You are by far the best nutritionist RU-vidr that i have seen! I was loosing weight going vegan, but was left feeling tired and weak. It is is very hard trying to get your proteins and fats, (at least it was for me). I also was never satisfied and always went to bed hungry. I noticed i was loosing muscle in my body. When i found your channel, I was worried i would gain it back, but i did not feel good and had no energy, so i thought i would follow your advice. Not only did i continue the weight loss, but I learned so much about the importance of protein and good fats!!! Now, i'm not hungry after eating, and i was able to finally have energy to start an exercise program! I feel so good!!! It also makes it easier to cook protein meals with my husband now instead of separate!!!! Thank you for educating me the proper way to take care of myself!!!! This is by far the best channel here!!! I love you Autumn!!!!

What a sweet little a y! Congratulations to you and your hubby!♥♥ I know she will have a great role model for healthy living! I put my infant in jogger stroller , that show I started my post pregnancy workouts.. then went o him in a play pen while I went on my treadmill or did workout videos… he became a good athlete from middle school… still on college track team♥i love watching his meets

All kinds of potatoes including sweet potatoes, butternut squash, beans, quinoa, ancient grains, citrus fruits, yams are foods needed to produce progesterone. There is such a thing as fasting for your cycle, being perimenopausal, menopausal and post menopausal. At around age 40, estrogen and progesterone start to decline so you need to eat to provide your body with those hormones. There is a doctor trained in functional medicine on YT who has excellent info on this. I won't put the name because my comment will be deleted, which is sad. I don't innerstand why folks feel threatened by additional info.

@@napua5217 Speak for yourself. They help women produce progesterone when we start to lose it starting in our 40's. I'd suggest doing some research on how hormones affect the body and how foods and fasting work with them. Dr Mindy Pelz, a trained functional medicine doctor, knows all this stuff.

I do two eggs, 1 slice of cheese and my protein shake with my green mix. I do this about 6x a week and really never thought much about it, or that it’ll help me set up my day right.

Any tips on protein powder for those of us who hate protein powder. I hate the gritty texture taste protein powder gives to food anything that has protein powder in it. I immediately know it’s in there. One of your tips is to add protein powder to yogurt to make it taste better cause I hate the taste of plain yogurt. I don’t find adding fruit and all of that to make much of a difference. Is there anything else you would suggest adding to make it taste better?

I’ve been making your protein pancakes pretty much every morning for the last month. Ran out of vanilla protein powder so I (cautiously) used chocolate. I dare say, it’s even better with chocolate! I still used blueberries, but may try chocolate chips next time. Yum!

Your tips made me lose 12 kilos and I am no longer overweight. So thank you. A lot of the recipes are based around yoghurt, skyr or some other type of sour protein. I am probably the only person in the world that hates yoghurt or anything that is like yoghurt , buttermilk, skyr or even sour cream so much I even can’t be in the same room. It makes me gag. And I recently had a sip of a that contained yoghurt and had to run for the bathroom. Also plant based alternatives have the same effect. After a year of eating either scrambled eggs or chia pudding I trying to find something new. I would love a bit of advice on what alternatives there are. 😅

I’ve had the cottage cheese bowl for the first time with some almond butter and blueberries. Now at first I didn’t like cottage cheese but now since I put berries with it and almond it didn’t taste that bad

Yes, there certainly is truth to that. Although there's also individual variabilities in terms of blood sugar response.

@@qq1651 Yes, you are right. I did buy a cup of almond milk from a vendor near the SouthWest terminal, and it was noticeably sweet. Beggars can't be choosers, so I used it. Moving forward, I would like to find an alternative.

Grrrr….. the whey protein powder sweetened with Stevia (couldn’t find monkfruit) doesn’t go runny for pancakes & waffles like yours. Think more along the lines of biscuit dough. Any ideas how to get it runnier? I added water to the mix, achieved nothing 🤷‍♀️

You can try stirring in a zero sugar vanilla or chocolate protein powder! It really helps to cut back on the sour flavor while adding in a hint of sweetness. Hi! It depends on your individual response and whether or not you tolerate dairy products/are allergic to dairy proteins. For most people it does not. If you check your blood sugar before taking something, like LMNT and then test it again 45 minutes later you'll know if it broke your fast or not. This method can be used for anything drinkable or edible to see if it breaks the fast. Anything that raises your blood sugar technically has made a metabolic change and therefore has broken the fast. Typically LMNT does not break it fast for me even the flavored kinds. However, as Autumn has said in the past, if you're doing a strict fast you can do the unflavored option just to be safe...

Just so you know, it's possible to get a continuous glucose monitor for free or the price of a prescription depending on your insurance if your doctor approves and writes you a prescription for it. I used to always prick my finger eat or drink something wait 45 minutes to prick it again to test my blood sugar to see if it broke my faster or not. Having the CGM makes it a lot easier, and the kind I use is the freestyle libre 3 which updates my phone every minute with my current blood sugar. It's a total game changer and it makes experimenting with foods and drinks much easier to see how they affect my blood sugar. Try not to spike my insulin has become a fun kind of game and makes healthy eating and drinking fun and exciting.
