LN Reader. I’m not gonna spoil or anything. But can guarantee you, if they follow the Novels or Manga, the will be a golden goose egg. World building is immaculate, and they don’t just focus on MC, it truly be like OPM and sometimes cuts away from the MC’s group for a while to focus on other students. And yeah. People die…. a lot. I will say that the part in the beginning was part of the LN’s after stories, we get one after story each volume. So we’ll be seeing quite a lot more scenes like it in the future of the series. And holy shit, the world building expands not only to this other world, but to Earth as well. Enjoy it.

Unironically my favorite piece of Japanese media. The MC has no limitations and can just kill anyone instantly no matter how strong. It sounds boring, but the comedy alongside the background arc make it amazing. The world building and villains are also amazing.

instant death magic does exist in that world but Yogiri ability aren't instant death magic and calling his ability _instant death_ is an understatement 😂😂😂

So one thing to note as a light novel reader: the author made this as a satire of most Japanese media and genres. They cover Isekai of every trope, mock rom coms, spoof action and horror manga etc also when you understand the MC and what his powers entail it becomes rather metaphysical and cool.

I'm sorry that I have to break it up to you and this sounds very inappropriate but... On that bus, what killed the dude was the Dragon's... "You Know What"... You may think I'm lying, but they shouted it out in the manga. Thank you animators for censoring that explicit scene 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I definitely wanna keep watching it, it’s funny and was way more gorey than I’d expected, plus it seems an interesting backstory is going with the main character. Also, extra points because the opening and ending are pretty good songs

This is a funny animate. Unfortunately, a lot of people are misunderstanding it because of the title. So glad to know you are enjoying it. Regarding the metaphor of "One Punch Man "and "My Instant Death Ability is So Overpowered" , I think it's very apt.

One of the few animes that hooked me just with the first episodes. What keeps me entertained here is that , not the usual way where they develop their abilities and they're getting stronger and stronger, in here, he's already powerful and I love how I'm just seeing how strong he is and learning how it works every episodes.

Well, The characters are goofy and silly on purpose, this is a comedy afterall, his indifferent attitude is a part of his shtick...

I love how subversive the show/LN/manga is towards anime and isekai tropes Tired of these big, flashy, over the top fights that take forever to finish? Not only are his kills instant, they are completely unspectacular. Isekai slammed for being a wish fulfillment with waifus from another world? Yogiri doesn't care about the otherworld people much, the only friends he has are people from his home world. Don't like how unlikable the assholes are that run roughshod over Isekai? The bulk of people getting killed - not just by Yogiri, mind you - are isekaied prodigies trying to flex their power on others. Some face non-lethal yet similarly overpowered humiliation/punishment.

Sasaki to Pii-chan goes under the radar this season too, didn't see anyone talk about it yet but it feels like a mix between peddler in another world and the to aru series

This series is the second one set in the same universe by the author. The stories aren't connected though. The antics that they get up to and their backgrounds are fascinating. It also later explains why they are so unfazed. I just finished the novel series and am looking forward to how they animate it.

I wasn't planning to watch this show but the 1st episode got me hooked in instantly 🤣 The MC priority to play video games instead of caring about the situation was so silly 😂 Hope one day, a fan animation of Yogiri vs Saitama will make 🙏🏼 No doubt it will be amazing 😌

Glad like you like the show! This show is like fascinating worldbuilding + trash side characters occasionally attempt to make serious plot line but you know, MC knows, and the author knows from the very beginning whatever stakes they’re trying to raise is useless. Everyone is in the joke and just enjoy the goofy ride And it’s a bit refreshing to see our MC and the girl despite having such unfathomable op power, thinks somewhat like a normal person, avoiding boring dramas. The show tiptoes along the line of some tropes where you’d roll your eyes and think “well here it comes again” but then it gives you a pleasant surprise.

This will be somewhat hard to adapt because a lot of the chapters focus on (1) some of the other students (especially Hanekawa) and (2) the Uber-powerful sages and gods trying to figure out the MC’s deal while he is offscreen.

