I mean, players usually do not care if a male character is married. If anything, gacha players prefer it that way since it means the male character is not going to come into conflict with yourself over love triangles with the female characters you added to your team.
Reminds me of someone... Candle Knight as a boss: Literal walking nuke. Candle Knight playable: "I poke with stick." I was so friggin' disappointed about this one too. Her being a top-tier AoE Caster seemed OBVIOUS to me.
Harold is such a breath of fresh air: a non backstabbing Victorian militant (from the Duke of Caster, no less) who is happily married and treats his men well, regardless of infection statuses. Hope more characters follow in his footsteps.
@@FirasDuqarael_ hes half decent as a wandering medic, he can provide good emergency healing that mulberry sometimes cant, but im really disappointed he was given in an event with 0 elemental damage so he couldnt be used for any reason.
Most of the ops are in their 20's and 30's, pretty reasonable to not be happily married at that age. so harold being the one already in a long marriage in his 50's makes sense
And you may not be wrong, because it was hinted that Noir does have feelings for Yato. I belive in the Monster Hunter collab, but feel free to correct me on that.
Reading both Noir and Yato files for the MonHun version,even the HR employee ships them as a couple and keep seeing them doing couple-like things on the landship. And Noir files make it seem like they are more than friends at this point.

Genuinely need more ops who canonically have a romantic relationship, playable blood related parent-children, etc. it gives the operator more "life" and "character"
@@mionatsume5071 Viviana did saw their weapon(it has the Nearl crest) in that weird Void Dimension during Zwillingsturme, hence we got that scene of Mlynar coming to meet her after she send out the letter to Margaret. Possibly dead I guess but it's the void dimension, who knows what the hell it actually is. We do get to see them in the background with Mlynar skin though.
Honestly I welcome more OPs that have deeper relationships that go the extra level. Whether it'd be more family relationships or tint hints that certain OPs have chemistry/care about one another a lot. Like how they dropped some hints about Noir and Yato.

Was just about to make this comment lol the Genshin fandom would lose its mind if one playable character was already in a happy romantic relationship or (God forbid) boy/girl playable characters end up having romantic hints (Alhaithem/Kaveh + Ei/Yae Miko are proof that the fandom won't get too mad if the hinted ships are LGBT) You only need to look at the Scaramouche and Nahida situation (which had zero romance context or subtext) for proof of how bad it got. Or how some freaks lost their shit over Noelle and Mika...Being good friends and INTERACTING. Or some CN fans hating Furina cause she gave more attention to Neuvilette and not the Traveler (oh no- a character is closer to someone they've known for centuries and not the self-insert they've known for a few days.) Genshins fans are just another breed of crazy that needs to be studied.
For once, Yato and Noire are two characters I can ship on. Beside in Arknights, our MC Doktah already been established as a "Parental figure". Probably starting with Amiya who never said anything Romantic or Suggestive comment to us, instead more like a worrying kid. I think only few ones do show any hints of flirting, like Gravel, Angelica or Muelseye
I really hope more gacha games create more taken/married characters. It creates more dynamic in their character, and makes it more BELIEVABLE at least. I mean back then Granblue Fantasy have married/taken characters and A LOT OF THEM, and the game still runs to this day. And the game was created back in 2014. I really hoped Arknights have more characters that have canonically romantic relationship with someone. It is just weird seeing someone like Mlynar, Silverash (somehow didn't get politically married), Lee, Gnosis, Degen, Matterhorn, Gladiaa, and many more didn't have any romantic relationship. IMO it makes sense in Arknights too since most of the operators are legit adults.
This, I need more romantic relationship in Arknights. I mean REAL romantic relationship, Harold was vague enough that most people won't realize it if they didn't read his story (& maybe files) The only canon couple I found is like- what? Wei Yenwu & Fumizuki? Nearl's parents? I need more bruh....
Weirdly enough, FGO has some married/romantic characters, like Sigurd(s)/Brynhildr(s) and Artemis/Orion. Doesn't stop you from giving and receiving valentine's chocolates, though.
The argument of "gacha games shouldn't have canon couples because of the playerbase" means nothing to me when FGO literally has at least 5 canon male/female couples between playable characters. You just gotta have the balls to do it.
@@FrostByte262 Romeo and Juliet are one example, they have an event dedicated to their wedding too. Eugen had a wife and his daughter is now a famous knight. Aliza and Stan are also a couple too, there are 4 events just about those two being madly in love. There are many more but those are some that come up first in my mind.

