Emma, she's so beautiful and talented I could watch her all day. Keep making these vids Emma, you bring people joy in these troubled times where there isn't a lot to be happy about.
Why? High heels were originally invented for men, by men to be worn by men. They weren't worn by women women until they were banned. That's where high affluent, look down their nose etc phrases came from. High heels were worn by wealthy men and fierce calvary warriors. Also by butchers in the Egyptian age but that was to keep their feet clean. Anyway warriors and aristocrats wore them. Until one French battle when they are were ordered to run away and couldn't. They were tripping over the long curled toes and sinking in the mud. They were then banned. The only reason why men find them sexy today is because they are told to. Just goes to show how easily impressionable most men are. Just as before the gender toy marketing craze of the 80s pink was the number one male garment selling color of all recorded history. Blue was the number one dress color of all recorded history until the 80s. When suddenly blue became the supposed masculine color and black became the number one dress color. Why, because people became easily impressionable. I don't think it a stretch to imply in part due to education negate the 80s is also when the deliberate dumbing down of Americans treaty was signed with Russia. Which forced American schools to institute a Russian based common core curriculum. The more you know 🌠 .......
Michael Whitaker Totally agree... the men put no real effort into doing the dance as it should be.. and the women just looked like they were not into it..
@@eslcity right? if you can't dance in heels, dont wear heels, it's simple. What's the point of gender bending if you cant do it as good as the original, or better, or at least make it funny? And bobby banas is unbeatable in the original performance, so they should've aimed for funny.
well, that was different. This is an exceedingly hip homage to Bobby Banas, and his company of dancers. All three black suited dancers are doing a really swell job.. and some fine dancing. You have to watch this several times to separate out the performances... at first I thought there were just two dancers and this was done with video mixing. Sadly one of the guys is just faking through it... memorable.. and plenty of hard work to make. Fun !
maybe because it sucked a big juicy one... it can't even compare to the first version.. and hopeful whoever made it will think twice before making another one that sucks so bad...
Hell I loved it and I'm in my 50s. They had fun. The dancing is good...they brought a new face to a long forgotten dance...the exit from the rest rooms was a hoot... especially the guy grabbing his crotch on the way out ...go to a game sometime and watch how many guys do that. It was tongue in cheek stuff and quite cheeky...loved every second of it!
I missed the fun at dancing, like the fun when the dance was over… the original dancers had style and grace at dancing…. Which I missed, too. Only sexy legs in a show is like strawberry cake without strawberries… a Horror! That was not nitty gritty… sorry it was very shitty! But I would liked it if I wouldn’t knew the origin… sometimes I like horror and very shitty, too…. But not this time!
I get it. The girls in the original seemed like Amazons with their high heels, big hair, bows and hard- finished dresses. Here, with a lot of help from drag we can see the point pushed right over the edge. The whole spoof reminds me of the Robert Palmer "Addicted to Love" video with the huge female guitar players in vinyl dresses. No doubt somebody is trying to point out the horrible injustice of gender and trans bias and phobia..and more power to them. I'm glad that what my generation was so blind to and ignorant of is finding a voice and a dance and a costume.
