Even if you have the money, limited edition cars like this usually require the owner to own a bunch of other lambos to be even allowed to waste your money on it.
I work in the auto tech infotainment field. The reason why highend cars like these tend to not have good infotainment units is because the sales volumes of these highend cars is by definition small. A lot of cost goes into the NRE for developing an infotainment system. And the returns can only come from selling a high volume of units. A highend car like this will sell several thousand units top. So most of the infotainment companies would not even bother bidding to make an infotainment like this. Lamborghini has to either develop it inhouse at a loss. Or get a crappy off the shelf solution with minimal customization, a paper thin theme skin and bugs. Now an infotainment in a car that will sell several million vehicles a year for half a decade? The companies would fight for that contract.
That makes sense but they could at least but a better chip in to so it isn't so laggy. I'm sure some of the lag is due to lack of optimization but it shouldn't be that bad.
Volkswagen could just use the same system in all their cars and only adjust it a bit for each brand. The only thing they need to change are the looks of it
Not like the prices of these cars are cheap, I refuse to accept that excuse that they are making a loss lol. They could even borrow these tech from their parent company who makes other car brands with probably much better system. And please don't let the Italians handle the electrical stuff or the design of the UI/UX. Those are their biggest weakness! They can do industrial design (although still not my cup of tea), but graphics/UI design, let somebody else handle those. PS: Talking about Italians being good at industrial design, this car is an exception to that statement lol. So ugly!
The mirror is actually part of the vehicle safety approval in some countries. If they change this, they would have to define a new model which would then need crash testing and a bunch of new approvals. By keeping it the same they can say it is a ‘variant’ of the Hurracan and can shortcut to market. It also explains things like the bolt-on lights and arches which technically happen post-production as ‘aftermarket’ fittings (by Lamborghini Ad Personam) again to avoid a bunch of approvals and regulations, which of course makes sense for a limited production special like this.

Anyway, European rules mandate every car to have a rear view mirror inside. (71/127/CEE) .
Weirdly to say... I actualy needed to hear that about the rw mirror. Thanks man. Lost my job, barely any money left to pay the next rent... Feeling the most useless i have ever been.
I feel ya bro! After Covid my life has been a living nightmare and I'm living paycheck to paycheck, just waiting for my life to get worse and be homeless again.. Florida is one of the worst states to live in FYI. Government doesn't care about you, and jobs can get away with murder so they can get kickbacks from the government! I just can't deal with the stress anymore.
What?! lol….no offense but who gives a shit about what the gov helps you with. We’re all in the same boat, work and make the best of life, don’t blame the state unless you live on Cali lol. Lived in NJ,GA,FL. Same shit, different weather.
Why don't you get another job? I'm a Nigerian immigrant in Canada so naturally I started working/schooling as soon as I got here at 17. I got laid off my first factory job after just 2 weeks so I went a few days without a job but couldn't sleep till I got another one because I knew I'd be on the streets. Working full time 11pm -7am night shifts rn but when I get that degree I know I wouldn't have to do this ever again
@@Accordaleer Try walking in my shoes or live here to understand.. I had a great job before Covid, cost of things were more reasonable! Not great, but reasonable. Working as an account manager for almost all Disney hotels for 15 years. After Covid, I was laid off (like hundreds of thousands of others), and I've been bouncing from crappy job to another as they get away with murder screwing over the blue collar worker just to save a dollar just to look good in the books at the end of each month! I work two jobs, both jobs hired me at "full time" and only give me 15-20 hours a week. So if I'm lucky I make about $400-600 a week! I apply at about 50-100 jobs a week, but almost all of them never respond. I have a girlfriend and we just had twins last year. She works part time as well. Our bills come to around $4-6,000.00 a month. Because everything is overly priced here in Florida. A house that could be considered a "government home" starts at $500,000.00, and an apartment for a two bedroom is around $2,000.00+ a month! A gallon of milk is about $6.00 a gallon. I'm an old man and the government won't help me, or control jobs (and housing prices) from f**king over the little guy!! And I have to decide to pay rent or put food on the table! And I have to look at my girlfriend cry over the situation we are in, and probably thinks of me as a looser. And some days I think my family is better off if I was dead, then alive.. I'm too old to be dealing with this s**t!!
Moving away from usual blinker lever is a terrible trend, but putting in motorcycle blinker switch is way better than Tesla's solution. Although it puts a smile on my face when I imagine super expensive Lambos riding around with blinkers on all the time, because the driver forgot to cancel them :D
Even though I prefer the Dakar Porsche, I do like seeing car manufacturers attempt to make fun versions of their car. I know even Ferrari had the 308 GTB that competed in rally racing at a time, I can only imagine which car they’d use now for an off road version.
@@marcofavaYou’re probably right, I don’t know which other modern Ferraris they’d use. Maybe the Roma…but personally, really don’t like that one. Edit: I bet the F8 Tributo would look cool wider and offroad-like.
