All the siblings had a hand in helping to raise Marcel. Rebecca taught him fencing, Kol was the fun/young uncle and Elijah was the one that steps in when Klaus’ was lacking as a father. Elijah’s interests in Marcel was that he saw him as Klaus’ redemption same as with the baby.

Its crazy they talk shit about how good Joseph morgans acting is. When he cries you can tell its real emotions he is pulling from. And they are like oh god here comes the crying again.... Its obvious they dont even like thsi show. Dont know why they even react to it. If they gonna shit on it the whole time. Low brow

I think with Natalie Dreyfuss (the actress playing Esther) the only reason her delivery seems off is because we are used to hearing it with the British accent. Like if you take one of her lines and say it using the same inflection, tone, and pacing she uses, yeah it doesn't sound like Esther, but then if you repeat it exactly the same way but add the British accent, it does sound a lot like Esther. (And yes, I'm a dork so I did this, just to test the theory) 😂🤣

I really hate these flashbacks with Kol and how Klaus and Elijah had more consideration for Marcel than for him. He just wanted to belong to the family
@Alewaxon
@Alewaxon 11 месяцев назад
Could it be because of Kol's own actions?... Don't get me wrong, I do have some sense of understanding for how Kol feels, the same way that I have understanding on how Klaus feels sometimes... But I also know full well that the reason why they often "feel left out" or "not liked" by their siblings, is mostly (not always, but most of the time) because of their own actions... You've seen earlier flashbacks (I would just leave it at that so it's not spoilery) so you know that Kol went full psycho pretty much from day 1 and he was putting the family in danger with his actions; now, he isn't the only one who has done so, so that's a valid argument, but the reality is that the opinion they have of him is earned

@@Alewaxon Yes I agree. Kol himself says in S3 that he never cared about controlling his nature but I think Elijah and Klaus are very hypocritical. Each brother dealt with vampirism in a different way and they thought everyone had to follow their own ways. In this episode it is shown how Klaus only joined Kol because of his jealousy of Marcel and Elijah. As if he was only important when it suited Klaus. My point about Kol is that it is always shown how the three siblings (Bekah, Elijah and Klaus) kept him out of their circle of eternal love. He always lived at the mercy of his brothers' wishes or he would end up in a coffin. And they never showed that they actually cared. I think it's sad when they take the dagger away from Kol and he realizes that there is a boy there (Marcel) who is considered more part of the family than he is.

@@rafaela5337 well to be fair klaus didn’t start daggering kol until 1702 before that kol was traveling the world being with witches and met back up with his siblings in Belaga in the 17th century and stayed with them in Spain and got daggered
@rayquancaldwell2548

I understand where your coming from but considering that he was the most reckless out of the siblings I feel like he would’ve wound up back in a coffin whether Marcel was in the picture or not
@nadiadare7226

@@sylkilaufeyson Kol traveled with witches? Was it said somewhere that he was separated from the others for a long time? I remember that he learned about Silas from the witches he hung out with, but I was more under the impression that the Originals had mostly been together all these years, sometimes hanging around. Why else would Klaus and Elijah decide to stab Kol when he talked about leaving.

Elijah always sacrifices his own goals and relationships for Klaus is tragic! Man can’t even have a life outside of Klaus because of Klaus’s jealousy! That’s a big brother worth having that Klaus doesn’t deserve but you root for them both because we love them both still. You also see why Marcel never liked Elijah and it makes sense
@Lila.Army1306
@Lila.Army1306 11 месяцев назад
Elijah always choosing the easy way. Why bother trying to reason with Klaus about Marcel? About both of them caring for him? No! It's better to ignore Marcel for the rest of their immortal lifes. Why not try to talk with Klaus about his interest for Hailey? No! Better to give up on his feelings for her, why bother? Even after Klaus said he was alright with them being together he still used Klaus as an excuse to not be with Hayley and still blamed him. He's a coward 🤷🏻‍♀️
@Alewaxon
@Alewaxon 11 месяцев назад
@@Lila.Army1306 Wow, what a way to do acrobatics with an argument and bend yourself into knots in order to make Elijah look bad and attempt to make Klaus look as a reasonable person... Also, you are death wrong about the reason why Elijah is pushing away from Hayley; it isn't for the benefit of Klaus or because of him, it's for Hayley herself and to push her to things, like her purpose with the wolves, that would help her
@Lila.Army1306
@Lila.Army1306 11 месяцев назад
@@Alewaxon I never said Klaus was reasonable. He's insecure and irrational and emotional. I have literally say so in other comments. Elijah is the one that claims to be rational and reasonable and "good" but still makes no effort. And Hayley didn't need to marry a wolf to be part of the pack. And it was her decision anyways. He took that from her. She chose him and he was too coward to do the same.
@Lila.Army1306
@Lila.Army1306 11 месяцев назад
@@Alewaxon And Elijah himself has thrown in Klaus's face the fact that he was one of the reasons why he didn't pursue a relationship with Hayley, so 🤷🏻‍♀️

I like this Esther, of all the bodies she is the closest to the original.

For me Ester's extremely poor casting was the biggest issue. I like what her character is doing. It's not just that she looks 16 but they could not possibly make her a more childish looking 16yr old. At least make her taller with longer hair and more mature looking. I really didn't like any of them being recast. Finn & Cole's casting was much better though. With Davina it's different. Her character was introduced as being young and powerful. For Ester this is a huge down grade visually.

Yeah... these guys "analysis" are fucking insane sometimes. Yes, se lines are cheesy here and there, but overall, almost every performance in the Originals is really good. They just want Klaus murdering fools left and right. But then the show will become boring and less interesting 😂😂😂 As much as I hate fangirls wishing they could date Klaus, he is a very interesting character. Because for all.his might and how he could easily have killed everyone in episode 1, his drive to be loved and belong, have loyalty, he just doesn't want to. That desire stops him from just brutalized everyone and move on. Dude was hoping from town to town in Europe, painting and hosting parties. You think this is someone who only wants to murder everyone?

This is one of my favorite episodes in season 2, shows you just how wild Kol was/is. You see exactly why he's been daggered when you first see him in season 3 of TVD. Hell even Klaus got shook at the thought of having to deal with him had Klaus used his dagger on Elijah during that opening fight scene. Lmao That alone told you everything you needed to know about Kol. Kol always been an interesting character to me, and I'm excited for ya'll to learn more about him and why he is the way he is. The original wild child! Lmao I also wanted to say Mikael is such a bad ass and I just love the actor that plays him, he's so intimidating and you understand exactly why Klaus was on the run from his ass for centuries. 😭Plus Elijah giving up his relationship with Marcel to help Klaus is so selfless and why I just love Elijah, he's a lot like Stefan in that way. Always sacrificing their happiness for their brothers and suffering in silence. I adore them both and they're both not as appreciated as they should be in this fandom imo.

20:05 she is the mother of that child and Klaus is not even talk about the baby except to talk her that she would have her revenge and her daughter back in episode 1 so he is making sound like it's not killing him not having the baby around like it's killing her. She just not want to be alone in her pain, and she can not go to Elijah because if he said that everything would be ok it feels just like empty promises.

5:26 this flashback added weight to Marcel and Klaus’s relationship and shows how much Klaus loves Marcel. It makes the events of S1 make more sense, esp. why Klaus never killed Marcel.

I love Elijah but Yes Elijah always showed so much loyalty to Klaus and was solely intent on his redemption yet never put that effort into Kol or Finn. Also, Elijah wanted to be close to and raise !Marcel but if he did Klaus got jealous and raised hell.
