Honestly speaking , vaping helped me kick a 10 year smoking habit and I'm happy I had the option. Now there's a blanket ban on vapes , e liquid and spare parts in my country. Nic gum and patches didn't work for me , i think vapes for smoking cessation should be available on doctors prescription

I started vaping to quit smoking. I liked the FEEL of smoking. The feeling of inhaling something into my lungs, and expelling a huge cloud. It lasted about 4 months. A little shop opened up near me and started my journey there. But about 4 months later, vaping had gotten so complicated and the choices so abundant, it felt like I needed a god damn degree to even understand what the hell anyone was talking about. So with that, I quit vaping and never picked up a cigarette or vape ever again. Thanks annoying, hippie like, wannabe headshop owners and customers. You helped me quit!

I was a vapist, a serial vapist actually. I had one that died in a toilet-related incident (rip). Then another which I eventually stopped sucking on. Definitely was effective in helping me quit cigarettes after a wonderful 10 years of chuffing back fat darts. Now I'm just addicted to sugar like a normal person.

Still dangerous, but not even on the same scale as cigarette smoking. The comparison used was jumping off the 60th story of a building vs jumping of the bottom step of a staircase

Worked for me. Been cigarette free for several years, and quit vaping nearly 2 years ago. I really appreciate your take on it. Some people took it WAAYYYY overboard, but it IS a helpful tool to quit smoking if used properly.

I used to vape, but managed to give up by weaning myself off gradually using cigarettes. Now I can enjoy the subtle qualities of tobacco without walking round everywhere smelling like fruity fahckin' bubble gum.

The kids that say they "didn't know Juul contained nicotine!" are straight up lying. Maybe a kid who was given a hit by a friend wouldn't know it contained nicotine but anyone who had their own and hit it enough to get some sort of health issues absolutely knew there was nicotine in their Juul. I hate the parents trying to sue Juul just because their children didn't want to get in trouble and lied about not knowing that they had nicotine.

I know I'm pretty late on this but as someone who was in highschool during the teenage vape epidemic, all the kids knew it had nicotine and that's part of the reason they wanted a juul. Yes they wanted it for clout too but EVERYONE was fully aware it had nicotine. "Pass the nic" became the new phrase

I used to have to breathe albuterol everyday when I smoked. I switched to vaping, and haven't had to take a nebulizer treatment since. There is something to it

I loved this. As a person with asthma who also had recurring bronchitis as a child, I personally prefer vapists to cigarette smokers on any day of the week. Cigarette smoke (even the smell of it on somebody's clothes or furniture) makes me nauseous and can trigger an asthma attack if I'm exposed to it for more than a few minutes. But vape? I don't mind it at all. It either doesn't smell at all or smells nice, and I can breathe even when surrounded by a thick cloud of the stuff. If all chain-smokers switched to vape or other less nauseating (not to mention healthier) alternates, that would be bliss.

I have to admit those fumes e ciggs are highly addictive. I was puffin that shit like it was weed lol. I started developing anxiety and a dependency on it. So yess people stay away from that shit.

I smoked since I was 14, I vaped for the last 16 months. Down to having no nicotine in my liquids. I haven’t even thought about having a cig for the past 8 months or so. It certainly helped me kick a habit I hated for the past 17 years.

I remember being way ahead of the curve with vaping, it was great being able to explain them away as "fake cigarettes/cigars" you could use if you wanted to avoid using tabacco while filming something. It's crazy to see how ubiquitous they are now.

