I think I've played her on support maybe once in my life, but I'm assuming it doesn't differ much from normal playstyle (except for setting up E with minions), and you just play around your ADC a bit more with your ult, as in use it more defensively rather than agressive. And itemization, no clue. I was too busy to even check s14 items, and I'm just starting to check them. My guess would be more of a lethality-ish build with some AS, just so you can pressure the lane a lot more in the early game, like a ranged pyke or something

​@@yuzuu1337 1 item Item on kalista supp was good and flexible (You could go Umbral/Serpent against Karma, Eclipse into Axiom arc to swap for a Botrk as last item, at least that was my standard, unless team comp lacked dmg and went Botrk 1) but when the new season dropped it fucked everything; Umbral and Drakktar are dead, Serpent's fang is a really bad item only good against sett/tahm/sterak, Opportunity lacks stats for how expensive it is, Youmuu's absolutely useless except for roam, and even then that's not as neccesary, Eclipse needs 3 procs of dmg to work and even if it has high ad, the bonus dmg from the passive deals less as eclipse lost the lethality, Voltaic Cyclosword is utter garbage as it just gives 100 bonus dmg on aa and the only good lethality item on her rn is Collector/Axiom arc, but soon collector will be nerfed, that's why i run several tests w several runes and found Kraken surprisingly is the best start for HOB, you can perfectly proc kraken then back off and E Q... also the passive dmg proc switched from magical to physical so it benefits from armor pen if you need mortal reminder, and for PTA best start is Botrk/Kraken. The playstyle hasn't changed, bully the ADC out of lane, abuse range and minion block to your advantage, zone them out of xp range if possible to turn the lane more in your favour and sometimes if your adc is decent you can perfectly 2v3 if their jungle is squishy ONLY if you're Lv4 and have 2 points on Q, as always, but now that bloodsong dropped you can play a hard poke lane until bloodsong then all in w pta to amp up even more dmg without sacrificing much pressure. The reason behind Kraken/Botrk/Collector as 1 item is... the support item changes. now that the support item is a fusion of the previous 2 types (Poke/CS). Old starter support items gave 2 Gold Per 10 Seconds and a 20g by every skill/aa up to 3 charges, which refilled every 12 seconds. Now it's severely different, sure, you get no more AD anymore, but you gained HP regen and a little more HP, and the most important part, killing a minion gives you 20 gold AND if you attack an enemy champion it grants 28 gold (40% increase) but the charge refill cooldown went up from 12 seconds to 18 (50% increase). Now... what's the catch? simple, use the support item charges to only focus on agression unless you're about to reach 3 unused charges, under which you MUST proc one on a minion or use them all if you're about to back. As for runes i still think 70% of the games HOB is the best option, Paired w sudden impact/Cheap shot against all in comps or taste of blood against hard poke lanes, then these 2 are non-negotiable, zombie ward is a must, the easiest to complete and ingenious hunter for reduced active item/trinket uses (Good if you're going umbral/youmuu/botrk) if not and feel unconfortable going ingenious you can go treasure if you're sure you win the lane or ultimate hunter for more free zhonyas for the ADC. For secondaries you can go precision/inspiration, if you go precision you must take alacrity and switch between Presence of mind/triumph/cut down and you can leave alacrity if your lane is a hard poke one. for inspiration you have multiple choices, You can go magical footwear into biscuits for hard poke matches, future market's into cosmic insight for more summs and better backs, or even dematerializer and aproach velocity in you really need them on that game if you know you'll be zoned a bit. For builds you get what the situation needs, but most games this season i'm going kraken into navori's w zerks (I honestly don't like ionian boots, especially since they are t1 boots and only give you 15 AH and 12 summoner spell AH), zerks outperform ionian boots at all stages of the game, you can also start eclipse if you're severely behind but that almost never happens if you don't die 5 times in lane... you go botrk second if their team has 2 tanks and take cut down w LDR and just focus on cutting down their tanks, if they're full squishies you could go lethality but honestly the items don't convince me, you can go kraken collector navori against those... then as situational you can take the old reliable GA as last to cover yourself so the adc has more chances of living. And for the support item you choose all games Bloodsong, it's out of the question any other option, especially if you go PTA. Oh god i ended up throwing up a tantrum kek, but... i guess this is over 2 years of this off meta... and if you're wondering why i play her as support is not only because i got bored of adc/top, but also usually as adc you get cut down, so i prefer to be the support and do my best to divert the attention from the adc to me as i can deal w pressure and i act as a seal between their assasins and the adc (They can't kill the adc if they don't kill me first) On anticipation, sorry for the wall of text.

Not really, on hit adcs in general are in a bad spot rn, so the only way to play her seems to be crit with lethality, which is missing the point of her

we all started somewhere, my initial gameplay with her resulted in around 40% if not lower wr across 50 games... in normals... SO KEEP IT UP

yes PTA is very underrated, but Lethal tempo is still better in some situations, just because it has much higher ramping DPS in longer fights, so if enemy is a bit more on the tanky side, its still worth considering And when it comes to the items, I still have to learn about them, I barely played last few weeks. But once its all checked im gonna post my findings on my discord server and mobafire!

understood! I recommend giving Cyclosword a try, to me it's a better Prowler's since it synergizes with Kalista's passive very well
