I usually don't do this in the comment section, but I just wanted to say I had a super busy and stressful weekend, but I had 10 minutes to relax today, and spending them watching your new video is just... so nice. Thanks Tim!
That means a lot, thank you! I'm glad I could provide some relaxation/entertainment for that short period of your day. Wishing you a more peaceful week ahead 💛
Hi Tim, I'm loving your videos lately. I especially appreciate the recap at the end, as it kind of ties the whole video together and gives you a nice overview of what you've covered. Which is incredibly helpful for people like me trying to learn how to style better. Keep up the amazing work!
i always feel insecure with myself ( probably because I'm overweight and don't look that good ), and never really learn about how to properly style myself, but I try to learn from your vids, and trying to be better and love my self more, thank you for all the outfits videos
Youre SO right. Before I watched this I was like "You don't need 5 pairs of sneakers", but then I'm like "Of course!" I totally agree. Now to start my sneaker collection...beginning with some white minimalist ones first.
You made me want to subscribe after roughly 10 years looking for very well made fashion content. You inspired me like no other. Keep up the great work!
you're the reason why i go shopping. I never felt the need of shopping or dressing myself since I don't know how to put myself into style until I saw your picture in pinterest and I said hey this guy is so cool I wanna try that one. And then me my wife went shopping the next day. Now, I can't stop dressing myself and exploring fashion, thinking what else i could be look like if I wear this and that.
Now that I’m getting older I start to gravitate towards timeless pieces rather than following trends. Love this video! Made me get my hands on my very first Oliver Cabell’s
definitely wouldn't buy oliver cabell shoes, no matter how much they get hyped on these fashion channels. plenty of posts on reddit of people being ignored and outright blocked by their super unhelpful dogshit customer service whenever an issue is raised, not to mention the shoes are crap quality and massively overpriced. but you do you
Big fan of all black sneaks. My go-to are a pair of all black high top Converse, which are super versatile - casually for regular trips, to even pairing with a suit at my friend's outdoor wedding.
As a "broke" college student, my solution to my small budget was combining my statement, high-top, and white sneakers by having a friend do embroidery on my cream converse high tops, with the embroidery being the same color. Can be subtle but to anyone who cares to look, it stands out. Just thought I'd share, the idea might interest someone else here.
This was so straight forward and complete i feel so in peace after watching it ! Now I actually can tell waht im missing in my shoe collection even though i have more the 200 pairs 😑 Thank you !!
I’ve been exclusively wearing Goodyear welted boots and shoes lately, but I still have a lot of sneakers in my collection. I have to agree with everything here, but it could definitely be pared down even more for the minimalists or for those trying to Marie Kondo their closets during spring cleaning.
so excited about this video!!! minimal white sneakers (boarding on white dad sneaks) are the reason i fell in love with my boyfriend of 6 years and are my go-to since childhood and forever forward. just like my black leather jacket.
I really love your list. Since you're more experimented, you manage to have one type of each, then add a statement piece. I have less experience with fashion, but I would have replaced the all-black shoe by an Old skool Vans black&white, and the statement pair by another NB one, different color scheme.
Finally! Someone who doesn't have any Air Jordan or Nike sneakers on his Top 5 shoes. Most RU-vidrs always have Air Jordan or Nike shoes on their recommendations. This one's unique.
Here in Ireland, Crown Northampton would be highly recommended. Especially their bestseller the Overstone Derby All White Calf Leather. Affordable and the quality is excellent/ high end. Shoe trees is always a must companion for long lasting wear.
The NB 997H are an insane value proposition when you consider the price to comfort ratio. I have had them in 3 different colors and I cannot recommend them enough.
Man I never in my life had more than 2 pair of shoes. Normally 1 boot for when it's raining and another pair of tennis. Problably because I was always too poor and never bought shoes, only received from donations. Now my life is better and I can buy whatever I need but I'm so not used to buy shoes, so I'm still using old pair of shoes that I have for almost 4 years. You helped me to decide what to choose and how to choose in this journey of "How to behave since I'm not poor anymore". Thank you.
All these are spot one. I'd say a loafer and slide for the spring and summer. And recently moving to a cold climate I really like the chunky puffer slip ons for the winter too.
Thank you very much Andrew! Appreciate it 🙏 Not sure what shoe shield is, I assume a brand of waterproof spray? I do waterproof all of my shoes yes, I posted a video on that just last week or the week before that :)
@@TimDessaint I mean Sneaker shields to be exact, pieces of plastic put in sneakers to prevent them from creasing in the toe box area when wearing. Thanks for your response ☺️
Wheres the jumper @ 7:14 from please, Tim? Its beautiful 😍 Think I'ma need a pair of those all black Oliver Cabells - perfect for a casual look but not too sporty-looking. Air Force 1s are my goto for white trainers though!
Hey I just wanna thank you for these gorgeous videos, I really like the chill vibes and I only started learning about how to dress in a better manner and these videos help out a lot, keep the amazing work . :)
And here I am asking my gf if my "outfit" is okay, and she tells me that "yeah you sleep in that t-shirt pretty often". I think I need to step my game up lol
If I can suppress my obsession with shoes LMAO and limit it to only 5 , these are the shoes that will comprise my shoe collection: 1. Leather shoes for formal events. (my favorite is Florsheim. I got one which is still with me for the past 26 years) 2. All white sneakers (they are so easy to style and incorporate with my existing ward robe) 3. Statement sneakers, to spice up a neutral colored outfit. (if I'm gonna have one in a specific color, I will pick one in red or yellow) 4. Gym shoes (not all shoes you should wear during a work out) 5. Black sneakers ( for the rainy days. Hey, I don't want my white shoes to get covered up in mud and get wet)
I just bought a pair of John Lobb Levah’s in off-white. These spectacular sneakers are IMO the zenith of super premium expensive grail minimalist sneakers. The glove soft veg tan leather is simply sublime.
If I could buy five pairs of my Nike Huarache Ultra Runs in Triple Black, I would. I like the look of those Oliver Cabell’s, but you know, that silhouette is massively wholesale’d all over the place; willing to bet they’re the same thing you can get for $80~ from Express but with a different tread pattern on the outsole.
I suggest 990 or 992 instead of 997. I had 997 and it is light weight and have comfy cushioning, but 990 and 992 is more stable and more comfortable. Feels like the shoes are hugging my feet. Highly recommend!
The pink shoes are amazing ! Nice concept for the video, personnally I'd rather get Giesswein Cachmere shoes for the black and white one, there are classic yet original and the comfort has no equivalent