I actually really liked Harold even before reading the event, him being married actually added so much more to his character. I hope they add more married characters it's really a very good trope that shows how the character will love and care for their significant other.
Yeah but just a boyfriend, they're not married yet. Basically she got proposed but she's a rock n roll still young and want to be free don't wanna stay at the same place/city. She went on adventure while her bf run a restaurant but later the bf passed away and Coldshot took over the restaurant and running it until Jessica alter event. I believe she went back to the city not because of her bf died but because she want to take the restaurant pretty much. When people say she's a widow it's just a meme same as ex-wife Kal'tsit.
I do think AK need more character already in relationship with other characters. Especially those characters in their 20s and 30s I mean their story is already heavy, adding some realism to it would only complement it well.
Despite being a Waifu-Colletors game. I usually much more interested by being a Wingman & shipping a bunch of characters, because I see that their relationship dynamics works much better than our character, AKA Doctor, AKA Self-Insert. I would be giggling & smiling when I found a couples, like Noir Corne & Yato, Logos & Mudrock, Vigil & Penance, Suzuran & Shamare, Elysium & Myrtle, and many other forbiden ships that if I say it you guys will choke me
Arknights somewhat pushes pairs together at times though they do keep it vague enough for wiggle room. I wouldn’t mind some of the characters especially the older ones having relationships or families already though.
Silverash has kids if i remember right. And nearls uncle is a playable character (forgot his name, he is the other shwing shwing gaurd). Im almost positive he also has a spouse. Feel like there is more people in a relationship in AK then you would think
AFAIK SilverAsh doesn't have children (the only members of his direct family that we know of are : grandfather in Victoria (from the manga.), his parents (both died when he was young), his father's brother (Chester? I think that was his name?) and Pramanix and Cliffheart (his sisters). No known lover nor children. As for Mlynar (depressed schwing schwing uncle) as far as we know he's celibate as well. Of the Nearl family, we know : the 2 Nearl sisters, their parents (missing), their father's brother (Mlynar), their father's cousin (Zofia). I don't remember there being more Nearls in the story rn. Mlynar's social circle seemed to have been kinda limited from what we've seen so far, so he probably didn't have a romantic relationship before joining Rhodes Island. 🤔
I think we need more characters that are married or in a relationship. Hell Hypergryph give me a pair of married operators whose talents sync with each other, that'd be badass. Lore-wise operators with various relationships that don't center around liking Doctor is more colorful and makes more sense too imho. I can simp for everyone on this ship but I don't need everyone to simp for Doktah lol.
For some reason i was so happy when Harold appeared, i don't even know why. Lmao It's probably because you can make a random character that i have appear on screen and i would be like: "THAT'S MY BOY/GIRL, THEY'RE THERE! :D" of just because i'm happy that he has a lovely family? I mean, i would be happy if i just had known that one of my friends had married, i would be happy for them. I guess it's the same for a Character i like, "Good for them. Good for them, indeed"
I having a mixed feeling about this topic ,on one hand i dont really mind a character have a relationship ,its not like i want every character to be player waifu ,but on the other hand ,it feel suck when the character u like have relationship ,and u cant control which one ,recently i find a character i like have a relationship (in other game),which i get it its a fiction a game ,i move on ,but it feel really suck .

If they introduced the character to be already in a relationship or taken it should be fine. Things that can create a drama is where a character that used to be single and then later they develop a relationship. So it's more of a firts introduction. I personally more of an observer or guardian rathen than self insert when playing a gacha game. Pretty much same as watching anime.
The only gacha game I know that the limited characters that have relationship is epic seven. It's pretty reasonable for gacha game didn't made the characters have relationship. But for me seeing some characters have relationship made the characters more alive. Maybe just me like seeing romance story😂
Honestly, they need to do more like this. Just straight up give a clear confirmation. Same case for when a character actually has interest eith doctor, just be firm. Also, talk about being firm, I'd like to also push them to just state the doctor's face at this point. Like the doctor looks quite handsome in Kivotos, why is he still shy in Terra?
