Hey everyone. I hope that this guide helps even just one person. I went ahead and did a run and commentated over it. Best of luck out there guys, you got this! :)
One little useful tip: There's always at least one room with 3 fishing spots adjacent to the Hunllef room. So if you're just looking for fish, it might be a good idea to check all those rooms.
To be fair, infernal has been done with no food, no prayer pots, no prayer drain. The list goes on but I am sure you know the list of achievements. So ya.. it’s simply a mechanic/time investment issue. With most players.
Hey man, just wanna say thanks for this video. I have much higher stats on my iron than you do on this char, and I was getting frustrated trying to complete t2 prep consistently because I thought t1 wasn't good enough, and I "needed" it for the fight. Now I realize that I can just do chill t1 prep and get better at the Hunllef fight itself. Got a lot of confidence from this video. Appreciate it!
Damn, here I was thinking my base 85s combat stats weren't good enough to get me a CG win. Looks like I just need to git gud. Your advice on not eating while hitting Hunllef and trusting the max hit is something I've never heard before but it makes perfect sense. I hope I can get my first KC soon! Thanks for making such a great video. :)
The speed and accuracy of your clicks is a thing of beauty. I just gotten back into the game after about 5 years of not/barely playing any games really and I feel like that's straight up hindering me because my clicks take so much time. Getting better, though. This full run is amazing to look at and take away from. Thanks for the video!
Firstly, thank you! It's only because of practice. The more you do it, the better you will get/be. I hope this has helped you and I wish you nothing but the best of luck on your runs! :)
Ahahah, tbh before I uploaded the video, I obviously watched it back and I say "right" and "boys" a sickening amount of times! LOL! Either way, thanks for the sub and I hope this was at least a little bit helpful! Much love
Im trying with t2 armor... This video gave me the green light and confidence I WILL win. All my stats are around 5 higher and you do it with t1 armor like this... Its going to happen!! I think I panic eat a lot and mess my prayer activations a lot
Early on while learning, treat hunllef like zulrah. Movement and prayer > gear and eating. Only panic eat a food below 14 hp otherwise movement is a priority. In fact the sooner you view hunllef as less of a boss and more of a puzzle, you'll pick up lots of speed learning.
So my combats are fairly good (90 atk, str, prayer; 91 def; 94 mage; 99 range and hp), but I struggle mechanically with content like this. The only boss I can really do well is Vorkath. That being said, you make me feel like I can get this! I think a T2 would be better to compensate for some of my mechanical deficiencies no? Or is the prep time not really worth it?
Hi there! Firstly, thanks for the comment. If I’m honest, T2 would not be a bad idea. The tornados/Hunleff don’t hit as hard and you should be able to get to Hunleff with plenty of time still. You can still follow this guide, just instead of getting 3 of each material, you’ll need 7. (Btw, make sure you have enough shards to make everything). My advice is try T2, Hunleff and the tornados will be much more forgiving and see how it works for you. Best of luck brother man!
just wanna say if you get really good at demonic gorillas then this fight will be sooooo much easier for you. a lot of the mechanics here are also in other bosses
Just got my first kill on my first attempt :D. Great guide and the fight really isn't THAT much harder than the regular Gauntlet imo. Obviously I might die the next 5 times I try, but if you stay calm the only difference is one additional tornado which is not the end of the world
nice video! i've been doing t2 but am trying to get t1 runs down, what are the tiles in the hunleff room for? i'm aware of the phase 3 safespots, but the ones toward the corners?
Thanks for the comment! :) tbh… I have no idea. I thought to myself, “how can this be the most cluttered thing for my viewers?” And that’s what prompted it! Haha (kidding but kinda serious). I’ve removed them all now but just for me they helped get the movement down a bit. Best of luck at cg and keep pushing forward. Try not to get discouraged :)
Great guide, I've been eating to full hp whenever possible and it definitely hurts my overall kill. I keep missing the prayer switch by like 1 tick and getting hit for 40s
Eating to full is better dps overall, but definitely do what works for you. In my first 1,000 kc i tried to eat between nado clicks, but this freaks some people out. Now I just kinda camp lowish hp cause my brain is half off after so much kc.
I have 89 range and 82 mage, with 74 prayer and rigour. Should i get 77 prayer and buy augury for qol? Also, im not as good as you are at the game, so are those stats good for cg?
Hey man! Firstly thanks for the comment :). So, augury only boosts magic attack and not damage. Rigour is MUCH more important than augury. I don’t think it’s needed. With that being said, those stats are A-okay! Keep at it, follow the guide and best of luck!! P.S. --> I don't want to say that augury won't help. I'm just saying that rigour is much more needed in CG. But keep in mind, the end decision is up to you :) as mentioned earlier, gl and you got this!
