Another good alternative for lyna is Ib the world chalice priestess. Using a drytron and linkuriboh/anima. If it points to a monster or a link monster points to it, it cannot be destroyed and it can't be targeted by card effects. It can also send itself to protect a monster it points to if it comes up.
@@MekkaYGO I tried Ib the world chalice priestess and I have to say that in my opinion she is the best spellcaster monster you can use for this combo. Sometimes I had the problem with Lyna that my opponent managed to summon a monster with more than 1850ATK, destroyed Lyna in the battle phase and was able to activate spells again in his main phase 2.
@@LoganJYA @MekkaYGO I made a video for the combo when you use Ib the world chalice priestess! I also added a few more combos like a 4 card combo (Alpha+Zeta+Any Drytron/Any Ritual Monster+Nova/Fafnir). This way you can get not 4 but 6 monsters negates. I also had the "problem" that my opponent drew an Imperm when it was his turn. With it he negated Alpha Draconids but with the 4 card combo you can still have 4 monster negates (activate I:P as soon as possible and then you still have the effect of the new trap). If you want, you can watch my video on it to se what i mean.😁
Yeah that's a nasty combo, and we're just starting. I was trying out the new cards but didn't consider that you can go into Ancient Fairy, now that you will always have the field spell live as part of the main combo.
Drytron is one of those decks which always fascinates me, mainly for the unique way of using Rituals, for the artworks that are so mesmerising. Especially the Meteonis Drytron, one of my favourite artworks in the whole game
Here is an AMAZING tech i found: Yubel field > destroy Yubel, summon lvl 11 yubel. Since it cant be normal summoned/set its all legal for Drytrons! Then you summon the Yubel fusion and BAM! You played through droll and nibiru! And if they throw a handtrap and trigger your yubel? It destroys the yubel you shuffled and summons back the lvl 11, you get a material for masquerena and then make the yubel fusion again for an interruption in opps turn! Its nuts and you can play ancient fairy dragon to pop either the dry field or yubel field to search the otherone.
Drytron vs Dyrtron in EDOpro yesterday and my opponent played the yubel stuff in his deck (i hadn't watched logan's video at the time)............. Don´t want to talk about it😬
We all know how unbelievably powerful Natasha is, but I've been giving some thought to cutting Benten down to 1 and losing Natasha entirely after the support drops. With the machine lock, we're walled off of Natasha unless we plan on foregoing Nu-2 so generally speaking we probably won't need her or Benten past turn 1 and we've got all the setup in the world to play turn 3 and beyond even without the usual searched Benten locked and loaded in hand. If you cut Delta and Gamma to 1 apiece, throw in a Beta, you can play 3 Fafnir, 3 Nova, 3 Cyber Emergency, 1 One for One AND have room for 12 (!) handtraps/non-engine. It's not the Drytron I know and love, but boy is it consistent and a lot of fun. I personally probably won't play the Secret Village stuff in favor of setting up big chungus + Dawn Dragster + Mu Beta but its very cool
Logan please, try this Drytron suffers when Mu get imperm, veiler or mouner. So please try playing 1 Sauravis, along with Preprep(for Sauravis and benten), besides alpha can also search it, when u get the felling of having Sauravis in hand and safe that Mu will pass clean every time, u will know what i am talking.
The machine ritual lock hurts since you’re limited to drytron and magikey batobuster I may try toying with that since batobuster can be used as material with drytron ritual spell saying machine not drytron
It definitely lowers the ceiling but the resilience and consistency are worth it. Think about it, 1 Fafnir (field) is: S:P with banish and 1 add of any name, and that's before committing to alpha...
