They will 100% love this show more than TVD I feel like. It focuses more on family than romance and overall I feel like it was better written than TVD.

I completely agree with you guys, I personally enjoyed the originals more because it was more mature and it's not about who's gonna end up with who. I'm really glad you're so open minded and enjoying it even tho it's the first episode
To be fair the vampire diaries isn't about who is gonna end up with who as well, but people lost the plot with the whole love triangle stuff and ships. It's always been about two brothers, told from Stefan's pov. You can see it more in the later seasons which is why as much as I love Nina, I was glad that people could finally see more of that once she left the show because it focused more on Stefan and Damon's relationship without making it about Elena. But I do agree The originals is WAY more mature than TVD.
@@RobloxMomma92 as you said they didn't really concentrate on the brother's relationship till at least season 6. I think it's because before that they were still fighting over elena. Tbh I don't enjoy Tvd because of the love triangle, I don't like love triangles and the fact that it was between brothers was even more inconvenient 😬
@@nora_1995 Stefan stopped worrying about Elena seasons before 6. Also the love triangle was not the main storyline, that was only one of them. The siblings storyline was focused on many time before season 6 or later seasons. But obviously 7-8 it was one of the only main focuses cause you know which main character leaves and no longer has screen times

Damon's peace wasn't with Elena in the finale, it was being reunited with Stefan again.The only love story I truly care about when it comes to TVD.
Guys remember that Klaus didn't use compulsion on Stefan till he knew that Stefan had betrayed him and was hiding an alive Elena. So, you can gather that Klaus respects free will of those he wants to show him loyalty, until they betray him.

Klaus is the one who lacks awareness of his wrong doings against his family and rarely or ever apologizes and shows true acknowledgement and regret for his actions

But to me it has always been clear that Elijah has been apologetic about those early years of Klaus' life and the role he played on it... That Klaus reaction was just because of the context of the moment and because of Elijah's other words; like his comparison of who or what is "more pathetic", Elijah's world view or Klaus'... And specially Elijah's pointed counter argument towards Klaus whole life outlook, that you have to be ruthless to survive, that you can't show feelings or even have feelings to survive, that love, compassion, caring, etc; are things that need to be rejected or you will die... And Elijah basically telling him that he values all of those qualities and still has "survived all these years despite of it" To me there is just no way that they spend all those centuries together, specially those early years, with how open Elijah is with his guilt and care towards Klaus, without ever having discussed it and Elijah never having said "I'm sorry"; perhaps it was just the surprise of hearing it in that moment or because he hasn't heard it in a long time

As far as why they would not compel Marcel. Klaus specifically said "I made him in my image and he bested me." That means that Klaus had to care about Marcel to some degree to even consider making Marcel in his image as he said. Klaus usually doesn't care about anyone. Let alone seemingly help someone. Therefore there is clearly something more that we do not yet know about Klaus's relationship history with Marcel. So excited to see your reactions for this show.
Also I think you guys forgot back in the TVD back door episode 4x20 Marcel was seen ingesting vervain in front of Klaus. And Marcel has his army doing the same so they’re not vulnerable to Klaus and Elijah compulsion

Plus they’re loyal to Marcel to a fault. They will naturally fight for him regardless because he’s garnered that respect from them. It’s not a smart move but I can see why they would do so

He fostered loyalty and respect from the vampires under him, gives them all a way to feed without going out of control etc. Since he doesn’t have the luxury of being more powerful than the Wolves and witches like the Mikaelsons he does what he does instead which I mean 🤷🏾♂️. I may be in the minority here but I actually don’t like this show cause I find it too slow and boring. Not tryna hate but moreso to worn y’all in case y’all think it’ll be like the vampire diaries. It’s not as interesting as TVD so y’all might get bored from time to time. This show certainly puts me to sleep
Well, the first season is a bit slow, yes. Sometimes it can look a little drawn out, but well, different taste. I kinda like it from season two onward.

