Incineroar really showed the missed potential this archetype of character can add to a platform fighter. Glad Rivals is making an addition of this type.

Down tilt - Zangief crouching Light kick. Dash attack - Possibly a reference to cerebella’s j2MP elbow drop. Forward Air - Possibly a reference to Hugo's Giant Palm Bomber (Claps) Neutral air - Potemkin J.D Up air - This could be a couple of things, It resembles Hugo’s Shootdown Backbreaker (DP+K), Iron tager’s Air Driver (j.360C) or Potemkin Buster in that order of likelihood. Special moves Up special is Zangief Spinning pile driver. Side Special possibly a reference to Alex's spiral DDT With the final pose being Identical to Diving Wulfdog from Beowulf. Neutral special (Chair off) is a reference to Hurting Hurl (Chair Toss) Beowulf’s signature move. Neutral special (Chair on) is a reference to Beowulf’s EX Take a Seat. Down special (Chair off) is possibly a reference to Beowulf's Wulf Press Slam. Down special (Chair on) Is a reference to Bridget's rolling movement with the chair filling in for her yo-yo. @snowcrow8784 I think once the team gets more settled into rivals 2 they'll look back at rivals workshop especially since they plan to add workshop to rivals 2 in the future
I really hope this game pops off. Rivals 2 is by the far the most entertaining platform fighter, to watch and to play. Let's go, La Reina! Mexican Ant hype!
so you're actually wrong about aerial side b being worst than grounded side b onstage, you can actually act out of it before you land, its also untechable so you get to do side b into down b, nair 1, neutral b or even dair if you're high enough. I got a kill at around 90% vs a wrastor by doing sideb into nair 1 into upsmash (this is all true), so yeah air side b is super fucking good.
Yeah as i was using it in the video I realize how insane it is and how easy it is to actually set up. Super good move whether you're using its aerial or ground version. Such a good game
I really love tech chasing and putting people in the grinder with ftilt 1 mixups. I think you're sleeping on fspecial a little. Definitely not something to use in neutral outside of a callout/mixup, but it goes the perfect distance to punish tech away, conditioning the opponent to tech neutral or in to get hit by magma boosted dstrong. And when it pops up (still not 100% on the conditions that cause that) it combos into itself on failed tech. Also: if there isn't one already someone really should start up a LoxoCord if only for theorycrafting
It would be nice if you could layer over clips of you demonstrating each tech you talk about (and gives something to watch when not much else is happening). Otherwise great vid
I’m worried about how visually noisy the graphics can be and the impacts of adding such a quick shield option but otherwise the game looks sick to play
