Woke up with song in my head. Just had to sing it out loud. Sometimes we just have to sing His praise. Somebody understand what I'm talking about. Good Friday morning
im here because our pastor died last sunday and this is his favorite song :( we miss you pastor we loveyou thankyou for your 19 years of your service in our Beloved church… PPM❤❤❤
I ask anybody and everybody that reads this to pray for my son. His name is Cody. Hes been in prison for almost 4 years for a crime he DID NOT commit. But because our DA is corrupt they refuse to admit they were wrong! Please raise Codys name up in prayer to our Heavenly Father for a release from that prison. Cody has been baptized. Hes just needs a team to help pray for him. I thank you all who will send prayers for him. I love you all and may God bless you in abundance!!❤❤❤
Thank U Lord for loving me so much that you died for me. And thank U for saving me. Where would I have been if you didn't safe me. I will cling to that old rugged cross and exchange it someday for a crown. Thank U Lord. Forever grateful. Love You so much my Savior.
Allow Gods word to enhance your Love. Makes the songs you sing that much more meaningful. Songs should not replace what is spoken in His Word. But they should help enhance what God's message for us in the sacrifice he gave for us to accept us into his family through his Son.
I was serving a 30 years sentence in prison for wilful murder. Because of that old rugged cross, i was set free after serving only one year and six months. I will Cling to that old rugged cross until Jesus comes.
Thank you Jesus because through this song I have realized that I don't belong to this world and without the rugged cross I can't see my Lord Jesus Christ after my race on this earth
This was my mother's favourite song and she just passed on 15 November 2020, when I listen to it I still remember the joy in her spirit when she sang it. May her beautiful soul continue resting in eternal peace.
My condolences on your mom’s passing! 💐 I lost my dad about two months ago to Covid, so I know the pain of losing a parent. May the Lord comfort you in your time of grief! ❤️
@@AbenaANuako Hi dear.. Bible says dust will go back to the dust.. My mom too died,.. She is in a deep sleep in the dust.. When Christ comes the second time, those who sleep in the dust will rise..
My father passed away yesterday. .we had the nurse to play it for him .it's his favorite hymn. She said it calmed him down .we couldn't be there because of covid. 😢
Listening to the song on Good Friday today. You died years ago but I can feel it happening right now. The pain and agony You went through. It reminds us of the price You paid for our sins. You died that we may live. Help us to live a life worthy of Your great love for us.
Hello how are you doing today and the entire family and friends doing today I really enjoy listening to oldies song with mom and dad even momma love it more........ Oh oldies is life
This song brings tears to my eyes. This was my maternal grandmother's favorite hymn. I can hear her singing the song as we sat together in our little church each Sunday. I miss her so much.
Listening to this song today on Easter thinking of how God truly loves us.his love and mercy are forever. I will forever cling to the old rugged cross 🙏🙏
To walk with the Lord we MUST be “BORN AGAIN.” John 3:7. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye MUST be BORN AGAIN. God`s formula for being BORN AGAIN Is: Acts 2:38. Then Peter said unto them, REPENT, and BE BAPTIZED every one of you in the NAME of JESUS CHRIST for the REMISSION OF SINS, and ye shall RECEIVE THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST. 1: Repent. 2: Be baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ, for the remission of sins. 3: Receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost. The one and only evidence that a man is BORN AGAIN, is that He can accept the “SPECIFIC WORD OF GOD FOR HIS DAY.” In this Scripture we are told that the Lord Jesus Christ must REMAIN in Heaven until the times of RESTITUTION OF ALL THINGS, Acts 3:20 + 21. 20. And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: 21. Whom the heaven must receive until the times of RESTITUTION OF ALL THINGS, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began. The word “RESTITUTION” means “RESTORE.” The Lord stated that He would send HIS END TIME PROPHET to “RESTORE” the Word of God, as the Apostles knew it. Matthew 17:11. And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elijah truly shall first come, and RESTORE ALL THINGS. And also..... Malachi 4:5. Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet BEFORE the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. This Elijah prophet comes BEFORE, “The coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord,” which happens in this day. We are now living in the last days, God has kept His word and sent that prophet, thereby “RESTORING” His word to His Bride. God has raised the dead on FIVE occasions through His chosen vessel. God was photographed SIX times, (Veiled in the form of the Pillar of Fire) with His chosen vessel. www.williambranhamstorehouse.com/pdf_downloads/the%20supernatural%20halo%20photograph.pdf The, “Elijah anointing,” (Concerning the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ) is used “TWICE.” The first time 2,000 years ago, when God sent John the Baptist, then AGAIN in this day. At each, “Coming of the Lord,” there is an Elijah prophet who precedes that, “Coming.” Jesus said concerning John the Baptist. Matthew 3:3. For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Elijah, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. John, “Prepared the way for the Lord,” John did NOT “Restore anything,” as that which would need to be restored, (The full understanding of the whole Bible,) had not yet been given. These and other “Prophetical scriptures” brought to pass: Malachi 4:5. Matthew 17:11. Revelation 10:7. Revelation 3:14. Revelation 1:16 - 20. Revelation 2:1. Revelation 3:1. God`s Chosen Vessel is William Branham. Watch this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0Ax-wN1lpn4.html Watch this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2xGjb2Fc5PQ.html
Yes, things aren't moving the way I expected, my mother labored and suffered to see us through in life, unfortunately she wasn't alive to eat the fruit of her womb. I fall and get disappointed but I won't give up. So far Jesus suffered and died to save me. I will cling to the rugged cross and exchange it someday for a crown.
