Fizzi really will go down as a GOAT community member of melee. He has made the single most impressive contribution to this community. We owe him so much (so support his pateron). Great video, awesome edit. People seem to forget that we had some sick ass moments online.

shoutouts to the newer upcoming players who rose up during the online era: Tyler Swift, KoDoRiN, Aklo, Logan, Ben, 2saint, Soonsay, BBB, Polish, and many others. They kept the game's meta and scene going and growing through one of Melee's darkest times, and they'll be the future of as we enter our next era.

There are so many good Melee content creators right now, but I’m especially happy whenever a new C0rnflake pops up.

One thing I will say is props to ludwig, for hosting LACS, and making proceeds towards charity, basically telling Nintendo to back the back off. He was ready for the lawsuit to see us still play the game and that’s insane to me

This made me realize how great of an era it actually was as a spectator. Seeing new rivalries rise, new players getting access to the top level, players in general getting better than ever at an insane pace, having some old players struggle and therefore creating new narratives. And seeing this era end with summit 11, leaving room to what felt like a new start, from the ashes. It's been a great time that we were all happy when it ended. What a great video to emphasize this. Also big thanks to Fizzi, the community owes you so much. You helped us in so many ways during this year.

Slippi took a period of time that likely could have regressed melee and just absolutely shoved that idea in the ground and literally boosted the level beyond what was even possible.

SCL was so good you got old dogs like Mang0, Lucky, Plup, Professor Pro, Leffen, Shroomed, Axe, Hungrybox, N0ne, S2j, Gahtzu, Moky, SFAT and more. And then a whole group of breakout players: Faceroll, Ben, Spark, Jmook, JFlex, LSD, Soonsay, Zains (to some extend), Pipsquiek, Aklo, Bobby, Magi, Ginger and of course ibdw going to top 5 I will always remember watching Scl during class and just freaking out cause Spark beat Hbox or that Mang0 absolutly destroyed that one week only dropping 2 games in all Sets...
