You should totally make a matchup series. How sylv can deal with all the characters in the game. Where to DI, how to approach, what to avoid. That would be great.
The thing about the drift di tutorial is that u really have to already know how to do it for it to even make sense but for a new player they're not gonna get it
Just click on the vid and I'm already interested. Cant wait so hear what you got to say. Great vids. Lookimg forward to more topics in the rivals community
Thanks for the DI help. As a new player I will really be needing this. Also, will you be making a vid about rivals air movement or have you already done that?
@@itsrottweiler9545 Yeah that would be an interesting vid. There so much to do in the air that it's crazy. I main Elliana so I know alittle something about being in the air. Lmao
This is absolutely some of your best content. (Not that the other stuff wasnt great) Well constructed. Flows. Some humor. Punctuated and repeated the very important details for memory's sake. Great shit. Intro is sick now.
How did the algorithm know this was the exact issue i was having? i picked up rivals two or three days ago and my main problem has been getting out of disadvantage. i'm learning quickly that the distance and i-frames on airdodge are not nearly enough to break out of any meaningful combo strings like it can do in smash lol
Idk if this is me (this is somewhat unrelated) but whenever I got on exhibition I find way more sweaty people/ people that just has more time than me and such but whenever I go to ranked I can’t find a single soul
Should i get this game i love the way it looks and stuff and im going to play if safe and get this on the switch , i have a 1000$ leveno laptop (not mine) and im debating if i should get this game and i come from smash ultimate and coming to this game where it has way less people should i get it or should i get it on the laptop which i use quite a bit for smash flash 2 help please sorry for the rant
Get it for either system (Steam sales might be the persuading factor). I have it on both the Switch and PC, it is just that much better on pc. You can't go wrong getting this game that's for sure
If you can get it on pc, get it there instead. It's a great game but the net code is better on pc and pc also has the steam workshop for custom characters and a bigger community. If you can't get it for pc, you can still find matches on the switch and will still have fun.
Hitfalling is so strong and so much faster than Shuffling on whiff that if I do miss, I turn into combo food especially bcuz DI works so different in the game; after watching this video i realized down and away doesn't beat most things in RIvals like it does in Melee type games (PM, Nick, HDR, etc.) as well as the fact that Drift DI is just so completely different than other Platform fighter altogether; idk I've played Melee fighters/Wavedashers my whole life and Rivals just feels fukin hard af; you have to position so well without using aerials and having that active hitbox unless u KNOW it will hit which for me makes me not want to even play the game at all :( - Key
This game just took inspiration from a series without understanding the nuance of defensive options, I notice most if not all roa players take pride in the aggresive play in this game without understanding how rich defensive options (which this game literally throws out the window) can add and even be central to a hyperaggressive playstyle. This game also just suffers from characters being gimmicky to the point where it removes focus from the players and onto the characters, you aren't playing the characters, the characters are dictating you. It just surprises me that people can take this game seriously and even me who has been playing for at this point years. That mixed with characters that are safe on many tools that simply should not be safe, most notably setup projectiles, and the complete lack of competetive players since most concurrent players opt to play custom characters makes this game absolutely not worth it. Hopefully another platform fighter will come out to actually shake the scene and add new things to the genre instead of being an imitation of one
@@itsrottweiler9545 Yeah ive been watching lots of videos on this game for a while, the games neutral game very much encourages more hyper aggro plays since defensive options are deliriously punishible, its quite literally in the frame data. Its also ported more aggresive tech while again removing many of the more defensive options, which moves the game even further in aggresive territory. The only defensive options I see in this game are in a select few characters that are coincidentantilly top tier
@@itsrottweiler9545 and Ive also just straight up played this game for a really long time, its an extremely bold claim to say this game isn’t aggro when it was literally the design philosophy promised. Hope you’re next video does well!
I mean, rivals of aether alienates me. I tried it, and loved playing with shovel knight. But I'm not into furry stuff, and even thought is a great game, thats a big turn off ;_;
@@buffbear7890 I've played a few sonic games, and I play rivals of aether when I am really bored, its not that I dont like em, its just I wont put as much effort into a furry game as sf for example