Whether its cigars, cigarettes, vaping or whatever comes next, the issues are always the same. The smoking group believes in the full right to destroy their bodies at the annoyance (on multiple levels) of non-smokers. Just like this video says, if there IS a profit in something corporations are going to make it look like a lifestyle and downplay any and all harm... I'm 36 and literally have never smoked a thing in my life, yet I was raised around two smoking parents and an INSANE amount of smokers throughout my life. I have noticed trends with every single person, tobacco or vape based, that they all have in their supposed, "culture": - Ego - Ego like you wouldn't believe. For men I'd say this dips into anything machismo. - Ignorance - No matter the negative points you try to bring up to the smoking crowd, they will distort the facts. When the facts become too great, they just out right deny them. - Demanding more rights - We've all worked with smokers who fully abuse break times by simply stating they, "need" more smoke breaks. When companies crack down on it they tend to whine beyond belief (it ALWAYS goes into the, "play the victim" card"). - No common decency - This is with non-vape I admit - Smokers infuriate non-smokers because they have a ubiquitous tendency to believe that the horrid stench of their product is instantly extinguished the MOMENT they put the cigarette out. We ALL know this is simply not true. The smell lingers on the breath, in the hair, clothes, in the lungs for upwards of 30 to 60 minutes and it is fucking disgusting... I cannot count how many times in my life I've been at a job and can smell a smoker from 50 feet away and they are coming back to their station NEVER seeing the issue. More likely than not, when you do say something to them they, once again, play the victim or just out right lean into it and try to breathe all over you... NO other addiction is this socially acceptable. - Feed the addiction - Above all else, the smoker will do anything to feed their addiction. Prices of tobacco or vape go up? Doesn't matter, guess I have to cut down on food... New studies come out and show how bad my addiction is? Lies, its from a bias source, or "they don't know what they're talking about". All my friends hate my addiction? They're just haters, I'll get new smoking friends --- On and on and on and on.

I used to vape daily until I got nicotine poisoning a few months ago, ended up going to the ER and although I recovered, I still get frequent panic attacks as a result, especially while driving so I have to basically chew gum every time I drive or I start panicking.

Smoked for over 20 years. Miss it everyday. Not saying vape is harmless. But from an ex smoker Hundo it’s better to vape.

I tried to quit smoking and ended up just getting my nicotine from vape. However, I am no where near like those weirdos at vape competitions, I just use a off the shelf jul type thing. Honestly, I think it's much better than smoking a pack of Marlboro reds 100 every day and I don't cough up brown shit every 30 minutes.... If they would have all out banned vapes I feel like many would have just went back to smoking.

Just a note, the black market carts also killed ppl via the metal used to solder the wires. Certain ones have a metal that produces toxic fumes when heated. It's really only an issue when buying the cheapest cartridges you can find online, usually from China, which alot of black market cart makers do.

those Blu ecigs actually helped me quit completely. they mimicked the sensation of smoking very well, and the classic tobacco flavor was just similar enough to replace it. plus I could use them inside and not stink up my apartment. over time I just didn't crave cigarettes, and now I just have some Blus lying around the place that I don't use. I don't throw them away cause if I crave a cigarette, a few drags from one of those is a much better alternative.

i smoked a pack a day for over a decade. i've not smoked a real cigarette in 5+ years and it's 100% because of vapes.

As someone who started smoking at 11 I can safely assure everyone that if a child is going to smoke, it isn't going to matter whether it tastes like a tire or a strawberry. They'll do it anyways. And vaping didn't just help me quit cigarettes, it made it so I couldn't smoke one even when I tried to; I would cough and gag and toss it less than halfway through and I'd spent the better part of a decade smoking a pack and a half of Crush bolds (rip the only menthol with a good throat hit) a day.

There was a satire page in Mad Magazine I remember as a kid that had "crazy" ideas for cigarette smokers to make it healthy. Some were crazy like a balloon that gets sucked into your lungs so the smoke never gets inhaled, but I think there were some ideas that closely mirror what finally happened. Another I remember was a metal filter cover with a tip that was in the smoke so as you smoked, it heated and started burning your lips. Wish I still had it, but water damage a long time ago. :(

Having done both I can say this, vape are for people who don't want to quit smoking but want to skip the lung cancer, I can tell you on a short term basis vapes are a million times better, however I didn't vape for 15 years straight so who knows, but I'll take a dozen flavor chems over 80 carcinogenes