Vicki dying after being an abuse victim by Tyler and being a drug addict because her mother was never home and Matt had to grow up without family. Bonnie losing every person in her life. Kai being a freaking serial killer trying to kill his kid siblings with a baseball bat. And this isn’t mature enough for you?
Klaus is my favorite & you will understand why by the end of the journey of this amazing series. I feel like he's so misunderstood. I usually don't watch the commentary just the reaction portion, but in this case for this show I will make an exception.
elijah is my favorite so when i first watched the originals i was so excited i was going to get more of him in this show. and then klaus staked him at the end again! i was so annoyed i started laughing hysterically that the same shit that prevented elijah from being in more of TVD was gonna sideline him in his own show!!! lmfao. but it's still a wild ride, excited to relive the originals with you guys.

As much as I enjoyed TVD and it’ll always be something I love, it’s definitely lacking in some aspects and it has to do with production and real life situations behind the scenes. The originals is just the entire picture, I love all the characters and the ending and it always had me wanting to go to the next episode, just accept that it’s an open comment section and that people can express how they feel regardless.

+Times6ix If you enjoy Vampire Diaries you have got to watch True Blood it is so much fun!!! If you have ever watched The Boys (the super hero show) and Vampire Diaries you’ll definitely enjoy it. It is very similar to The Boys because it is a show about what it would be like if Vampires actually existed in “our” world mixed with a murder mystery, romance, and some comedy. Season 2 of True Blood is still one of my favorite seasons of tv of all time. P.S. You guys should definitely do The Walking Dead and Breaking Bad if you’ve never seen them….HANDS DOWN THEY ARE AMONG THEE BEST SHOWS EVER! Plussss they tend to attract more views and subscribers because they are so popular and people seek new reaction channels reacting to it.

@@kbaelay2125 I don't think they'll mind the magic here, because in Tvd the magic was always a prop or just a way to solve everything. When there's a problem, Bonnie just learns a new spell and solves everything and then there's the other side and blah blah. In the originals magic is different and more exciting and is used by the villains not only the good guys plus there's way more fight scenes and action which they mentioned was lacking in Tvd so they'll definitely be happy about that 😂
Sure Tvd is fast paced but that's the problem, it's always the same plot over and over again. For the first 4-5 seasons it's all: someone's after elena, Bonnie uses magic and gets hurt, elena can't choose between damon or stefan. That's literally the whole show plot, it's repetitive which is why imo it's boring as hell, it's all teenage boy girl drama nothing is ever mature or serious even the enemies they just come and go. The most irritating thing imo is that they hype up the villains but then all of a sudden they're weak and the gang kills them with minimal effort.
Yall was confusing me when you said witch and compel it out of Marcel I would assume. Than you said witch. Threw me off 😅 . It's because Marcels still has an Army of Vampires. Although you don't want to eff with the Originals. An army of Vampires is still quite of ppl to go through. Stop Elijah will be easier to subdue, but Klauss could be different he just got to bite everyone, and they all going to die if they can't capture him.
I always laugh when people claim Elena is annoying and cries a lot. But then praise Klaus. Klaus cries more often and throws more tantrums than Elena has.
Not giving any spoilers and I'm not being biased I was an extra and 10 episodes of The Originals and 15 or 16 episodes of The Vampire Diaries lol they filmed it in a town about 10 minutes away from where I live... And Joseph Morgan AKA klaus's still one of my best friends to this day... But yes I was named dropping LOL but anyway this is definitely better than the Vampire Diaries it gets really really really really really really good y'all are in for a wild ride...
I mean if they tried it and failed to compel on Marcel I'd think he'd be pissed. It would all hinge on if Marcel can be compiled or not. Even if he could there were a lot of vamps around that would see it and be able to tell Marcel what happened. Klaus could try to compel them all but I'm sure at least one or two would be able to run away before he would get to them. For the most part why Klaus and Co do not compel them is mostly left up in the air.
