I think if you went with very thin pro acryl pale pink over the blue then the olive flesh you might get a little closer to the undead flesh you were looking for

The scheme looks great on those Berzerkers. My Navy Breacher Kill Team is themed after the old school doomguy, with the more garish green and the light grey helmet. It would be an interesting matchup between these two teams.

I would have done a white color, shaded it with a black wash, then went back and layered/highlighted with that same white.

For skin tones, I use speed paint from army painter. Prime or undercoat the skin area white then put the army painter on. You can add to it, but for table top ready, it looks great to me

I love Warhammer as much as the next guy but I have to say Slayer outplays far too many Primarchs. That is if we’re accounting the fact he can canonically respawn in hell/the warp and come back angrier/stronger then yeah no he could end up killing most of them if he really wanted to.