Yogiri's don't compare to one punch man's ability, no hate, saitama has op strength but yogiri has op ability and I GUARANTEE it is THE MOST OP ABILITY OF ALL ANIME HISTORY, he is absolute, I don't even think there anymore anime characters that can spar to him in any fight, like in a game of 1v1 in anyform of games, it's like being one shotted everytime you've revive might as well unistall the game, i just watch first ep, i give up finding weakness bros thoughts are absolute

I had this show on my list from the start and it didn't disappoint. This MC duo might be my favorite this season. Anyone who can kill with a thought is someone I don't want to piss off - just ask the two idiots who were killed. The worldbuilding here is great and I want more. I'm going to like this one big time. Overall, Thursday might be my favorite day of the week but I'll wait until the rest of the shows in this season get going.

I read the novel for reincarnated as a slime, misfits, instant death etc and trust me, the Mc for this is even more broken than them. Just wait until they get into the lore, he is broken asf. He isnt really a human. His basically like the concept of the end of everything in human form. His true form is like an eldrich god from the Cthulhu mythos or an scp in human form. His powers aren’t limited to killing living things. He can literally kill inorganic matter, laws, concepts etc. mfer literally kill the concept of momentum in the novel just to stop himself from falling 😂.

After watching the first episode I now understand why I did not get past the first chapter of the manga. The reason being that all the characters (students) are so calm about just getting transported to another world and having their teacher and bus driver killed right in front of their eyes. The girl says something about being chill in this situation to the MC while being chill herself, two of her classmates just died right in front of her and it doesn’t seem to bother her at all. Edit: I will probably watch a few episodes more, but I will probably stop watching at around episode 6 (if the plot or something else doesn’t change)

agreed. Its a straight up comedy with a twist, and the twist is that you literally gave a kid a very OP weapon right at the starting gate, and all he did was ram it right through. At lest we know that the kid has morals and values, its just that it not really there unless he or a close friend is legitimately threaten. The story itself is interesting because, you have a world where being isekaied is a norm. So now its telling me that its time to take out the garbage that should not be in this world, and looks like it got started with the three idiots. And sure enough, the three little rapists got what they deserved. Starting with the "Braver" Class first and then the "Necromancer" next, and finally a slow death for the "Healer". Now that's fun indeed! and the Hero, not even bothered nor even flustered. He just went about his business and finished the job, while the girl, she his emotional satchel for him, while she expresses it for him. Now what 'm really forward to is him instant killing either the Sage or that wanna be "Emperor". Really looking forward to that i hope. Until then, Enjoy!! Otheriwse its a good comedy series so far

I'm glad I checked it out. I said it could be generic but it's far from being a generic overpowered isekai. It's funny and it took the aspect of a standard isekai and flipped the script. I think the comedy saved it and the mixture of light hearted and dark tones. Like you start the episode with a flashback of this man as a child and he just kills this woman who was holding his caretaker, (I'm assuming) hostage. And then you switch to them in the bus getting... Well, I heard that that wasn't actually the tail of the dragon so you can run wild with what you think it was that got them. And I kinda understand the censorship a little xD. But it's insane how this woman sage just strolled up killer their teacher and then when she gets pissed off for people not listening to her, she kills the bus driver too. Just to proove a point... Bloody hell. But the classmates were even worse. The people who didn't get the battle song she gave them were basically fuc*ed. They left them for dead as a damn distraction. If it wasn't for our boy which by the way, that ability... Broken asf. I think he is the most overpowered anime character to exist. And that's something considering you got Saitama, Goku, Anos, Rimuru ect. This guy might actually win it all and I can't believe someone actually wrote an overpowered character like this. I'm almost debating on if it's legal 😂. But he just casually beats the dragon and sits back to play video games. He was so unhinged about his dead classmates and even the people he killed afterwards. Ngl... They deserved it for being creeps. The fat guy can stay as a slave because he might be useful. This man said he saved her ass because her boobs were soft 😂 I wish I could say that with a straight face like his because that shit is hilarious. I'm also liking the pacing. This episode would have been the first 10 minutes in another anime because studios like to rush things to get to the good parts but if they do take their time with this one, it might actually be a damn good watch. I'd say this is the biggest surprise of the season... Say what you want but this show is actually starting off good. The art and animation is not bad either. The opening and ending are really good too. Like the vibes of both so overall really good start and hopefully they can keep up this quality and see where this journey takes us because it has some interesting world building and character potential too. SPOILER! So far in the light novel, there hasn't been anyone that can tank the instant death ability. Also, instant death ability is not the same as instant death magic.

