The Old World returns! Join us as we embark upon a new adventure into Warhammer Fantasy. We begin with the Spider leading the Tomb Kings of Khemri against Beard and The Empire of Man!
Upon this blasted realm, the monarchs of the undead have awoken, driven forward by their undead ruler to reclaim their rightful dominion over the kingdoms of the living. Following their Tomb King into battle, the skeletal warriors of Khemri serve their Lord even in death, supported by giant constructs given unlife by the Mortuary Cult. The army of the undead will stop at nothing to reclaim what is rightfully theirs.
Standing in their way however, is the fractured, but mighty Empire of Man. Led by their brave General, disciplined ranks of State Troops and Demigryph Knights lead the charge towards the innumerable swathes of the undead. Flanked by powerful war machines, stoic War Priests and mystical Wizards, the might of the Empire must endure the oncoming assault of the damned with firepower and cold steel.
Will the Empire of Man crumble under the inexorable ranks of the Tomb Kings, or will the legion of the dead be sent back to the sands once again…

Seeing people play a version of Fantasy again is great, I really hope Old World gains enough momentum to return us to the glory days. Even with the soft launch GW is doing there seems to be a ton of excitement around it.

Vermintide II was my entry point into any kind of Warhammer, and I've played hundreds of hours of Total War Warhammer with my friend. So to see the Old World on tabletop is very very cool. Looking forward to seeing more battle reports on here, and I'll be trying very hard not to buy a High Elves army in the meantime 😅

Vermintide 1 and Total War Warhammer 1 peaked my interest in playing Warhammer again after i was a little lad. Unfortunately my group of friends back then wanted to play 40k and not AoS so i bought a lot of Tau, Marines, Sisters and Drukhari. Then Corona hit my group like a truck and most of them either left the city or had no money to play again, but then my interest in playing the old Cities peaked and i bought some kits which i can now use in Old World (especially: my 2 Volley Guns :D). My hobby journey is coming full circle and i can now play what i wanted to play in the first place: Warhammer Fantasy. :D

I have never in my entire 23 years of playing Warhammer seen a better Battle Report. The production value on these is through the roof, the jokes are just stupid enough to be fully entertaining while not breaking immersion at all and the fact that you actually read pretty much all the rules out loud just helps so much, seeing as how we're all still learning how to play TOW. You guys are absolute goddamn gentlemen and your armies are unfathomably sexy. Thank you. I can’t wait to to get mine on the tabletop! Also looking forward to crashing Brettonian Lances into into the flank of my best friend’s Dwarfs on the 20th. That’s going to be our first game. We both have a three day weekend to attempt 2-3 games per day, much to our wives dismay. (Not really, they’re happy their middle aged husbands are “Getting a new game for their toys”).

@@Stonehorngood luck on the 2-3 games, the set up alone can take a while... but it truly is worth the effort. 4th edition fantasy was my first foray into wargaming and I've played all sorts of games since. To say I am overjoyed at it's return as well as an opportunity for a whole bunch of people to experience that joy for themselves is an understatement.

Quick tip for the Hellblaster, if you roll 3d6, and double the value, it's the same as an artillery dice. 6s are misfires!

Alas we only own TK, Empire and some Beastmen atm. We're working on some Bretonnians, and looking at converting some of our existing Sigmar armies for use in Old World. Alas no Elves, Dwarves or Orcs on the horizon, but perhaps one day!

Fun video, and good to see an army other than Brettonia & Tomb Kings! Quick note (to go with everyone else saying it...) "Attacks Last" sets Inititive to 1, but you still get charge bonuses added to it. Stomps & decapitating strike happen at the same time. :)

Cool! I used to watch a lot of Tabletop Tactics back in 2017 when I got back into the hobby with 8th ed 40K, even got a couple of T-shirts and a dice set with the logo. :) Then as I lost interest with 40K I haven't watched in 5 years, I went to Warhammer Fantasy and now you are here too! Nice. Oh and Lawrence, you are such a stickler for quality that I had ordered a t-shirt from you but you had just used a new supplier and you felt the product wasn't high quality enough so you sent me another t-shirt from a better supplier so I got 2 for the price of one, but now having worn those t-shirts for 5 years - they are both still in just as good a condition! Still, that was a king move to make, thank you very much. Can't wait to see more Old World!

That was epic! So many cinematic moments, from the initial volley of flaming arrows doing nothing against the skeletons (you could picture the trepidation building among the Bretonnian rank) to the lone monk holding up a flank. Lovely atmosphere both at the table and on it.

So happy to see most of the changes to the Tomb Kings! Looking through the rules there are so many tweaks to rules that hurt the army in 8th. Necrotect having their buffs last until your next turn alone is enough to make the worth taking.

I think it's Bretonnia vs Tomb Kings because both factions didn't survive the transition to Age of Sigmar, so they became representative of old Warhammer Fantasy as a whole.

God I’m so glad Fantasy is back. I started with the launch of 4th edition with my best friend, we’ve been playing ever since, but the last 8 years were a rough time bouncing between 5th, 6th, 8th and WAP. We rarely had an opponent besides each other, getting to travel for the odd tournament just to play other people. It’s going to be nice to see a new community come in. I have 11 armies and he has 9, we cover them all including Chorfs (but not dogs of war) so we can tempt curious AOS fans from our local clubs with being able to let them try whatever army they want. Hey little war gamer! Would you like some Square Candy? For the Lady!

My first time watching one of your batreps and i loved it. Clear explanations for the rules and you seem like a lovely bunch of guys! Brilliant editing job and the special effects added a great bit of spice you don't usually see on these things. The only few rule problems i spotted were mostly cancelled out by bad dice rolls (cannons can't shoot through monsters on turn one for example). The only thing that you got consistently wrong and would perhaps have changed the battle a bit was that you decide if you want to restrain or pursue BEFORE the flee roll is made not after. There were a few Tomb king pursuits that i feel like only happened because the empire rolled badly on the dice. Still its early days and we are all only just picking up the Old World rules. I will definitely be following this channel and look forward to seeing more in the future.

I would love it if GW would re-launch some old models and update them. I would love to see modern sculpts of the Tomb Kings. They are one of my favorite factions to play in total war and their models in that game look so good, would be great to see them renewed.

When Age of Sigmar was getting popular in my area I picked up a bunch of Empire stuff for cheap/free (when they were "Free People" in AoS), so I'm definitely interested to try them out in Old World. I knew roughly how WFB worked but it's nice to see some actual gameplay.