9:09 thats how it is on all supersport motorcycles. On track thats how we do it. Actually, most all motorcycles are like that. Its the best way to keep hands on steering and look at the road at the same time driving.
I mean, the hose are harder to film, though. And he’s said he thinks people mostly watch him to see whether they should buy something, and since no one’s going to buy this, it’s not worth it??
Would've been an impossible challenge considering there's emtpy trunk space behind. Also they couldve integrated them to roof rack. That's just ugly, like. Ugly. Otherwise i kinda like it
Even if none of us will buy this car, its great to see videos like this, to be able to experience this vehicle. Dont ever hold back on making a video just because we may not buy it. I like how you are becoming more critical of vehicles you are reviewing. We like seeing praise and criticism just the same. Low key was hoping you'd make a Model Y video of my brothers Turo black model Y in Tampa. We made sure it was extra clean just in case 😃
I would have loved some silly off the road driving footage. Or even some donuts in the parking lot, I don't know. I felt like I could have had more. That said, I saw this (an orange one) last year at Goodwood Festival of Speed, and it's one of my favourite cars from then. I have absolutely no idea why it exists. I'm just so happy it does.
What I got from this video, Don't buy this Lamborghini and definitely don't buy any other Lamborghini, A perfect storm is brewing in the United States. Inflation, bank collapse, severe drought in the agricultural belt, recession, food shortages, diesel fuel and heating oil shortages, baby formula shortages, available automobile shortages and prices, the price of living place. It's all coming together and it could lead to a real disaster towards the end of this year (or sooner). With inflation currently at about 6%, my primary concern is how to maximize my savings/retirement fund of about $300k which has been sitting duck since forever with zero to no gains.
These are the conditions in which life-changing money is made by those who remain calm, patient, and take controlled risks. Volatility goes both ways. The bigger the red candles, the bigger the green ones.
The rear view mirror 🤣, Investing in stocks can be a wise decision, especially if you have a dependable trading system that can lead to successful outcomes. Personally, I've been working with a financial advisor for about a year now. Starting with less than $200K and I'm now just $19,000 away from making half a million in profit.
When ‘Laura Grace Abels ’ is trading, there's no nonsense and no excuses. She wins the trade and you win. Take the loss, I promise she'll take one with you.
Best Lambo for New Jersey roads would be the Urus. She appears to be well-educated and well-read. I ran an online search on her name and came across her website; thank you for sharing.
U will never be as useless as a rear view mirror in a Lamborghini. This is a quote Marques seriously needs to publish with a selfie of him standing by this car showing off the rear view mirror issue. Just muwah, perfect 😎
5:23 Without the air intake you can still barely see anything in the rearview mirror, due to the rear window louver. The same criticism also applies to the cybertruck with the tonneau cover, that you want to keep closed for aerodynamics.
Hilarious & Brilliant at the same time. A modern Supercar you can actually drive anywhere at any time IRL. Someone should've thought of this quite some time ago.
A while back I saw a video, I think from doug, showing that there is a gesture (3 or 4 finger drag) on any screen for the volume. Not sure if that is still a thing
It’s an ancient platform, based on the same double wishbone suspension and mid-engine chassis design that’s been around since 2014. But over the 10 years, it’s been refined and improved.
I could easily drive this daily in matte black, with comfortable seats, no stickers, no roof rack. It would look amazing and like you said it would only make noise when you push it and it would perform amazing on bad roads. Actually BETTER than the standard Huracan if you don't get the Spider and some amazing roads and views and nice weather. Not as good or as practical as the 911 as a daily driver, but much cooler as a sports car and a daily dose of novelty and drama. Also, even tho they are rare with low production numbers, they are not that hard to get, except for the price.
marques is getting really good at car reviews and im sure he’s as much a car enthusiast as any of us and for these type of wtf but really cool cars they never have to make sense, like when did anyone say they wanted the black series c63 with the massive v8 to be a bit more compliant on the road. there are great cars that check all the economical sensible and quite fun boxes then there are cars that check one box and one box only, put a smile on the drivers face while driving the crap out of it.
The exhaust valves really opening only over a certain rpm/speed is to comply with sound emissions regulations. Unfortunately this is a relatively standard behavior for many cars built recently (and by different manufacturers) that wouldn't pass sound checks otherwise.
This is one of the vehicles I used to draw and imagine as a kid. Not in Lambo form, but I always dreamed of owning an AWD 4 door car that had curves and head/tail lights that wrapped around the body with a nice lift to it and meaty off-road tires. For some reason, I only imagined it being white. I can see the Toyota Crown having a version of car like this. It already has the build and ground clearance.
It seems like a beast of a machine but I totally agree about the lacking software. They should really upgrade it to match the overall high-end feel of the car.
