I actually work for Amazon and we see a ton of Lodge products come through the warehouse, and I've noticed them and of course I get a hands on look at them and I have always marveled at their quality and recently I decided to take a look at the actual website and do a little research on them and for the quality the price is quite impressive, I do plan now on getting a skillet or something because they are quite affordable

@@RRaucina yeah true I mean though like most of what amazon actually sells is not directly sold by amazon it is other companies like lodge who sell things through amazon using their services and shipping them and such but you'd be surprised because most of the people who sell through amazon are not like lodge they are not like a large scale production and it is easier to do it that way otherwise they would not be able to sell enough but honestly I would not be surprised if more than half was made in the us considering how many independent people sell there

Forget all this Teflon, Ceramic and whatever Pans. THANKs to Lodge preparing my Food is not just for filling up my Stomach, NOW I enjoy it and learn more and more... :-) The Pans get better and better every timne I use them. My younger brother and amateur chef has been raving about his cast iron cookware for years. He uses his Dutch oven on our camping trips and we eat pretty damn well. I finally broke down and bought my first piece of cast iron cookware. I bought a Lodge 7-qt Dutch oven. I bought your product because of your reputation and the fact that your manufacturing is still in the USA. I'm adding a bit of seasoning to the factory seasoning right now and tomorrow I'm making a pot roast for my girlfriend. Thank you for making a fine product and keeping the business in the USA.

Yesterday I went shopping for our first cast iron cookware. I found what I wanted and was not pleased that it was made in China. But further down the aisle on the other side was more cast iron. This was made in America, and it was made here in my state of Tennessee! I put the Chinese ware back and left the store with 2 pieces of Lodge cast ware ! I am so very glad that I found you!

That was a really good tour of your foundry. I own one of your frying pans and really enjoy using it!!! But I worked in a foundry in Michigan for 10 years at the quality lab and really loved it. It's too bad most of the foundries have left the United States. It's just nice to see that Lodge has remained in the United States and not relocated outside our borders. This is a industry that should definitely stay in our country. Thank You for not relocating!!!! And for producing great cookware!!!!

I was traveling on I-24 on Sunday 8-6-2017 and saw the signs along the highway about the Lodge Factory Store. I never knew the skillets and pots were made there. I had to stop to see what they had in the outlet store.I already own a Lodge Grill Pan and Dutch Oven. I love my Lodge products. While at the store, I bought a skillet and griddle. The sales people were best ever, they made me feel at home and helped me pick what I needed. I will be back next April for the Corn Bread Festival. I love the southern hospitality.

Try Amazon if you want a great (and arguably better) made in China cast iron skillet. It's way better than the crappy ones Costco sells that aren't Lodge brand, has a smooth surface, a better handle, and better pour spout. I have one of those alongside my Lodges and they're great. Just make sure you're buying from a reputable brand who cares about quality control instead of those who don't care as long as they can manufacture things cheaply.

@@mammamiaitalia43 Ignorance on the part of the owner. Not trying to step on any toes here, but smoothing/sanding a cast iron vessel doesn't take the place of knowing how to properly season and maintain it. The 15+ pieces of my cast-iron-only-kitchen is dominated by Lodge products, all of which perform synonymously with the sanded/polished Griswold that was passed down to me from my great grandmother. Use your cast iron regularly and maintain the seasoning; you now have the secret ;)

Because it’s easier to build a smooth non-stick surface if you start with a smooth surface. I’ve owned one of these lodge preseasoned pans for nearly 20 years and never was satisfied with cast iron because of it. Then I picked up a smooth Wagner from a garage sale and saw what a difference there was in using it, so I’m going to be smoothing my “old” lodge down too (technically the youngest one in my set of 4 antiques lol). It’s one of those things of “to each their own”, some people love it and some hate it.