@@gabe6065 of course man, I want to help the boys out however I can! Just wanted to say… in the world of osrs, corrupted gauntlet is one of the harder pieces of content. Be easy on yourself, stay persistent and you WILL get it!
@@JiffypopJim im more willing to do this learning process than ill be willing to go for the inferno, inferno costs alot for gear and resources and alot of time, gauntlet is no cost but time thats what i like about it
Couple highlights: 1. I mean to say halberd when talking about the spike haha 2. If anyone would like me to make a video about redemption procing, let me know down below! 3. Apologies for the *all over the place* talking at times. Trying to commentate during a live run was a bit tricky haha ;) Enjoy the video and let me know if this helped!!
Hey thanks for the run through video. If it helps you could record a run and then commentate separately after the clip in an editing program so you can pause the video and point things out and structure it how ever you want. I agree with you that the hunllef fight is skill but there is a huge rng factor that people get discouraged by. I'm 90 magic and 87 range but sometimes, despite good pray switches (offensive and defensive) I just can't get enough hits and in T1 armour I can't outlast his hits on me. It happens and I think that's a huge reason why so many people find it hard. Because they understand the concept, the movements and the prayer switching but get smacked around while not hitting anything sometimes. But this video was a nice guide to show what the end result is after trying and improving over time. Thanks for the video!
Bro, you can grind the spike? Insane tip. Thank you. Also, could you peak my run and see if there's anything else I'm missing? Edit: I feel alot less insecure about my run having finished the video. Great tips, I love it.
@@JakePlaysOSRS1912 Hello sir! I’m gonna be completely honest in the fact that I skimmed it ;). But I will say a few things: 1. If you have 80 shards, and a weapon frame, it’s very handy to make a t2 staff right off the bat. When you need shards and let’s say all you find are scorpions, unicorns and wolves for instance, a better weapon than the sceptre can help make it a bit quicker and seamless. (Keep in mind, this is handy in general, but helps a lot if you’re interested in speeds further down the line. If you are getting the comps, and you feel comfortable with your method, don’t fix what ain’t broke, right? ;) 2. Searching for the demibosses on the first run. This… I’m a little indifferent about tbh. Again, similar to above, if you are comfortable with your method, I see no issues. Again, it more or less comes down to comfortability and what you’re used to. 3. Hunleff. The main thing I’d really say brother is confidence and practice. The best thing that helped me the most when learning was f keys and what your Home Screen should be (meaning, when you’re attacking Clifford from hell, what screen should be your main screen (inventory, prayer, etc.) prayer in my humble opinion. With his different attack styles and the pink ball that disables your prayer, you’re going to be on that screen quite a bit. 4. Nothing further, I see little things but it will come with time! Thanks so much for the comment and if there’s anything else you’re needing, don’t hesitate to reach out! Gl brother!
@@JiffypopJim I honestly think that's the next move. I need to stop killing the smaller ones and making the weapon earlier could definitely clean up my prep phase. I appreciate the input!
I like to "scout" a demi boss room on the first trip out so when i come back i can attune the correct weapon. I still have nightmares from that 1 run where there were only 3 demis out of the 9 rooms and i crushed the spike for shards xD the dragon and dark beast were in the last 2 rooms ._.
I hear that completely! Haha, that’s what I wanted to accomplish in this video is even if you get bad rng on Demibosses, you can still get the Hunleff. Either way, hope you enjoyed!
Yeah I made to huf in tier 2 prep but can't kill him skill issues and I don't want to sit here and learn with same stats like this guy I try again with better stats 😂
@@arch1q892 T2 will offer you plenty of mistakes, with 700kc I can garuantee t2 can be objectively done in time even with the worst possible rng imaginable. T1 prep would be faster though, time saved in the long run.
You didn't give any real reason why people should stay low hp other than basically telling everyone to learn to tick eat lmao Idk man I just can't do it, can kill it when I make sure to stay healed though so just gonna keep doing that I guess >.>
Don’t get discouraged (but I know it can be hard not to)! You got this. Be easy on yourself, it’s not easy content. If there’s anything I can do to assist just in this comment thread, let me know! :)
Today i learned that steel skin is extremely good. I usually eat all my fish but after i camped steel skin with this method. It was a walk in the park.
appretiate the effort put into the video but even with base 70s and 80s you dont need more than 2 pots with t1 prep. also 13min kc is ridiculous i can average sub 10min kc with low lvl iron
Hey, thanks for the comment! This was just to showcase how to do it on a lower level account. I mean, I have a sub 5 on my level 104, I do know what I'm doing haha. But gl to you sir and I hope you get what you're after!
