Maybe I'll try that next. It's very RNG depending. It could be much faster, or slower. That's probably the fun of it. You just invented a Speedrun Category haha
Silly theory; All those nuggets were fake, but really good fakes. The grunt keeps giving them away to some kid that's giving them trouble so the kid will get caught selling fake gold as real gold and sent to jail.
how the actual hell do you have less subs than me?! I'm definitely gonna give you a shoutout, cause this is awesome, and wayyyy better than what I make!
It's not hard at all...selling 99 rare candies on Emerald will get you $237,600 dollars. Do that a couple of times and BOOM!!! You will eventually hit $999,999!! Does it go against the spirit of the game?? Maybe...do I really care?? Not even a little bit😂
I knew about this as a kid but never tried it. It felt too mean to let my pokemon lose a battle😭🥴 now when I play through fr/lg I grind up to 30 nuggets, for 150,000. A good set up but without killing myself!
But why stop at only 200? Farm 2000, that way you can max out your money multiple times if you need to spend it, nay, 2000 is too little. We must go higher. 10,000 nuggets. You don’t get to be Champion of the league without learning how to spam full restores, but where will you get that money?
That's a really cool trick. I'll definitely do this on my next playthrough of these games (I want to 100%). We can't multiply items on this game through MissingNo, but having this trick to multiply Nuggets is incredibly useful! Specially when so many things on this game are really expensive...
Honestly once you hit the post game, you can use the VS Seeker right outside the Hot Spring and rebattle those Trainers. With an Amulet Coin equipped you can earn tons of cash. I did this while grinding levels for my Living Dex and MY GOD. The amount of money I had in no time was crazy. Edit: The Hot spring is located in Kindle Road on One Island.
@@milkyseed6396 There's another (but VERY OBSCURE & POINTLESS) trick you can do: Selphy. Basically you have to have a living dex. Maybe not complete, but at least one copy of every species seen in your pokédex. Selphy is located on Resort Gorgeous once you rescue her from Lost Cave. She works like this: She requests you show her one pokémon. Within 200 or so steps, you bring her the one she asks and she gives you an expensive item. Stuff like Star Piece, Star Dust, Pearl, Big Pearl, Rare Candy etc. But it's a Luxury Ball for the most of the time. I called this completely pointless because by the time you do this, you need NOTHING. Not money, nor luxury balls. Speaking of Luxury Balls, they are the single most useless thing in Gen3. No use outside wanting to evolve Golbat easier and wanting to max out Return damage faster.
Stuff like that is actually rather common. Most remasters are made on newer engines which means that a lot of the code needs to be updated or rewritten, that almost always ends up introducing new bugs, glitches and oversights.
As soon as I saw that, I remembered the everstone existed I think that's what it was called haven't played Pokémon since the original Diamond and Pearl
At least you can buy the game corner Pokémon now… I’m gonna do this when I play leafgreen. Do 20 a day and you’re done in 10 days. Not bad and not too boring til you start falling asleep..
lol wow now i get why they added the everstone as obtainable items towards the early game of most games. I was surprised that canceling trade evolutions didn't work
You do this exactly 73 times in FireRed and 68 times on LeafGreen to get required funds to buy Pinsir/Scyther, Dratini & Porygon. Then immediately take Dratini to Rocket Hideout, Pokémon Tower & Silph co to have it evolve into Dragonite. Then have it solo the rest of the game. Starter discussion be damned, FRLG Dragonite with Outrage is enough for everything.
I’ve done this before on my playthrough where I use lance’s champion team so I can buy 3 dratini’s and tm’s from game corner, never thought to use a self destruct Mon, always used that level 5 magikarp and let the ekans kill me. Thanks for the tip
Ah, it was because I was using that Graveler in my Living Dex playthrough and wanted to record that evolution in a higher quality. I didn't realize I couldn't stop it lol.
@@milkyseed6396 It felt like a magical moment like you were back in the Gen 1 days learning about evolution. :) but you can always get a better quality shot for the next Golem
Man I'm also doing a living dex. I have every single pokemon from Firered, Leafgreen, Colosseum, Gale of darkness, except Sudowoodoo... I apparently trade it away long ago before the challenge :s
I grinded the elite 4 so much in my pokemon ruby save that I got to max cash and then I started storing cash in ultra balls. Max cash+500 ultra balls is a lot of cash.
Uh...yea. The final time was in gameplay time, not irl time. I don't have time to sit down for 4 hours. Haha I barely have time to sit for 1 hour. Sorry for the confusion.
Nah man. I had a ton of fun doing it! I would relax with my wife and son while doing most of the grind so the time really flew. Plus I don't like using cheating devices unless I have to!
It's not really max money though, is it? You're ignoring potential money from unsold nuggets in your calculation. So really, you'd have to have maxed out money plus a full inventory of nuggets.
I did think of doing that actually but I didn't think I would need that many nuggets plus max money. After all, I went through the whole game and still had 100k left over. Maybe one day I will test my sanity and go for Max Money and Nuggets haha
To think they took untill Gen 5 for them to let you amass enough money to buy the bike Real talk, I wonder if there’s a TAS script that automates the process?
This has some deep themes about self-sacrifice, the evils of capitalism, and the realisation that the only way to beat the system is to exploit the system. Bravo!!
Is 5000 per Gold nugget-all the money loosed in the battles you have to do against him. So at minimal 200 battles if you don't sell them until you obtain that 200. If you want more money just continue and make sure you use a Pokemon that gets usefull that grind for attack EV. Which makes him even better for this
