I love how he always almost kills them, or gets them addicted to crystal meth, and yet they keep going back to him 😂 Edit: duh! I just realized they keep going back to him BECAUSE of the free-flowing meth.
The bit at 5:40 is pure brilliance! He says exactly - syllable by syllable - what a reporter said live on TV when she was having something like a minor stroke. She’s fine, but for the actor who plays Pete to repeat that gibberish verbatim is just brilliant!
Like, the original is a frankly pretty scary clip, but Pete delivers it /so/ well. That moment of scared confusion rounded out with sincere confidence and pride is soooo good
One of the things this show did so well is they never over used the tertiary characters. You want more dr. Spaceman scenes, more Len the private investigator, etc. Those characters could've easily gotten old, but they didn't
5:40 I cant imagine how this appeared in the script... "Well a very very hevay uh hevay d'rotation tonight. We had a very derrous -- darrison? By... let's go ahead tear a station let's go the bit the heaven pit [cue happy music]"
I so wish they would make a spin off show for Dr. Spaceman. The writing on 30 Rock was so good. Every other line was a funny punch line but it advanced the story as well; just masterful comedy writing.
the background music around 3:40 is Citi Banks hold music. I got rid of them 4 years ago and it still causes anxiety of hour long waits. Not as bad as Postmates though.
I'm pretty sure "x rated cartoons" was actually on the second line, which made the interaction personal, not just professional, allowing the friendly pat on the knee to be a resonable response.
They go for the HIGHEST quality of care at the LOWEST possible cost. Or is that the other way around? I can't remember much since the incident. Speaking of the incident, I now know that a stethoscope is for external use only. Hmm. Learn something every day.
