@@michaelireland5727 I don't think that bear thing was mythical. I think it was an actual polar bear but because everyone was being poisoned by their food it made them think it was a monster.
I binge watched it. Colin Farrells plays a great character and so far removed from his norm. Almost unrecognisable but thoroughly entertaining and well worth a watch. I won't ruin it for anyone so I will say no more. Enjoy
@@Marcuscaravan Who the hell names a ship like that? Seriously the hubris of those people! Following the footsteps of the Titanic even before it was built. Whats next? Unsinkable? - Try Beagle! Much more successful.
@@rusalkin even better, HMS Erebus - Erebus being “the primeval god of darkness, son of Chaos” - nothing like a good omen like that to set your expedition off on the right foot lmaooo
You'd enjoy this. Last year a U.S. Aircraft Carrier was rapidly succumbing to Covid Virus. The desperate captain disobeyed direct orders, broke with the fleet and set his crew off at a remote outpost. He only lost 1 soul. The captain's name was Crozier.
They need to modern adaptation of Shackleton and other members of the Endurance. I was made to read to book in college in Alaska (Outdoor studies degree)... such an awe aspiring feat those men managed to do... crazy shit... Didn't lose one person...
@George Thurgood Deny anything until you can prove it to yourself. If a story of the past keeps us safe from the future im all for that. Find a great movies agenda its always simple and always religious in Holy Wood.
I'm getting some heavy 'The Terror' vibes. The book by Dan Simmons is nothing less than amazing by the way. If you only ever read one book of modern fiction in your life let that be it. Its the type of book that can make anything interesting simply because it pertains to the survival of the crew and their overall conditions .. I recall the book spending like 3-4 pages on discussing the pros/cons of european vs african oak for shipbuilding and resistance to ice pressure. I swallowed up those pages as if wood had been some sort of original passion of my own.
REPENT! There’s no time! Many will die in their sins, and we will all stand before the judgement of Christ. There’s hope though in the blood of Christ. He PAID your penalty, because He LOVES you!
Sounds cool!, just had a look and it/the premise looks right up my street thanks :-) .......bit off topic, but I just watched an amazing doc called 'Memory: The Origins of Alien', it goes into the influences of previous movies, books, Human history etc on the 1979 movie (one of my favs!)....which sounds a bit like how Involution Ocean could have influenced some of the story of The North water.
