Retinoids shouldn’t be used that much. You have to take pea amount of retinoid and dab it in your whole skin... Using that much will worsen your skin barrier. And retinol is suitable for oily acne prone skin. And Beginners SHOULD NOT use 0.5%. Beginners should start from 0.2%. Do your research before making skincare videos.
Retinol tends to dry out the skin and HA is a highly moisturising agent. In sum, these two products balance each other out. You can apply HA right after cleansing/toning and then go in with your retinol product. Make sure you don’t use retinol with other actives such as glycolic, salicylic, etc lest you should break your skin barrier.