@@bensalach7346 Yep it pivots the deck from unfair-bullshit-turbo (which I have nothing against when I'm the one doing it btw), to a more conventional modern combo deck. Time will tell
Pretty sweet, I’m thinking about playing the double thrust on the main + pre prep and double ritual spell, should allow for a better going second matchup as drawing pre prep is an easy way of making a fat drytron, while thrust gets you to your powerful spells
Best end board I’ve made with the new support in a test hand is fafnir + ip + mu beta w/ material + FA synchro + DAD with all names in grave + mirage lights with Natasha meteonis and one unknown in hand. Opening hand was triple tactics which ended up being the unknown meteonis benten gamma and alpha. Dawn dragster was made as summon 3
Me watching a combo video with 4 monsters and 1 spell/trap negate: Man, that's cool XD Me watching loagan's viedeo right after: Why 1 spell/trap negate when you could just not let the opponent activate a single spell XD🔥🔥🔥
im not a fan of village of the spellcasters considering every single meta deck right now has easy access to a way to out it (ie. anima on a level 1, or diabelstar) and then your whole board looses to tactics if they do that.
Sounds good in theory, but in practice it's way harder to out. For example: You normal ash and NOT use effect so DAD doesn't destroy it. Then you link for anima and now I must use I:P for dyna to spin it and summon back DAD. And now you must summon diabellstar and again NOT use the effect. And now You must have a way to deal with DAD like tactics and You must have an extender like bonfire. And God forbid if you don't OTK me or put enough interruptions....
with Ursatron alpha searchable now is it worth reinvestigating flagship to make Abyssgaios with Flagship and Ursatron to protect your spellcaster from Kashtira crashing/adding a negate?
Field spell for nova, nova for nu2, nu2 for ursatron, ursatron for any s/t could be cont trap or counter. 1 card is a disruption, two monsters, and either a counter or a cont trap. Then use these cards for disruption, (sp) or use any name from hand to tribute ursatron and put another lvl 1. I’ve played through every single nibiru, shifter, and droll. We play through it now.
btw i think there is more optimal combos with this new support like vanity plus DAD ( i think it would have less brick cards) the sky is limit with new support
I think they achieve the same goals (anti monsters) so they kinda conflict in a way...and then spells and traps become problematic. Also I don't think you can have both from just a 2 card combo.
Hate to be the bear a bad news but I don't think that the big new drytron ritual monster will come in and collect this rare he might be a quarter century instead. Infinite forbidden looks like a main if this is a side set then it's pretty crazy. Honestly I would rather that 5,000 ritual monster as quarter century secret rare blinding .
So, for other fairy targets, what would you recommend? I’m not a fan of Natasha post new support (I think it’s just the way that I play/think), and I don’t like vanities. Currently I’m on 2 herald, but I think that’s overkill. What others are there?
Great profile dude. I get you're the drytron guy but objectively speaking, how competitively viable do you think this deck will be post INFO with the new support Vs meta decks I.e fiendsmith? And do you think you would change much given the age of this video. I get I'm asking you to predict the future but all help appreciated
I do think it’s a serious contender post new support, due large in part to the new 1 card combos and added consistency. It’s such a diverse format, Drytron Is still a playable option now. All remaining equal, it will just take a good pilot with good luck who doesn’t get shiftered too much
Funny thing is, there is no reason to leave that Lyna/Akashic up on the board. You can just take those 2 Drytrons and make them into Fucho so you can guarantee you'll live and then, during your turn, go into Lyna. Or you can go into Mirage lights if you have a spare B10.
I don't believe you can sack off the xz dryton with the two underneath for the new 5k attack monster you would have to use both materials and another dryton monster cause of rulings with the xz monster. I could be wrong. Happy as hell dryton is finally getting support that helps the deck can't wait to play the deck once again
@@LoganJYA Having one proxy have a slip of paper to show it and the other two being regular cards is silly. And I don't care whose video this is. I clicked on it cause I typed Drytron deck into the search bar.
This a rather irrelevant nitpick. Like some whiny OCD level stuff. Turning on your audio/CC and using simple observation (watch the video) and discernment (use your brain) will tell you they were place holders. Printing out actual proxies is a pain in the ass. This way is much faster (and what I do when I don't have cards and pretend they are said card like Drytron Nova.) Way too antagonistic towards Logan. We are literally all fans of this deck.