The Best Discription I can give this Manga after reading everything is Peak ANTI-Climax. Worldbulding is pretty much the only part that is serious here, the rest is goddamm funny as frick especially once you realise that the MC is a SCP Eqivalent on Earth and that the Foundation actually let him go once they realised they couldent hold him as a child.

MC wasn't motivated until the FMC held on to him. Speaking of the FMC, her eyesight is something snipers would be jealous of. The mage disregarding the notion of "instant death magic," really says a lot about her.

Same here, I was going to skip it just based on the title and image, but I gave it a chance and I'm glad I did. This is pretty good and has some serious potential.

Small detail from the opening: Did you notice that instead of characters appearing, they disappearing instead, during the opening song. Really fitting for the theme of the show. This show has mediocre budget but it's gonna be fun, just like Saiki Kusou. Good anime don't necessarily need big budget.

Bookwalker and I don't know how many manga reading sites recommended me this series about a hundred times before one day I said "Ok, let's give Generic Isekai 1052 a try". And the rest is pretty much what Brandon just said. First, I like even tempered characters that don't get fazed by zilch. Second, incidental comedy that feels like they were building the plot on a drunken night saying "Ok, now what happens next" can be hit or miss, but when they hit... This jewel is what we get. In short, this series is for me the equivalent of one of those downloads from a sketchy website. This goddess, sage, whatever, just invited to her world a literal walking BUG in the system that can terminate things with a thought, who gives zero fucks, and is just doing his thing and takes "rational decisions" based on whatever weird logic works in his head. And we got two of them... Mr. Instant Death Yogiri, and Dannoura-san, his... "fluffy motivation" (best justification EVER). Then there is the confrontation with the three douches and how he handles Fat Bastard. "See that forest? Go wait inside". I died there. Just because of that scene I binged the manga and added the novel to my Bookwalker wishlist. It is that fun. And anyone going in blind into this series has no idea just how much chaos this pair can unleash upon that hapless world.

the first person who “resisted” his death sentence was someone who set up a clone of themselves, without any memory, and leave a video recording to tell the clone who they are. the clones that actually have memories was considered the extension of themselves, so they all die. that powerful.

14 volumes of the light novel reader here...episode 1 was a near 1:1 of the maybe the first 60ish pages of volume 1...if it stays on this track it will be one of the better ones...oh yeah next couple of episodes gonna have you like 🫨

Seems like our MC might have come from this world or was implanted from this world and seems like Girl Sage might be big bad or she preparing the others for something worse. Still the way all thos clasmastes just turn on the group that did not have abilaties show that power corupts

This came just at the right time since the Novel translation is done now. Like literally the series is finished. As for resisting his ability... impossible. Although, what's the point of the sensor? Like really, why? We've had worse.

I'm giving it two more episodes to win me over otherwise i'm out. There's just too much airing each season now and the MC is just really not doing it for me. His personality is as meh as meh gets and maybe it gets better so here's hoping. Also the instant death thing unless having some kind of limitation is going to get really dull real fast. There's zero urgency if the MC can think anyone into the grave or insta kill due to sensing blood lust. It's also pretty cliche that all the students instantly became uncaring pieces of shit immediately after getting their powers. Even the one girls best friend leaves her for dead. This has been the weakest new show i've seen thus far and we'll see if it picks itself up over the next two.

As far as I expected this anime to be, or hoped rather, it's a massive disappointment so far. The pacing is already jacked up in episode 1. The animation is bottom barrel generic isekai effort. They're fucking with the script to vary from the original work, which is messing with the delivery of certain scenes. And all this in like what is only covered in the first two chapters. it's setting a real bad expectation for the whole cour. I'm not expecting a JJK effort but like at least Overlord tier or something. Instead I'm getting like smartphone vibes.

I just hope the mikochi girl gets what she has coming for leaving her best friend to die on the bus that was some shitty stuff

I think we're off to a good start with this anime. I think the "returners" concept was handled really well, and we have both a sage that seems to be a villainess and a mystery of how our male MC got his "instant death ability"--I think he might have been isekai-ed before as well or you could be right that he was originally from this fantasy world. In addition, looks like there could be some sparks of romance between our two leads. I hope the healer dude who had been there before doesn't die from the forest monsters, cause I think he could act as a good guide and informant, and he would be someone else to play off of the two lead characters. Also, while this MC does have an OP ability, I think it's still questionable just how OP it is at range. Anyways, I'm looking forward to the next episode and hopefully finding out more about our leads and the world in general.
