Heck yeah SAFE saves another one. I've had SAFE save countless planes. My Conscendo glider was lost while thermaling on a high overcast day. I looked down at my transmitter for 2 seconds and looked back up and could not find it. I put it in SAFE mode and held full left aileron so it would orbit mostly in place. It felt like forever before I was able to find it but was probably two or three minutes. Also bugs, sweat, sneezes, and everything else that could interrupt your flying makes having SAFE worth it! Great save!
Nice flying!! Your so lucky you can get those high voltage packs. Here in Australia these SMC hv packs are worth an absolute fortune. I really want to try them out but the price just puts them way out of reach. Love the Super Scorpion by the way and your video content has been very helpful.
Just got mine delivered there. My left wing carbon mount was off by 5mm so wouldn't fit onto the fuse, however I told manufacturer and they posted me out 2 brand new wings plus stickers. Can't fault them! Not a huge fan of the graphics but I don't own an orange plane so I guess its a nice bright new addition to my hanger. It also did come with the FMS Viper90 motor and Predator 120A esc (3s-8s) which was a nice suprise compared to the old outrunner and 6s 130A esc I was expecting it to come with (which would've been binned).
Happy to hear FMS took care of you! The Scorpion is basically a sleeker Viper. It uses almost all of the same components, except the wing servos are 17g instead of 13g.

You can have *tailerons* with an NX8 but you won't be able to change the receiver's flight mode from AS3X to SAFE. You'd need to upgrade your radio to a NX10 minimum.
What?! $500 is dirt cheap for a high detail, full feature 90mm EDF. It's all subjective, being broke doesn't change the fact that it is cheap for what it is.
