Weight loss is one of the most non-linear processes. You can have everything weighed to the milligram every day, run the exact same amount of miles , train the exact amount of reps on the exact same days and you’re bound to plateau at some point which can be discouraging. Your body needs time to adapt to new states , stay motivated keep going stay on the grind and you will get there. Good luck

Calories still seems more like guess work than knowing insulin and it’s role in the body…we don’t know how many cals in or cals out it’s always an estimate and no way of knowing for sure l…insulin and cortisol are the main fat storage hormones
@saturnine1979
@saturnine1979 20 дней назад
There isn't any scientific basis for an insulin model of obesity. Calories aren't that complicated and they have research to back up the effectiveness of using them as a basis for weight loss.
@oneluv11
@oneluv11 20 дней назад
@@saturnine1979 theories yes but not scientific since cals in and out cannot be measured indefinitely across different ppl which is an unreliable method and probably outdated…body runs and n functions on hormones…steroid uses can still put on muscle without exercising or eating extra calories hence the hormones provide a stronger signal than it doesn’t to rely on calories that cannot be measured appropriately

This guy is outdated, informing bordering on just wrong. He is selling his information. I don't believe half the crap he says.
@Bot28111
@Bot28111 19 дней назад
Could you explain further?
@GREYGANDALF
@GREYGANDALF 19 дней назад
@Bot28111 Sure, first off, there has never been any scientific proof that cholesterol makers have a negative impact. So, take everything he said about the subject and discard it. Second, his opinion on carbohydrates is definitely skewed. His explanation on how one gets a fatty liver is completely wrong. Third, his lack of information on hormones and how they affect the body is troublesome. In a nut shell, he is a gym bro who used P.E.D.s to achieve his goals. When it comes to nutrition and weight loss, I'd take his advice with a grain of salt. Basically, he is a male Gillian Michaels, yes, The Biggest Loser got short-term results. This came with a cost. Most contestants put the weight back on and then some. I've listened to him before in the past. I didn't finish this video, but nothing seems to have changed. There is definitely a genetic component as well as a hormone. You can definitely circumvent these with just eat less food, but imo it's better to factor them in and work smarter, not harder. Keep this in mind. There are no essential carbohydrates. Fiber isn't required in a human diet. As a matter of fact, studies show that more fiber actually can cause more issues than it solves. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't remember him getting into things like systematic inflammation or Metabolic Syndrome. He is basically a just do the math kinda guy. When it doesn't work. It's your fault. You didn't do it right. He says some good stuff imo. Like prioritize protein for the right reasons, too. I agree about resistance training and get a net loss of energy from exercise and reduction in intake. Eliminating process foods. All good advice imo. I have lots to say on this topic, but those are some highlights

@@GREYGANDALF So what would be your advice to lose a lot of fat?
@GREYGANDALF
@GREYGANDALF 19 дней назад
If someone wanted to get down to a reasonable body fat percentage. I'd recommend a high protein low carbohydrate diet. I'd recommend intermittent fasting with some longer fasts. I'd recommend weight resistance training. I'd recommend a cardio plan. I wouldn't recommend counting calories unless weight loss stalls. What and how much would depend on the person. Back on diet, I'd recommend a carnivore or keto-vore. Whole food diet. This elimination diet combined with fasting. This would help with insulin sensitivity and bring down systematic inflammation. I'd recommend limited dairy products at first. The fasting also helps reduce loose skin via autophagy. This is a satiating diet unlike a low calorie if it fits the macros style diet. Where people fill up on fiber and water and feel starved the entire time. These would be some of my recommendations. There are many ways to get to the same destination. You could take a limo, or you could walk, or everything in-between. Hope that helps. This is my opinion based on my research and my anecdotal experiences.

Vegans not covered. Iron for vegans please?
@CarlYota
@CarlYota 24 дня назад
As a fellow vegan this comment confuses me. If you’re worried about iron deficiency just look up plant based sources. Why would you expect a meat eating bodybuilder in a.m video to tell you what plants you should eat for certain micronutrients. Most people aren’t vegan and they aren’t gonna cater to us. Just look it up yourself or take a supplement.