I don't believe these 520 people don't like this song . I am so wonder if they been taught about the Atonement of our Loving Savior Jesus is the Christ the son of God, he fulfilled the Plan of Salvation for them and for all of the world, so they can have a chance to go back to our Heavenly Father Presence ...So I'll cherish the old rugged cross, Till my trophies at last I lay down I will cling to the old rugged cross. And exchange it some day for a crown...Thank you Jesus for the Sacrifice you done for me and my family.
This is my mother-in-law's favorite song. She's with Jesus now. And every time I hear this, I think about her. We were very close and I look forward to seeing her again up in Heaven! ❤❤❤
Hello how are you doing today and the entire family and friends doing today I really enjoy listening to oldies song with mom and dad even momma love it more
It doesn’t matter the pain, it doesn’t matter the shame. Sometimes I’m standing, sometimes I’m falling. Sometimes it even feels like I cannot get to the end but with this song in my heart and mind I know it is well. I will cling to the old rugged cross and exchange it someday for a crown 🤴.
Reminds me of a very faith trying yet wonderful time in my life. I was 19 to 20, living in a campsite in Australia. All I had was about 80 dollars, a tent and some small foods, beans, bread and water. I was poor financially but I was so rich in Christ! Hallelujah! Daily in his presence is the richest thing in life 😇✝️
Most beautiful, meaningful song ever. I can still her GRANDMA singing this as she was very religious and truly loved GOD. Most wonderful person. Soft spoken marvelous singer. You are BLESSED.
Hello how are you doing today and the entire family and friends doing today I really enjoy listening to oldies song with mom and dad even momma love it more
This song will always remind me of my late dad. He used to sing this song during our road trips. They then played this song during his funeral. Some time later, they played this at church and I just broke down in tears and buried my face in my palm while seated on one of the pews. RIP dad
Also reminded of my family members who have passed on, we used to sing this song as family. I hope you are healing well, till you meet your Dad in heaven. Be blessed 🙏🏽🤗💖
Thank you Jesus for this song. I am always reminded by it that there is no crown without cross. Jesus help me to lighten my yoke daily by giving me strength to bear my cross willingly because the prize is priceless.
WE ALWAYS SUNG THIS SONG AT PRAYER MEETINGS AT MY GRANDMA'S HOUSE IN THE 60'S... SHE WAS NOT ABLE TO GO TO CHURCH, SO WE BROUGHT THE CHURCH TO HER HOUSE, BLESSINGS AMEN.
My children didnt learn to appreciate these songs now, but that God would provide a way that they could and would return to Him His way. I, too, need to be renewed and learn unconditional love. Even now, Lord, i ask.
I just woke up this Morning was singing the sing in my mind, so i decided to listen to it, What a Song! Hallelujah i will lay down my trophies at last!!! For a Crown. Thank Jesus for saving me from my Sins. Thank you for guving me an Everlasting Hope in you
This song always reminds me of my gran... now 93 and close to going to be with the Lord... I can still see her in the lounge, playing the vinyl record on her well used turn table, raising her hands and praising the Lord... teach your children in the ways of the Lord and they will never depart from Him.
