You can grow a ton of herbs in pots, move them around in the summer. I grow enough to eat on picking several times for plenty to dry for the winter. Try lemon thyme if you can find it, nice citrus flavor great on chicken & sauces
Yes Ma'am I put salt and pepper in my taters. I use nothing but salted butter. I put in sour cream and a bit of minced garlic. and I always use whipping cream if they need more moisture. I am all about the fat! :) But then again I was born in AL and raised in TN.
I bought 5 sets of the pigtails from you. One for me and 4 as gifts for cooks. Everyone told me that they were amazed how handy and useful they were. I agree. I listen to your advice.
Fresh herbs are cheap and plentiful grown at home, if there is a little space and some sunlight. Easy to grow, can be preserved different ways. Thyme and chicken go together so very well. This recipe sounds so delicious!
Hi Tammy!!! I really liked your recipe for this Chicken. I never made it but I will one day. Looks yummy. Yes, we put black pepper in our mashed potatoes...Great Video!!!...🦋
My momma always used salt, pepper, margarine and Milnot evaporated milk. I use butter for everything except my mashed potatoes and I use blue bonnet margarine. I never use a mixer, I use my masher and we like our potatoes with small lumps. Most people don’t.
We always put salt, pepper, either milk or cream and of course butter in our mashed potatoes. We are from South Carolina and have always called ours mashed potatoes. To me, creamed potatoes would be very loose and a bit runny. My husband always mashes the potatoes with a potato masher. I don't think I've ever used a mixer.
I put black pepper in just about everything I cook, especially potatoes. It's yummy. I am gonna try the marry me chicken. I ordered another of your cookbooks. I can't wait to get it.
Thyme is an herb not a spice. Easy to grow and here in MD zone 7, it stays green all year long so you can always have it fresh if in a mild winter climate. It's the best!
Pretty plate. Just a suggestion: when you talk about a product a lot (like the thermometer) it would be great to include the link in the description. I did find it on your site but it took a while as I wasn't sure which category it was under. For others, it was under appliances. thanks!
I love this certain utensil that you have for sticking in your chicken and turning it and pulling it up. I am confused about your temperature gauge. This recipe sounds wonderful, and I can't wait to make it. We always put black pepper in our mashed potatoes.
We never put pepper in mashed potatoes then when I got married his family did. I won’t ever forget the look on my mom’s face when she saw him do that. lol
Hi Tammy and Chris, the Marry Me Chicken Recipe looks Delicious!!!! I put black pepper in my mashed potatoes, my Mama did it so I do to!!! Lol😊❤🙏 Ms. Ruby
This recipe does look like a chef-cooked restaurant dish. I will try this. In answer to your question, I do not put pepper in my mashed potatoes, only salt. But I'm sure yours are delish with the pepper in them. Thanks again for this yummy recipe.
Pepper @ the table. Don't like unsalted butter at all. Looks good, but I couldn't use the tomatoes cause husband doesn't like them. We love garden tomatoes tho.
Thyme, parsley, rosemary etc are all so easy to grow. I seldom have to buy fresh herbs anymore. When we bought this house, the owner had rosemary as landscape shrubs along the front porch. They stay green year round, look nice and smell wonderful. Had never seen rosemary used like that.
I use unsalted butter in homemade cake batters. The salted butter 🧈 is used in my soups, stews, casseroles, cheese sauces, etc. Your Marry Me Chicken dish came out looking scrumptious 😋 It was an easy recipe to put together. If I'm ever in doubt if my meats are cooked all the way through I will use a oven safe lid. This will quickly cook your meats through in a jiffy. ❤😊
Nope here in my part of Virginia none of my family nor I put pepper in our creamed potatoes. But yes sista got to have salted butter whenever I use butter!!! 😝
I love the pig tail flipper I got off your amazon sight. It’s one of my favorite kitchen tools. This dish looks delicious Tammy. Hey Chris. Love y’all!
I found the white lily pound cake mix. Did my strawberries just like did. It was so good. I have done a lot of your recipes and loved them. My favorite is your onion rings.
If im making my fancy mashed potatoes or twice baked I use white pepper, otherwise black pepper. For 5 pounds potatoes, I use 8 oz cream cheese, 1 stick salted butter, 8 oz sour cream, salt and pepper to taste, and chives if you want, I do twice baked the same , but top with cheddar after you pack the mixture back in the shells and bake at 350 until cheese melts. I always whip with a mixer.
This dish wasn't for me. But, when I made it the second time, I amended it by adding onions, bacon, dijon mustard, a few tablespoons of crushed tomatoes. Much better.
I agree with you about the butter. I never buy unsalted. I don’t understand cooks who say use unsalted butter, then you need to add salt to the recipe. I know, I know it’s about a controlled amount, but using salted butter has never made any of my cooking or baking too salty. (Not to say I haven’t been a little heavy handed on the additional salt at times, but that had nothing to do with the butter).
I don't put black pepper in my potatoes, but what I do put in is "Everything But the Leftovers" seasoning from Trader Joe's, along with some sour cream, and they're absolutely wonderful! That - and their "21 Seasoning Salute" - are two things you've got to try!
Unsalted butter is good for baking. Also, Mr. Chris should have known better than to doubt you on the temperature. I hope you got a back rub or something good.
If interested, try dicing up some celery and add it to some taters. Thanks for the video. I’ve had this before and it’s super hood. I’ll try yours as well
That looks really good and not so hard to do. I've never eaten that anywhere before. I'm just not a fan of chicken breast meat. I like the thigh better myself. But I guess this would work using boneless, skinless thighs too 😊. Thanks for sharing this ❤
Yummy. You know I asked for prayers when my sister passed away 4/19/23? Well, I need prayers again. My mom's mom just passed away a few minutes ago. 😭 4/28/24. 9 years ago, our family friend passed away 4/28/15. And, 4/28 is my younger sister's birthday. I know this will not be a happy birthday for her.
Turns out….it’s a SLAP YO MAMA chicken recipe 🤤 Absolutely DELISH - you can’t go wrong with sautéed garlic & herb 🌿, cream sauce 💥 with the sweet & tangy nuggets of sun dried tomatoes 🍅 mannnnn. This sauce could go on ANYthing (I left off the heat/red pepper flakes 👌)
