I don’t think Elijah Wood gets enough credit for showing just how evil, sinister, and manipulative the One Ring is. You can tell throughout the whole trilogy Frodo is constantly struggling (mentally and physically) against the Ring’s will with great difficulty, and is horrified as his mission with Sam continues! And this trilogy is still a masterpiece in 2023 :)
I think that Frodo got nerfed if we compare the movie version to the books version, but it was still good and Elijah Wood was perfect and it’s sad to see that many people hate that version of Frodo .
@@Howlingburd19 I know. I was a foolish child haha but as I rewatched the film and also got older I fully understood. He really manages to convey the pure burden of the ring. It’s not just a little trinket on a necklace it’s like a cannon ball around his neck, dragging him to darkness. Fantastic trilogy. Timeless.
To me this theme perfectly captures temptation… it almost sounds likes it’s asking “what if you give in?” Begging whoever encounters it to find out the answer, or if not then to forever haunt them, forever asking themselves “what if I had?”

Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky, Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone, Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die, One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie. One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them, In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie. - Original Ring poem It began with the forging of the Great Rings. Three were given to the Elves, immortal, wisest and fairest of all beings. Seven to the Dwarf-Lords, great miners and craftsmen of the mountain halls. And nine, nine rings were gifted to the race of Men, who above all else desire power. For within these rings was bound the strength and the will to govern each race. But they were all of them deceived, for another ring was made. Deep in the land of Mordor, in the Fires of Mount Doom, the Dark Lord Sauron forged a master ring, and into this ring he poured his cruelty, his malice and his will to dominate all life. One ring to rule them all. - Galadriel's version
This is so hypnotising with Cate Blanchett's voice, she was just too good as Galadriel and I wish she had more scenes... And I kinda wish that everyone had more scenes - that movie was even longer than director's cut...
What the scariest part is that there’s almost no hint of anything sinister in the song. It promises beauty, glory, and even some form of peace. And that’s how it gets you. There’s nothing obvious in its sinister intentions. And it’s why no one can use it.
Yeah no, diminished V that strings play over the main chord (Fm) sounds pretty sinister. And then, in the very next chord, before you know it, it's just natural V. It's like you just got your perception messed with.
@@winz3318 I think they are saying that because they are probably getting confused with something like LoL or something, or they think your below them because your a geek or something idk
Idk i stopped doing it cus all of the people i mostly play with are already so conditioned to the lotr themes that we cant think about anything else after we recognize a tune