My mother just went home to be with Jesus. This was her favorite hymn. My nephew came to her door and sang it to her for Mother's Day one year and she cried. I am looking up some of her favorite songs in the wake of her death. She is free now! I thank the Lord for taking her home and she no longer has to struggle here on earth. They want my nephew to sing it at her memorial service and are asking my other nephew to play it on the piano.
1Corinthians2:2 I'm sorry of your loss of a friend. I lost someone special 5 years ago. The Lord took him home. Everything will be alright. Someday the whole family will be back together again. I keep you in thoughts and prayers for you and your friends and family. God Bless You with a blessed day today.

While I spend the summer in jail, this song got me through. I understood God a little more at the end of that hard journey. I cling to my old rugged cross now. "I will cling to the old rugged cross and exchange it someday for a crown." I love the Lord and pray for all of you children of God.
Praise God for His Love to us my Sister, He is my reason the only reason I can stand to go on in this prison life. I pray you are well and happy, keep on walking with this sweet King of kings this the Creator Jesus Christ who became flesh so to die for us and bring us Home to His arms when our time is called! Much love, respect, rebecca
This will be played over and over with me. My mom would smile when I played it for her.. JESUS Called her home Friday and I will spend eternity with her when the LORD calls me home. Thank You.
This was my Grandma's favorite song. On her dieing bed in 2008 she requested that we sang it for her before she left. Just hearing it reminds me of her, and I'm trying to live as God wants me so that I can see her again when he comes back❤

My dad use to play this on our piano and sing the hymn. I fondly, remember it and often brings a tear to my eyes ( especially singing it in church on Good Friday). My dad loved the Lord. Praise God.
I'm getting old now, sitting with my children a blessing later in life. But this old hymm took me to that smooth pine pew, sitting at my mother's side, when God's love touched my skin and I knew He is real.

Exactly 1month now that played this song continuously, I count it a great privilege this morning and not taking this for granted this is exactly 1 month that they paid the high killers to wipe away my husband and my life on this planet Earth! But I cling to the old rugged cross and the great GOD came to prove them that the earth remaineth the LORD and the Fullest Thereof! Ooh GOD, the protocol Breaker, the Lord who was and is forever to you alone be all glory forever and ever! I'm ever grateful Father!!
This was one of my Dad's favorite hymn..and it was played during his funeral service along with six others💐💐 i am fervently waiting for the day I would listen to it in his presence 😢
My wife and I list our son to addiction he died in the floor of our home. The pain and emptiness is an undesirable pain. We tried to go to our pastor for prayer comfort understanding. He completely turned his back on us. He never called never sent a card . Today I cry endlessly and miss and love him every day. I live in a world of emptiness and pain I cannot describe
May the comfort, healing and peace of God surround you and your wife. May the depression leave you and your home right now in the name of Jesus. Put your trust in God’s mercy, grace and love my brother. Pastor or whoever they are humans and make lots of mistakes they are not better than us. May the Lord himself give you peace and protect you in Jesus' name. Forgive and release them for Jesus’ sake ❤ I pray that I hear you and your wife are comforted in the Lord
May the grace and love of our Lord be with you and your family. May his precious blood redeem, cleanse, justify and sanctify you and your family including the departed. In Jesus name, May you be healed. Praise the Lord. Alleluia. ❤
After 2 years l finally memories this song, and l sing it any time l want specially when I feel sad and scared for everything that's going on in the world, Corona virus God bless
What an amazing God we serve. Lord Jesus, you suffered the pain, suffering and shame on that cross for all mankind. The lyrics makes me to shed tears and could not even see the lyrics clearly. How, Jesus would have carried the heavy and rough cross on his back, bare feet on Calvary. Folks there is no time for tomorrow, lets look to Him today, He is all merciful and forgiving God. Bow before Him and don't be ashamed to share the word and love of Jesus to everyone. If you have the talent use it for his glory so that other people can draw closer to Him. He will crown us for the good works we do on earth today. Pray for missionaries. Thank you all.
+startwinkle9 Praise the Lord who never failed in His promises to love us unconditionally. May we continue to feel and hear Him through each other's words. Your words are almighty Lord and it pierces the soul and spirit. Glory forever and ever. Amen
Jesus paid it all. I cant stop crying listening to the song over and over again, the lyrics so powerful. Jesus keep me at the cross on this Easter Good friday now and forever. Amen 🙏🏽 ❤
