The OCG Banlist was SO SILLY

drident i think could defs be unbanned as it sees almost no play in masterduel, but saying colossus is way more splashable than drident is crazy lmao

@@shucklecopter8271 I think if someone wants to squeeze a rank 4 comparing Drident and Colossus, I think Colossus will be leaned on more because Banshee is a very flexible card with the nemeses engine for recycling purpose. Flag also gives you the access to the Archnemeses cards. Plus we don’t have Barrage anymore in the TCG too. If it were legal, different story.

@@timbitz079 look, im not trying to say drident is super good or anything, any situation where you have 2 extra bodies leftover youd just make s:p or really anything else instead of colossus or drident. however... if you insist on having this mid off, then theres no universe where colossus is a more playable generic tech option than drident. drident requires only materials for a rank4 and 2 ed slots. colossus requires at least the same, plus 2 banished cards, plus 2 main deck bricks that do hot nothing unless youre already playing. people often play generic rank4s like abyss dweller and bagooska, and every deck that plays those can at least summon drident if they want to. ive seen drident summoned in master duel in random stuff like tear and vanquish soul. ive never seen anyone play colossus (outside of thundra), in md or tcg post banlist hype, even in the very few decks that could easily make it. colossus is technically the "better" end board piece, but at best youre already going first and playing 2 bricks for a win-more floodgate. colossus does literally nothing going second, while drident at least gives you a pop and a fat zeus wipe, which is a potentially real scenario where a rough gamestate becomes winnable. sure you can "just" side the 2 bricks for going first, but why bother filling your side deck with cards that dont even win you the game on the spot? if i somehow have 2 free extra deck slots and can only choose between these 2, literally every time im putting in chakanine + drident instead of banshee + colossus + making room for 2 bricks.

OCG players don't really care about Maxx C. It's a more casual friendly format.

Never gonna happen. As an OCG player, it's a necessity over here because we have lots of Pet Deckers who play archetypes whose relevant support was printed ten plus years ago at any given locals. Given our card game culture and cheap prices, if Konami hits Maxx "C", we'll just double dip on another card game like Pokemon TCG, Digimon or One Piece which most of us Pet Deckers are playing already anyway, and ditch Yu-Gi-Oh altogether.

@@ahmedabdalla6541 No no...TCG players are the fun, quirky, different, and weird players who enjoy memes. OCG players are the serious no nonsense players who take the game seriously. OCG players clearly have Stockholm syndrome with MAXX C and simply don't know what makes a good card game.
